This was a wonderful property. Great location on a canel near Sombrero Beach. Beautifully appointed with three great bedrooms and lots of kitchen and living room space. Marathon is an excellent Keys location with some great waterfront restaurants and a relatively short drive to Key West. Our host could not have been more accommodating and helped make our stay a memorable one. We plan to be back again. Paul

Great place to gather family and friends and very well stocked with evertything you need to have a great beach vacation: beach towels, chairs, coolers, bait freezer, ice maker, extra drink fridge, fishing nets, poles, kayaks, etc. The kitchen was also really well stocked with all the pots and pans necessary even to prepare a large Thanksgiving meal. You do need to provide your own salt, pepper, sugar, cooking oil, etc. as all food/pantry items are removed after cleaning, probably to avoid attracting pests. You also need to provide your own shampoo, body soap etc. but there was plenty of hot water and towels. The place is very centrally located in Marathon, and just one block off Hwy. 1 so there was some road noise when we sat outside on the porch but we didn't hear it at all inside the unit. We saw a manatee off the dock, took the kayaks out for a sunset paddle, and rode the bikes the two miles to Sombrero Beach. We would definitely stay again next time we are in the Keys!

Our stay was great, extremely comfortable with lots of amenities. A glitch that was handled well, Danielle is an outstanding host. We docked our pontoon boat right by the pool, fish from the dock. couldn’t have been better. Even more space than the photos show, though we were happy to be the only ones there.Everyone saw the manatees but me! Should we return, we wouldn’t look anywhere else.

The house was better than the pictures that are posted. I had a family of 7 and we stayed for a week. I had my grandson who is8months and then my 8 and 9 yr old daughters, a 22,21,19and myself. There was plenty of room for us all to move around comfortably and the beds were very comfortable. The place was cleaned to perfection inside and out. And although the beaches are not the best in the keys all of the extra toys that they have for you makes up for that tenfold. Tbh the best days we had were when we stayed in. The owners were very helpful and kind and wanted nothing more than for us to enjoy our vacation. They offered extras for the baby and sent us locations of many places that we did enjoy. Overall our stay was a 10/10 we would definitely do it again!

All you need

We loved that we had access to a fully equipped living space that also had every amenity anyone could ask for. The listing is 100% accurate. We even fished off the dock and caught enough fish to keep us entertained and the manatees were adorable.

A slice of paradise

The duplex is quietly situated on a calm canal that attracts manatees and iguanas alike! The kids had everything they could want and more, and we had the best time. Danielle had great preparations for us inside and out, from coffee and bottled water, to life jackets and an ice machine for the fishermen! We had several texts back and forth with rapid reply for all of our needs and questions. Staying here was a perfect choice for location - we were out of the traffic belt, but very close to anything and easily able to get out on Rt 1. The advice of the places to go and things to do were great and we enjoyed a fish pedicure at Crane Point, a very active stingray encounter at Aquarium Encounters and tons of other fun times. The house was great with a very nice AC unit, the very clean and comfy showers - with robes and extra beach towels for all of us! There was no shortage of blankets and pillows or chairs on the front and back patio for each unity. This really was a perfect stay for us and I would love to go back and stay again. We left during the nerve wracking fires that shutdown Rt 1 intermittently and Danielle was helpful in trying to get out and back home without being stranded in traffic. I can't say enough to thank you for this priceless vacation time with my family.

Great Location

Loved this place, it was very relaxing! A great place to chill and relax. We saw manatee’s and iguana’s and even learned how to paddle board! The location is amazing, 5 min from the beach and in the middle of the keys. Will definitely stay again! Danielle is a great host and quickly responds to messages. She provided us with a ton of activities to look into and definitely knows the area.

Summer 2024

We rented Luna Bay Breeze for a week, a family of 8. Plenty of room for veryone, comfortable beds, and stocked with anything and everything! Danielle was great, attentive, and assured our stay was perfect. The access to the Atlantic was a little further out than we had thought it to be, but provided a nice relaxing boat ride through the harbor and mangroves. We would highly recommend Luna Bay Breeze and will more thank likely stay again next year!

