Your reservation was made through VRBO, which, like many platforms, integrates with our direct booking system and redirects guests to our website to complete their registration. This is a common and secure process, and we haven’t had issues with it before. In this case, it seems that step caused some confusion. Our communication system relies on the phone number provided during registration. Since the number entered was not your own, we were unable to reach you directly with check-in info or assist with your concerns during your stay. We do have owners on-site who can quickly help with any issue—when contacted as instructed. As for the property, Sunrise Point is a resort with shared guest amenities, including the lakeside pool. It is not located in anyone’s backyard, and this is made clear in our listing. Guests who take a moment to view the full listing images and details typically find that everything is clearly outlined before arrival. While we wish your visit had gone differently, we also understand that not every guest is a fit for every property.
