In the year 2000 we purchased the land to fulfill our 30 year dream. It would be 15 more years of waiting and planning our dream cabin. It has been a most rewarding experience to be able to enjoy the cabin, sharing it with friends and family. Little River Canyon is a piece of paradise with so much to offer from hiking, kayaking, and swimming to just relaxing on the back porch listening to the river below. It is our hope that others will enjoy it as much as we do!

Perfect location!

We were working in the woods on the Cumberland Plateau including Little River Canyon Park so the cabin location was perfect. This was also one of the best equipped kitchens I've seen. There was more than enough room for the two of us - we didn't use all the amenities (TV, gas fireplace) but it was good to know they were there if needed or when we return with our families. Thanks for a wonderful place to stay!

Great cabin in the woods

Great 2 bed 2 bath cabin in the woods. Cabin had a wonderful patio to sit on and watch the wildlife. Very clean and in perfect condition. A great place for a quiet getaway. Highly recommend.

GREAT CABIN

We were very happy with our choice for a weekend getaway. The cabin was immaculate and nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable as well. Would definitely consider a return trip!

Everything was beautiful, clean and well maintained and furnished. It is in such a peaceful setting...almost secluded feeling, and we loved that. We would definitely consider returning and will recommend it to our family and friends.

Prefect weekend getaway!

My Husband and I went to get away for the weekend. This cabin was beautiful. We didn’t want to leave. It is so close to the the little river canyon that you can hear it. The owner has put such detail into everything. I hope to someday return.

Peaceful

We would highly recommend this cabin! The pictures and description of the cabin were accurate. The cabin was very clean, private and in a safe location. The cabin had a very peaceful feel with the beautiful decor and large porch to relax! Great location for hiking and the serenity of the outdoors. The owners have thought of everything to make their guests feel at home! This is a true gem in Fort Payne!

Northern Alabama Getaway

We booked this property based on the few reviews and pictures of the property. It lived up to the expectations. The property location was perfect. Out of the way and nestled in the woods away from any sights and sounds of the city. It was a 15-20 minute drive to any restaurants, grocery store, etc., but that's what we wanted. Quiet and solitude. The accommodations were excellent. Master bed and bath downstairs. Second BR and Bath upstairs. Perfect for mom and dad and teenage daughter. The kitchen was well equipped with just about anything you would need. Full size washer and dryer took care of our laundry needs. The full-length porch was a wonderful place to start your day or end your evening. Very well decorated, with lots of books to read of you wish, and movies to watch. TV's in the living room and both bedrooms. We loved our stay and the locations and proximity to Little River Canyon Preserve, DeSoto St. Park and other activities was great. A great stay.

Beautiful, quiet and peaceful

We really enjoyed our stay. It was very clean and just as beautiful as the pictures. It was quite and very peaceful.. We will be planning another trip in the near future and definitely will rent this again..

Relaxing stay!

We loved the cabin and all the special touches the owners used to decorate. It was just what we were expecting. The cabin was clean, well furnished , and had everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed the covered porch, the game table, and the fire pit! We will book this cabin again!

Home Away from Home

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here, cute with a big home feel, nice amenities, clean, loved the fireplace and back porch. The owners put lots of thought into decorating and making it welcoming. Our twin 14yr old boys enjoyed checkers and reading in such a quiet space. Speaking of quiet, it was so peaceful you could hear yourself breathe, we even saw wild turkey while visiting. It’s close to the Canyon Rim Rd Road which is a must do!!! Don’t miss the overlook, Crow Point. Visit Little River Canyon and walk down to the falls, if it’s hot enough bring your swim trunks and take a dip, don’t forget to pack a picnic! We’ll come again.