Relaxing stay with lots of amenities

We are a family of 6 and had a wonderful stay over spring break. The house was fully stocked and had a lot of amenities (kayaks, bikes, pool, fishing rods, beach umbrellas & chairs, beach towels, grills, ice machines, dock, floating dock, etc.). The coffee bar was a nice touch with k-cups, creamer, and bottled water. We played connect 4, jenga, Bingo, cards, cornhole, etc. outside. The amenities are shared with the other rental tenant (upstairs) but both groups were nice and we had no issues. The owner was very good with communication before and during our stay and texted multiple times.

Awesome amenities and owner interactions

The property equipment and facilities are top notch. Everything was clean and in good working order. The owner was exceptionally helpful and went way beyond the norm. The kitchen had every conceivable gadget you could want and was well stocked. The only thing we needed to bring were some spices! It is located right in the heart of Marathon, close to all activities. We highly recommend this property!

I dont even know where to start with this trip. This was certainly not our first time to the keys, but it was absolutely the most adventurous! Our first week, however was cold and rainy. We were so very thankful for the space, comfort, and amenities (games, streaming, internet) that were inside the property. I dont want to forget to mention that is was by far the cleanest place we have stayed ANYWHERE. We stayed comfortable and entertained through the unexpected weather. Danielle was very informative of things to see and do. There were quite a few informational flyers and brochures in the apartment. We swam with dolphins! Took our boat out and snorkeled the reefs, I swam with a sea turtle at the reef!! Visited the turtle hospital and the following day we partook in the release of 4 rehabilitated sea turtles! We found an awesome little place called Bongos, where we had delicious lunch and drank in the beer garden while swinging in hammocks. The teen daughter learned to wakeboard there as well. Porkys has great food and putt putt golf. Castaways has a fantastic breakfast! Ask for Anne! So much to sayand so little space to say it. We eneded up staying an extra day because we were just not ready to leave. On our last day there we were visited by a manatee and her baby and, just when i thought it couldnt get an better, a second adult manatee joined along with ANOTHER baby manatee!!! Righ in our canal! It was amazing. They stayed for hours! Like i said,this trip was just perfect

Super Clean

Cleanliness is always a huge concern with VRBO rentals and this place was spotless. Kitchen had every utensil that you would expect at home. Plenty of room for everyone to relax and do there own thing when we were not exploring the Keys. Love the location of Marathon 1 hour to Key West and 1 hour and 15 minutes to Key Largo. Lots of restaurants, very casual and great food. The owner Danielle available throughout our stay and we relied on her more than normal for recommendations due to weather that was not beach friendly. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay there again. Thanks again for sharing your home with our family.

Great Location And Amenities

Location is right off US1 and directly on a canal. Couple blocks to shops and grocery stores and a nice bike ride (if you wanted!) to Sombrero beach. This property has tons of games, bikes, kayaks, lounge chairs and a great overall outdoor space. Pool is big enough for a family but could be a bit much if all duplex participants wanted to swim at the same time. Overall we would highly recommend this and would stay again.

Beautiful location

We had an amazing stay at this property! It was peaceful, clean and the property managers made the stay easy and any questions we had were answered quickly. Everything we needed was there and in good working order. We used the grill, bikes and the kayaks, which were a great added bonus. There are tons of games if you are looking for family fun and lots of items we never got to, including the pool! It was beautiful, we just never had enough time to get in! We would definitely stay again! Thank you for the great get away! There was other tenants in the upstairs apartment and they were very pleasant and respectful of privacy as well.

Great place for a family vacation

We stayed here with our five kids for about 11 days. The pool was a great bonus for the kids and it is close to multiple beaches and things to do. We would definitely stay here again.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION !!!
We love having a canal in the back yard, and a 5 minute drive (2.3 miles) to white sand Sombrero beach, Proximity to grocery stores, shops, restaurants, attractions.
Short boat ride to some the most amazing crystal clear waters of places like Coffins Patch, Bahia Honda, Sombrero light house. It's location is great and has access to the ocean or gulf for fishing and having fun. The property has beautiful sunrise and sunset views.

Marathon is the best Island in the Keys in our opinion as it is centrally located and you can go North or South to just about ANY point of interest in the entire Florida Keys within a 10-60 min drive and you'll come to find out there is so much to right in Marathon or on the immediate keys surrounding us.
