Relaxing stay

This house is beautifully located and has every amenity. The deck is gorgeous with a great hot tub. There were only 2 of us but the property is set up so that 4 people could easily enjoy privacy. Cozy home like feeling. I highly recommend this property

lucky

Rental manager had not left keys in the locked after hours box and did not respond on the emergency number they left until 3 hours after we left message. Thankfully, a very nice housekeeper who just happened to be at the office was able to get into office and get out keys. Otherwise we would have been waiting for hours after driving for seven hours to reach Sea Ranch.

Thank you for your review. Beach Rentals was at fault and did not have your packet ready in our outside lockbox. We are sorry this mistake happened and have put a new procedure in place so this will not happen again. Beach Rentals Manager

Fine, but dated

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was fine. It was warm and the kitchen was well appointed for all we needed to cook nice meals. The hot tub was hot. The sunset view was spectacular. But everything in the house needs an update. The furniture is old and not well arranged for using the space, the bathrooms and kitchen are low end 1990s, lighting was terrible. It’s a great house, but my favorite game of “what would you change if this was your house” was in overdrive. For the price, I expected better. The location was perfect for our needs (my mom lives very close, we wanted young kids to be able to walk between houses on their own).

Forest Relaxation with Wide Ocean Views

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I chose Second Wind because of the forest experience while having an ocean view. We invited my husband's parents who took the twin beds (that was combined for a King size bed). While we had the Queen bed that was in the loft. It does get hotter in the loft at night. The hot tub was the best out of all the different houses we've stayed at with Sea Ranch. The kitchen was pleasantly fully stocked. Just bring ground coffee or your own coffee grinder. As someone who is always cold - there was so much blankets and pillows. The views from this house was 100% worth with the window sill seating. Outside there was plenty of patio furniture with comfortable seating. 10/10 would stay here again!

Third trip to Second Wind

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed her now 3 times so that should tell you a lot about the home, the location and I always use Beach Rentals. I don't like doing the VRBO thing.

Second Wind Review

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I enjoyed our 5 night stay at Second Wind. The house was nice and well equipped. The view of the ocean was fantastic! We had only two complaints....the DVD player didn't work in the living room. We had brought with us a bunch of videos to watch while there, but weren't able to. Also, the upstairs bathroom tub would not drain. We were standing in water up to our ankles when we showered! We think the drain needs not just Drano, but a snake run down it to clear it. Otherwise, everything was great!

Oceanview house in the redwoods

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed at Second Wind twice. It's in a perfect location, surrounded on three sides by redwoods, with a whitewater view of the vast ocean on the fourth. The house is cozy with a nice deck and hot tub. Appliances work well, and the house is well set up with cookware and furniture. The window nooks are cozy spots for reading. It's a beautiful, relaxing place to stay.

Great view, but...

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: No good music system, poor small TVs, slanted yard difficult to walk, overall a very small cramped space. Kitchen well equipped, grill outside rusty and filthy, not usable.

Thank you for your review of Second Wind. The owner has music through her Direct TV as well as there is a CD player and a few CD's. Renters are welcome to bring their own CD;s. She also has an iPod docking station available. Over the holidays 2 new TV's were added to the home. The BBQ now has new grills as well. Beach Rentals Management and Homeowner

Another Sea Ranch retreat!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Having been to Sea Ranch many times over the past 35 years I continue to be amazed at my experiences there! This was a one week solo retreat and it was PERFECT! The house was in the best location and size for my needs. I will be going back here again. The Redwood forest hiking trails were amazing and of course spending time on all the different beaches, hiking the bluff trail was so enrichening. I love Sea Ranch and the Beach Rental folks are fantastic. I prefer using the local, smaller agencies as they are more familiar and do a great job for the renters!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Excellent location and view of ocean through trees. Very clean and complete cooking facilities. Furniture could use updating (couch is like sitting on a 2x4) and living area small. Most needed- LED lighting to brighten the interior.

Ocean view home nestled in the redwoods

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Second Wind proved to be a comfortable house in a perfect location...surrounded on three sides by redwoods with a whitewater ocean view to the southwest. The house was spacious and well equipped, with daybeds in the living room windows, three decks for enjoying the outdoors, and a well functioning hot tub. It's centrally located, only a couple minutes from hiking trails in the redwoods and along the shoreline. For summer visits, it's also sheltered from the prevailing northwest wind.

Another Sea Ranch retreat!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A week of quiet solitude and mindfulness! I can't be in a better place as Sea Ranch is very special to me. It has been discovered though so for me it has become a tad bit depressing. I have been coming to Sea Ranch for over 35 years and it never gets old. I'll keep coming back until my final transition. Love this house as well.
