We all enjoyed the hot tub, the home was perfect for our family, lots of towels, loved the extra touches, chapstick toiletry items, extra blankets, kitchen well stocked. We would definitely come againā€¦.Close enough to Colorado Springs but in the mountains.

Proximity to the town of Green Mountain Falls and nearby hiking trails was great! Cabin was dark with a few lights with non-working bulbs. Food crumbs were found on the kitchen counter, miscellaneous items on the floor (indicating the floors had not been cleaned well). The cabin had a musty smell and the shower curtain was very dirty and smelly. It was better after a deep cleaning in the washing machine. The beds and pillows were super comfortable but the lack of darkening window treatments the room upstairs was especially bright at sunrise. Overall, our family enjoyed our stay and were grateful for an early check-in and easy checkout.

The Lazy Squirrel Lodge was an amazing mountain cabin! It was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate our family of 6, while still having that charming and authentic rustic mountain vibe. The place was very clean, well stocked and had everything we needed for our family to have a great stay. We also loved the large hot tub for late day/evening soaks after our long days of mountain exploring.

Perfection!

Very simple to find and an easy drive for someone not used to driving in the mountains. Cabin was perfect for our 4 person family. We enjoyed the well stocked kitchen but also dined at two of the restaurants in town. Loved morning walks in the quiet neighborhood. The cabin was extremely clean and had everything we needed. Highly recommend as it's close to Cave of the Winds, Garden of the Gods and Manitou Springs activities.

We enjoyed every minute at this cozy but spacious cabin. The location is perfect, it was very well supplied, quiet, and the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view from backyard to front porch.It will be on our books for 2026!

This place is nothing short than amazing. The cabin has everything you need. It's well stocked with things that make you feel at home. The hosts thought of all the little touches to make you feel so welcomed. Coffee on the porch in the morning before heading out to adventure to relaxing in the hot tube at night after the adventure was our week here! This place is secluded without being secluded. All the adventures and shopping you would want to do is not a far drive. I am so happy I found this place for my family to stay!

Cozy Mountain Retreat

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin in GMF. Comfortable and cozy with everything we could have asked for and more. Relaxing location after a day of hiking. Kitchen well stocked and easy for cooking. Loved the big picture window and outdoor spaces for sipping coffee and watching the deer. Loved the outdoor spaces, board games, and hot tub. Would definitely return to this house again!

Wonderful weekend

We stayed at the Lazy Squirrel with our grandchildren for four nights at the end of May. The property was extremely clean and well-stocked with everything from coffee and spices to tub toys for little ones. The location is far enough away to feel like a vacation but close enough to access various attractions within a short drive. Weā€™d definitely stay here again.

Complete Colorado Getaway

From backroads to Americas Highway we were able to experience everything from ice fishing, wildlife, and of course snow skiing from one location!!! Entire family from 9-47 weā€™re made welcome at the Lazy Squirrel.

Thanksgiving dinner

The cabin was wonderful, the only compliment was there was only two parking spaces and both were very small. We drove two bigger vehicles and had family coming over for a meal. In the end we ended up parking our truck down the road from the cabin and it all worked out.

Coziest Cabin Ever!

My family and I absolutely loved our weekend at this cabin. It was extremely clean, had every single thing we needed and was in a great location. The little town was cute and my son fished for trout in the pond. It was close to Colorado Spingarn and Manitou Springs and even had a Walmart nearby! Would love to stay here again!!

A truly wonderful stay!

Spent a long weekend at the Lazy Squirrel. My husband and I were looking for a place in the mountains where we could relax and unwind. We sure found it! The lodge was exceptionally clean and well-appointed. The recreational available in the backyard was super, and we loved the hot tub! Everything about the lodge was so cozy. It was just the two of us, and the lodge sleeps 8. We are planning to return with friends and family for an extended stay at the first opportunity. Do not pass up this wonderful property and hosts!
