RELAX, EXPLORE AND EXPERIENCE NORTH BALI

Walk through the spectacular Sekumpul waterfalls, visit an ancient temple or snorkel among colourful fish and coral around Menjangan Island. The next day you might watch dolphins at sunrise, visit Banjar Hot Springs and explore the Buddhist monastery in the hills.

Back at the villa, Ayu and Sepi can prepare dinner while you swim, enjoy a massage or have a drink overlooking the sea. Here, an active holiday and a relaxing villa stay go perfectly together.


A CARING TEAM AND WONDERFUL FOOD

Ayu and Sepi look after the villa and can prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner according to your preferences. They cook Balinese and Western dishes using fresh local ingredients. Their cooking service is included during normal working hours; you pay only for the groceries. Guests regularly say that dining at the villa was one of the highlights of their holiday.

The villa manager is always available when you need assistance. Our gardener maintains the garden and pool, while security staff are present from evening until early morning.

Our trusted driver and guide can collect you from the airport and take you on private excursions throughout Bali. He knows the area, helps plan your days and suggests special places beyond the standard tourist routes. Transport, transfers and excursions are optional and charged separately.

You will also have personal contact with owner Karin before arrival. She will help you prepare for your stay.


THE VILLA

Villa Bima Sena is spacious, comfortable and entirely on one level. It offers:

• One bedroom with two single beds

• Three bathrooms and an additional guest toilet
• Spacious living and dining areas

The villa comfortably accommodates six guests. Two extra beds allow a maximum of eight. Additional charges apply when more than four guests aged two or over are staying.

For stays of seven nights or longer, a complimentary welcome dinner and breakfast are included.


OUTDOOR LIVING BESIDE THE SEA

Start your morning with coffee on the covered terrace. Swim in your private pool, relax beneath a parasol or enjoy the ocean breeze from the traditional Balinese bale beside the beach.

In the evening, dine overlooking the water while the lights of local fishing boats appear on the horizon. The villa and garden are private; the team visits for cooking, housekeeping, gardening, pool maintenance and security.

DOLPHINS FROM THE NORTH BALI COAST

A private sunrise dolphin trip can be arranged with a local fisherman. Depending on the weather and sea conditions, the boat can depart from the beach in front of or close to the villa. This means you do not have to drive to busy central Lovina very early in the morning.

South Bali is known for beach clubs, shopping, nightlife and busy tourist centres. North Bali offers waterfalls, mountain lakes, temples, coral reefs, traditional villages and beautiful green landscapes, as well as welcoming restaurants, shops and places to enjoy an evening out.

Most guests choose Villa Bima Sena because they genuinely want to discover the north without spending their holiday surrounded by crowds. You can enjoy active days exploring Bali whenever you wish and return to a peaceful beachfront villa where everything is taken care of.

A relaxing day at the villa is also wonderful and sometimes one relaxing day easily becomes two.

Many guests spend most or all of their Bali holiday here. Others include North Bali in a longer journey through Bali or Indonesia. It is a beautiful place to combine adventure, culture, comfort and relaxation.


TRAVELLING TO NORTH BALI

Villa Bima Sena is approximately 2.5 to 3.5 hours from Bali’s international airport, depending on traffic. Leaving busy South Bali can take time, but the roads become quieter as the landscape changes to mountains, lakes, rice fields and villages.

The villa is approximately one hour from the ferry port for Java, making it a convenient stop for guests combining Bali and Java, or arrive in Java.

During the day, the transfer can become your first private excursion, with optional stops at Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, Handara Gate, viewpoints, markets or waterfalls. The route can be adapted to your interests.

For evening arrivals, your driver ( english speaking) can collect you and drive directly to the villa. Dinner and breakfast for the following morning can be arranged. After that, you can discuss your preferred meals directly with Ayu and Sepi.


NORTH BALI DURING THE RAINY SEASON

North Bali generally receives less rainfall than many parts of South and Central Bali because the mountains often hold much of the cloud. Rain on the north coast frequently arrives as a tropical shower late in the afternoon or evening.

Weather can never be guaranteed, but during the rainy season the landscape is intensely green, the rice fields are beautiful and the waterfalls are particularly impressive. There are usually plenty of dry periods for excursions and swimming.

Personally, the rainy season is my favourite time to visit Bali.


MASSAGES AND RELAXATION

After an active day, massages can be arranged in the villa or garden. Manicures, pedicures and other beauty treatments may also be available. A fitness studio is located in the nearby village.


GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE BOOKING

Villa Bima Sena lies in a peaceful coastal village approximately 20 minutes west of central Lovina. It is ideal for guests who want to explore North and Central Bali and return each day to their own beachfront villa.

If you want nightlife and beach clubs within walking distance, South Bali may suit you better. If you want nature, culture, activities, personal service and an authentic side of Bali, Villa Bima Sena is well worth the journey.

Meals are prepared on request; groceries and drinks are paid for separately. Transfers, transport, excursions, treatments, electricity and other optional services are not included unless stated in your booking.

The beach is natural and public, so local fishermen and residents may occasionally walk along the shoreline.
