Bring your boat to this 3 bedroom / 3 bath recently updated home with 50 ft of deep water dockage and a custom HEATED swimming pool (small pool is not heated). House will comfortably sleep 8 with 1 king bed, 2 queens and two sleeper sofas. Each bedroom has it's own private attached bathroom. You will love waking up or relaxing on the water as the only thing that separates the house from the water is the dock. Master suite has been completely updated with new tile, finishes and standing tub. Boot Key harbor is only 3 houses down the canal. The home is very peaceful and has very private tropical spa like pool in the front with a beautiful flagstone wall. You will instantly feel on vacation as you sit by the pool, kayak or paddle board in the harbor, fish in the canal, go for a bike ride, or take the short 3.5 mile drive to Sombrero beach. We are also minutes from 7 mile bridge if you want to visit Bahia Honda park or take the short 45-50 minute drive to Key West. Sorry no RV parking but plenty of space for a trailer, truck and a mini-van. There are no bridges and no limits to open water based on low tide. Added bonus we have never had a build up of sea grass anywhere near the house since 2011!

Please call or e-mail me if you have additional questions. (I usually respond within the hour). Please notice the water outside of the sliding glass doors in both the family room and the bedroom. You are literally right on the water! We catch jacks, mangrove snappers, chubs, barracudas and grunts off the dock for a quick lunch and the pelicans and herons always join you when you are cleaning fish on the fish cleaning station. There is a fishing kayak, a ocean kayak, a 2 man ocean kayak, 2 paddle boards and 4 bicycles included with the rental. The heated spa like pool located in the front of the house is awesome with a bench running the length of it and a separate smaller pool that is great if you want to get away from the splashing kids. All new furniture, AC unit downstairs.

Saturday to Saturday rentals only from January - August. Please email me if you are looking for alternative dates in September through December.

The house was beautiful, clean and in great condition. It was very well stocked, he thought of everything - kitchen appliances and accessories, kayaks, bikes, toys, games, there was always something to do. David is informative about how things worked in the house and what to do in the area, he was very responsive to any questions or needs. We had the best time and hope to come back again!

Basic home essentials are non-existent. Be prepared to go buy toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets, dishwasher detergent, garbage bags. The entire place needs some TLC. There was junk stuffed in drawers and cabinets throughout the place. Front door key pad would not lock. Ice maker did not work.

This was a very spacious home. The pool and multiple seating areas gave us a lot of variety to enjoy the outdoors. It was clean and comfortable. Nice place for multiple guests/couples with everyone having their own en-suite bathroom.

We enjoyed the stay. The property was in a great location. The final cleaning wasn’t done until after we checked in and the A/C had a hard time keeping up in the heat of the day. We were out on the boat most days so this wasn’t a big deal but the house had everything we needed. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Had a great time, but was disappointed with the condition of the property. The bathrooms were obviously remodeled within the last few years. All were very nice. The rest of the house is in desperate need of some attention and cleaning. The furniture was very dirty and stained, The large cream colored sofa in the main living room was dirty and several cushions had large holes in them. We found the mattresses in all of the bedrooms to be very uncomfortable. We removed our sheets to wash them and all of the pillows were yellowed and stained. One pillow was so dirty, we washed it in the washing machine during our stay.Many of the windows were missing blinds. The brackets were attached to the wall, but the actual blinds were missing. Sliding doors that backed up to the canal had no curtains or blinds on them. We had family members that slept on the sofa bed in the room. They had ZERO privacy. During the afternoon when the sun was at its hottest, the temperature in the room became unbearable because of the direct sunlight.The pool and filter area was in poor condition. There were several broken tiles all around the pool. The lights inside the pool were not functioning. The pool caretaker came twice during our stay and only cleaned the bottom of the pool once. The skimmer on the filtration system was not working, so the top of the water had insects and dirt floating on top. There was no mesh skimmer on the property for us to clean it ourselves.

A Great Week

Our trip is exclusively a fishing trip and David’s property worked out great for us. Three couples in the group and three bedrooms, each with their own bathroom was perfect.

Very good for price. Had everything we needed. Owner was responsive, however the floating dock came loose on one side no one ever showed up to fix. Made it hard to put in Kayaks and paddle boards. Loved the Manatees!

Great place

The property was nice. Loved being on the water. Plenty of room for 3 couples. Enjoyed seeing the manatees in the water a few days. Only complaint was lack of essentials like garbage bags and toliet paper. We had 2 garbage bags for a week and 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom.

Family trip

This was a sibling trip, all adults. It was perfect for us because there are two living areas so if you want space it available. The canal in back was fun. We watched manatee several days. We would rent this again.

Excellent relaxating retreat from the cold

We enjoyed the private pool most of our trip. The highlight for me was the manatees that were in the channel every day! The beds are comfortable, the water pressure good, the locale was ideal and the roosters we the ideal alarm clock. We used the 2 person kayak most days. Dave responded any time we had a question.

Very Nice

Beautiful 3 bedroom, 3 bath house. 2 living rooms, full kitchen, dinning room, inground pool with easy access canal docking for boat. Owner put some thought into this place as a rental. Kyaks, paddle boards and bikes to use. Super quiet at night and the neighbors are really decent.

New Years trip

This place was amazing! Enjoyed our entire week! Marathon gives you many options for restaurants and grocery stores. Short drive(about an hour) for day trip to Key West! We enjoyed morning coffee on back dock, pool time early afternoon and back to the dock for late afternoons! Owner was super helpful with questions we had!

Good stay, bad winds for fishing

Stayed with a group of older guys for fishing. David was very responsive to the few questions we had. Best of all, he delayed the cleaners coming in, so we could leave at our leisure on Saturday which was greatly appreciated. Dock had everything needed, fishing cleaning table; water, even a little float to launch provided kayaks. Kitchen had everything needed. Brand new grill outside. Beds were comfortable, plenty of seating in various places throughout the house. The only negative was 20+ winds all week. So we were forced to relax more, which was okay for some of us. Thanks David, hope to rent there again.

Yes that is me with Jimmy Buffett in Chicago! We live a very busy life with 3 kids and a lot of working. There is no better place to enjoy our down time than in the Keys. We searched for the right house for nearly 2 years and we always came back to this house.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

The pool and the dock are fantastic. You can walk to Cuba coffee, Overseas, FL Keys Steak and Lobster House, Keys Fisheries and many of our other favorite places. Your boat can be parked a few feet from you at the house and it can be up to 45 feet long. It is one of the few places where you can kayak to bars and restaurants as well. Plus if you want to paddleboard or kayak, you have more than just the canal. You have all of Boot Key harbor, Sister Creek, the mangrove creeks in Boot Key and 1.5 miles to Sombrero Beach and I believe 7 miles around Boot Key in the shallows. It is truly unmatched for kayaking.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

We love the water. From sitting on the dock, snorkeling on the reefs, fishing, kayaking or just sitting at the pool, we have everything we need here. Unmatched for Kayaking, when the Atlantic is rough, you can easily get to the Gulf. You are 5 miles from Sombrero reef so you have some of the best snorkeling in the Keys and when you are not out and about, you have sun and shade on the property at all times so you can enjoy being outdoors all the time. With some luck and chum, you can even catch your limit on snappers off the dock. The entire property was given a face lift post Irma and looks amazing. The upstairs was painted and has new tile in 2023. Nothing is dated in this home. Large pool is always heated (small pool is not). The furniture, bikes, kayaks and SUPs (tried inflatables this time) are replaced regularly to keep everything fresh.
