Lakefront Cottage on South Manistique Lake

Escape to South Manistique Lake in this 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home located just outside of downtown Curtis. Wonderful lake view with 200 feet of frontage to enjoy.
Master bedroom has a king bed and attached bathroom. It also has great lake views and walk-in closet for storage. Bedroom 2 has another queen bed with large closet and lake view. Bedroom 3 has two twin beds with a walk-in closet and a roll-a-way bed if needed.

Open floor plan with fully stocked kitchen to fulfill all your cooking needs. Large TV in living room with Roku for guest log-in. Washer and dryer available in closet by the kitchen.

Enjoy peaceful days on the deck overlooking the lake followed by roasting marshmallows at the fire pit at night. Take a tour of the bay with the three kayaks and two paddle boards or try out the great fishing the lake offers. Bird watchers will enjoy the regular pursuits of the Kingfishers that perch in trees by the water or the regular visits from a variety of ducks, geese, Loons, and occasional Osprey and Bald Eagle sightings. Watch the woods at the front of the house for daily deer activity among other wildlife. Great location for stargazing and also near hiking and snowmobile trails.

If you are looking to explore, we recommend area attractions such as Tahquamenon Falls, Kitch-iti-kipi (Michiganā€™s largest spring), Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore, Seney National Wildlife Refuge, Oswaldā€™s Bear Ranch, Garlyn Zoo Wildlife Park, or rock hounding in Grand Marais.

The cottage was more than we expected. Super clean everywhere. Not a spiderweb to be seen. The layout was great for 4 adults and 3 kids. Centrally located for many UP activities. The windows that faced the lake were large. The BEST part of our experience was the peacefulness both inside watching the water and sitting outside. Highly recommend the Lakefront Cottage!

We've stayed at alot of VRBO 's in the past 10 years. This was BY FAR the nicest, best equipped rental we have EVER had!! First of all ,this was the first time we've had a KING bed!! Not just a king, but the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in, including our own!! The queen bed was great for my son and daughter inlaw too, as was the single that my adult daughter had.The kitchen was fully equipped, cake tins, muffin pans, baking sheets, pots , pans, nice plates enough silverware for a party, etc... AND every drawer, every cabinet, every closet, told us exactly where to look for what we needed!!The house was emmaculate when we arrived. TV was great, internet connection fast, the dock, the shed with the kayaks and paddleboards. Plenty of outdoor seating....I could go on further...EXCEPT FOR ONE THING...We only got to stay a week, and that made us sad...Thank you for the best stay ever, and as I said when we left. We'll be back!

Our stay was awesome. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed and the host was great too. Location was also great as we did a lot of sightseeing. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

We loved our stay at this cabin. The home was super clean, with everything you might need for your stay. We visited Grand Marias and Tehquamenon Falls - and never had to worry if we wouldnā€™t have something when we got home. We cooked at home a few times and ate out at some wonderful restaurants.The lake is so peaceful and quiet and the home is very spacious for its size. Beds were comfortable and it was nice to have 3 bedrooms . Weā€™d love to stay again, my son loves to fish and looks like he would have loved it here. It was very central to many attractions in the U.P.

The rental was perfect. Wish we would have done the summer to enjoy the water more. It would be perfect for families with small children and swimming. We did fish out of the kayaks one day. Loved that it was furnished with absolutely everything you could possibly need. Loved that it was simply furnished but tastefully done.

We loved it! Our 3 year old granddaughter was obsessed with the little beach area. It was nice that it was groomed, clean and sandy. There was nothing that wasnā€™t carefully thought of by the host. The home is spotless! We brought items we wonā€™t need to pack next time because they had everything. Access to the dock to park our boat is a big perk. Our kids enjoyed the kayaks too. Weā€™re already planning next years family vacation and returning here.

The house was perfect and very clean with all of the amenities you could need. Communication with Ryan was easy and he was very responsive with any questions we had along the way. The lake was gorgeous - we enjoyed fishing, playing on the beach, and campfires each night.

Nice stay, good central location

House was in a good location. View was beautiful. House was very clean and well stocked. We were disappointed that you could not fish from shore because itā€™s too shallow and we were informed that the pier would be taken down after we had already paid. You canā€™t launch the row boat from the shore either due to it being so shallow. So we werenā€™t able to use the boat either.

Perfect for family lake vacation!

This was the absolute perfect place to stay for our family. The yard was gently sloped to a sandy shore so that the kids (2, 5, 7 years old) were able to easily and safely play in the water. We could even see them playing from the kitchen and living room inside the house. The dock was awesome for bringing our boat. We had a great time fishing and boating. We could not believe how well stocked the house was. They had everything you could possibly need, and more. The downtown area nearby had some nice little shops and great ice cream. We did one day trip to Mackinaw City which was really nice, but mostly, we just hung out at the house and on the lake. We would 100 percent book this place again!
