Great place for active boys to explore!

My 3 boys and husband had the very best time exploring the cedar point area for crabs and critters. This is such a gem and will be a core memory for my family.

Great little spot with access to the gulf

This property was great and served it's purpose for my family of four to go scalloping with our boat for an extended weekend. Host was awesome and quickly responded to all of our questions. The place is bigger than a camper, but isn't as big as a small mobile home. Definitely worth the book if you want to hang out in the water. I got in and out with my 25' Contender on low tide.

Just What We Needed

Booked this house for the Nauti-Girls fishing tournament and a weekend away to unwind. The house was so cute and comfortable. We loved being right on the water where we were able to dock our boat right at the house which was awesome. Would definitely love to stay again.

Beautiful, quiet and peaceful.

We had a wonderful stay. The boat access was perfect. We found of scallops and other drum sea life. Water was crystal clear and beautiful. Mike was easy to communicate with and very kind. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing location

Mike is a great host. The place is exactly as advertised. We had no issues with it being too hot in any room. The house has everything you need and was very clean. Loved having the dock at the back door and just minutes from the gulf. We will definitely be back.

Amazing vacation

Everything was perfect! The kids had fun catching crabs off the dock, we limited in scallops everyday, and fishing was great. Nothing could have made our stay better except more days. Already went to book next year but it’s rented the week we wanted to come

Great week scalloping and fishing

Honestly we were there for the gulf waters. We just needed a place to sleep and cook. This is a great house that has all you need with a friendly and helpful host... and an ice machine! This is our third time staying in this house and probably won't be our last.

Hometown Getaway

We were celebrating my daughters Quinceanera and had friends coming from out of the country and from across the country so wee needed a place to stay that could house everyone. We wanted to show them a part of our hometown that not many outsiders know about so that’s why we decided to stay at the beach. This house did not disappoint you have access to an ice machine, dock, screened in porch out front, outside seating in the back, not too far from grassy, close to Keaton beach, Steinhatchee, great place to stay during scalloping season. It’s just a perfect place all around

LOVED THE LOCATION AND HOUSE.

Good morning. The house was fine but was disappointed in the cleanliness. My wife vacuumed and wiped the appliances down when we got there. I know the place is pet friendly but there was dog hair everywhere on the couches and appliances. Talking to one of the neighbors he said that the cleaning lady was there 5 mins and left. If it was my house I would want to know....otherwise satisfied with the house.

Great Host, excellent Gulf access.

Great little beach house. Great host. We had an electrical problem that did not affect the main house, nevertheless the host had an electrician respond on a Saturday and fix the issue. That type of response was appreciated. We had a little hiccup getting inside as the key box code had been changed. Going through the emails and we found a new one had indeed been sent. The residence was adequate for our needs and clean. The A/C units worked hard keeping the home cool but the many fans helped. The only drawback was the spiral staircase. One of the family is nearly 70 and thankfully in good shape but the stairs did a number on her knees. If you can handle a little extra exercise after a long day of Gulf swimming, you'll be okay. Overall, we were happy with the rental.

Disappointed and feel I deserve a credit

No Tv/internet- almost every blind in house was broken- microwave door damaged- no propane in grill and the inside looked like it had never been clean-AC downstairs stayed it was 62 degrees it was not. Upstairs tv worked but batteries dead in remote. I took pictures of everything. Also, a lot of roaches. I understand it’s Fla and the house is on the water, but owner needs to spray. I feel not having TV or internet in 2022 is a big minus especially with kids and electronics.

Perfect Getaway

This was the perfect spot for a quick getaway scalloping trip. The location to the ocean was great and having the boat dock was ideal. No need to launch the boat everyday. We had no issue with the tides or the canal like some other people said. We have a 21ft center console and the driveway had plenty of space for our Suburban and trailer plus an extra vehicle or two if needed. The house setup was nice. There is a bathroom (shower only) on the main floor as well as a pull out couch for any family member that can't handle the stairs daily. Upstairs they have a master bedroom with bathroom attached (tub/shower combo) and a second bedroom with 2 twin beds and a full bed in a loft. The A/C unit downstairs was a little finicky and wasn't cooling the living area completely, but it was also 100+ degrees outside in early July so we aren't completely surprised it was having trouble. The upstairs units will freeze you out of the bedrooms if you set them low enough. ;) The kitchen was stocked with plenty of pots/pans and dishes plus they had a few staples (salt/pepper/olive oil/coffee) available. The ice maker in the fridge was not working but they have the ice maker in the boat house, so we would just get ice from there. I would recommend if you have one available to bring a portable fan or two. We set one up downstairs when we were in the kitchen and then moved it to the guest bedroom upstairs at night.

Love it easy getting out. Very convenient. We enjoy and love Keaton Beach.

Did not have any problems this time. But last time I did with getting in the house. but when I finally got in touch with the owner He was nice, He said, that he had sent the new code but I didn’t receive it and a storm was coming and we could not get in the house, after that it was smooth sailing. Love the house.

Cool little place

Great place to stay. All the bedrooms are on 2nd floor. Everything you need for fishing, scalloping, family trips, etc. is here. We had 2 families with a blow up mattress on first floor, 8 people total. For the boat owners: the floating dock is great, plenty of water on low tide, enough water to come and go as we please on a 1.1 low (late July). There is a hose for boat washdown close to the floating dock, as well as an outlet in the shed for battery recharge with a 50’ drop cord. There also a hose in the front side of house for boat washdown if needed. Plenty of trailer parking in front, enough to turn around on the lot swinging wide around the tree (20’6” boat). One awesome thing is a large ice machine in the boat house.

Great Property

This little cabin in Keaton Beach is one of the best values I’ve come across on VRBO in its price range. I only have a family of three, but I imagine it could easily accommodate a few more people. Keaton Beach is not your typical Florida beach, but you’re surrounded by the Gulf and beautiful Old Florida marsh views. Good restaurants in nearby Steinhatchee and I highly recommend doing a fishing charter for giant redfish. If forced to come up with one recommendation for this property, I’d suggest upgrading the outdoor chairs on the upstairs balcony with some that are a little newer and sturdier, but that’s the only thing I can think of. Would highly recommend!

We would love to stay here again !

Upon arrival our first impression of the house was laid back, cozy and clean. We loved the atmosphere. Our kids 16,10,9,3 all had plenty of room & activities to keep them busy. They did kayaing in the canal and made a fire for smores. We did bring our 21 foot boat with us and docked it in the canal which was very convientent. We unloaded the boat at the public ramp and the husband brought it around to the house and docked. Be careful with the tides though the water gets pretty low in the canal during low tide. When husband went to charge the boat and couldnt due to the extension cord that was supposed to be there was missing.. the owner acted very quickly and sent out a extension cord. That was very nice of him to do that..and to act so quickly. If we had to really complain about anything.... it would have to be the toilets. They did seem to be a little loose when getting up from them they would rock back, but no biggie just need a little tlc and the wifi was kind of slow but it worked. All around we loved the place and would be more than happy to stay again.

EXCELLENT LOCATION

Stairs a little narrow but we made it. Loved the boat dock, we put the boat in and didn't have to take out until we was ready to leave.
