Escape to the Lake - Waterfront bungalow w firepit & amazing views

Settled right on the shores of Cedar Creek Lake, this 3-bed, 2-bath relaxing family home is an ideal Texas retreat. Take in the sweeping views of the lake from the spacious 3- level deck. Enjoy kayaks, fishing, and swimming from our backyard lake access or just spend some needed time connecting with your family. Gather in our modern kitchen, play the many indoor and outdoor games or just enjoy the day in wistful hammocks or tree swings. We are excited to host your lake adventure.

Our home was recently completely remodeled and you will have access to the entire home. Our large backyard provides access to the lake with a kayak launch/lake ladder. You will enjoy the large back deck with plenty of lounge areas. There are three bedrooms; two with queen beds and a bunkroom. The bunkroom has four full sized beds that are extra long and designed for adult or children.

The house is equipped with everything you need in the kitchen for great cooking indoors or out. Inside we have a cozy woodburning fireplace and slider patio doors that open completely to provide indoor outdoor living. If you prefer to grill or smoke that awesome Texas brisket, we have you covered with combo grill/smoker with a gas grill on one side and a full wood/charcoal smoker on the other. We have a full set of BBQ tools available.

Our backyard provides a firepit with five Adirondack chairs and multiple yard games including giant Jenga, giant connect 4, a football, soccer, and badminton set. We also have two tree swings.

Parking is available in the driveway, but please limit it to four vehicles.

Boats: We not nor currently have a boathouse or pier. The public boat launch is within few miles of the house. If you bring a boat you are welcome to tie up to our seawall in the backyard, but we request that your boat be trailered when not in use (evenings) to protect our seawall from any damage.

The home is located within a short drive to the main street in Gun Barrel City which provides quick access to restaurants, Starbucks, a nearby state park, and a family fun park.

The hosts were amazing!! They thought of everything!! Mark was quick to reply to any questions we had, he provided information for all restaurants and activities in the area, and even warned us about road closings for the parade. Best VRBO on Cedar Creek! Staying in this home is like going to a friend’s lake house. It is immaculate! It is so well stocked! It is gorgeous and decorated to provide a calm atmosphere! My husband and book last minute for a getaway for our 30th. This home is super special and the pics accurately represent the home; however you will find it even better than you imagined. The kayaks, the books, the games, the speakers, the extras are amazing! We loved it!

Great host. Very accommodating and communicative before during and after our stay. Property was beautiful with a ton of stuff to enjoy. Lake view is amazing. Would definitely recommend to others staying in the area.

Wonderful Lakehouse Stay at Cedar Creek Lake!

We loved our stay at this charming, beautifully maintained house with gorgeous unobstructed lakefront views! As soon as we arrived, we could tell this was a much-loved home for the owners who have thoughtfully decorated and appointed everything! Mark was incredibly communicative and helpful throughout our visit. We are so grateful we got experience our family getaway at this special spot! Thank you so much for a wonderful trip!

Christmas with our Texas family

Amazing!!! I can not say enough good things about this home and the hosts! We bring my mom here from Oklahoma the first weekend of December every year to celebrate Christmas with our Aunt and cousins. The hosts were the most gracious hosts I've ever had. The house was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated for Christmas. The beds were so comfortable and the cozy fireplace was perfect for the rainy weather we had.We had everything we needed and things we didn't realize we needed! Mark,the host, made sure we were comfortable and was available our entire stay. If you are wanting to stay on the lake, this is my #1 recommendation. This is the area where my mom grew up, so we have been making trips here for awhile.We always choose homes around the lake. This home is by far our favorite and we want to return again soon!

Waterfront sunset paradise!!

The property was exactly the lakefront getaway that we were hoping to find and it was perfect for our family/friends weekend (2 adults and 5 older teens)… the house is adorable and the waterfront location is incredible! My husband and I never missed a sunset on the water from the adorable 3 level deck. The bunk room was awesome with a closet FULL of games and activities, and large, full size beds… plus each bunk had its own light and built in nook and charger outlet for phones and belongings. The other bedrooms were quite nice too, especially the very spacious master… The house and grounds are perfectly designed and well-stocked with anything you could possibly need like sunscreen, aloe, and bug spray as well as beach towels and a S’Mores kit to enjoy during the stay! The owner Mark was SO easy to work with and readily available to help if needed, and even mailed me back an item that I had left in the lovely master bath. There were SO many activities that the kids could enjoy- kayaks, paddle board, lily pad for floating, two super FUN tree swings, corn hole, fire pit…. This house has EVERYTHING! We had a hard time choosing between the top 3 houses we were looking at, but we were thrilled that we chose Blue Daze! It was the PERFECT house for our fun filled long weekend at the lake! Highly recommend!

Great little lake getaway

We had a great time here! The house is spotless, fully equipped and very cute. They’ve thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and fun. The owners are very communicative and kind. The outdoor space is wonderful for families. The area is quiet and peaceful. We will definitely visit again!

Like a piece of heaven!

This is our first VRBO experience and: wow! We were so impressed. This property is beautifully decorated, outfitted with top-of-the-line items throughout. From a complete silverware set 👍🏻, high-quality cooking equipment, amazing lake views, nice linens and towels in all beds, great terrace, ample backyard for games, fireplace and fire pit, etc. The owners are very helpful and gave great recommendations in the area (it was our first time there). We certainly want to come back!! Thank you for helping us create beautiful family memories.

Perfect Lake Getaway

This property is a gem. Everything with this stay exceeded our expectations. House was perfect and views of the lake are impeccable. We really enjoyed waking up and having a coffee by the water. We went to a local winery in the evening and caught an Eagles tribute band. One evening we stayed in and enjoyed the sunset by the campfire. Highly recommend. Owner is friendly and extremely easy to coordinate and accommodate.

Wonderful Weekend

I've been visiting Cedar Creek for over 20 years...and have stayed in mansions...and shacks. But, the Bungalow was in the "Goldilocks Zone"...it was Just Right! What a beautiful property! ...well appointed...beautifully decorated and furnished...comfortable and gorgeours views. I definitely have a new "Go To" destination at the lake. Thanks, Mark for a wonderful weekend.

Relaxing escape!

Beautiful lakefront home with a perfect location and amenities for the cook, nature enthusiast, kayaker or reader! Amazing selection of books and games to enjoy inside or outside. One of the best rentals we’ve had the pleasure of staying in. Excellent communications from the owner.

Family Reunited

We absolutely loved our stay! There was every amenity that one could think of at our disposal. Mark and Virginia were very accommodating and really thought of all the details to make our family get together comfortable and relaxing. We only wish we had had more time to enjoy the lake! Fantastic house for weekend getaway

Very nicely designed home with perfect accommodations for a family of 4. Once they get the boat dock added in, this home will be even more incredible. Owner Mark was responsive and there for a personal walk through and introduction to the home. We will consider again for future stays

Great Property

Newly renovated and well stocked rental. Outdoor space was great with excellent views of sunset. Lily pad and kayaks provided hours of entertainment for the kids. Mark was welcoming and highly responsive.

Beautiful home, stunning views and amazing hosts!

We spent a lovely weekend mom's weekend getaway here. The house is amazing and the hosts have literally thought of every detail to make your stay so easy and smooth. And we've never had a host who was so attentive and helpful. He came by our first day and did a thorough walk thru for us and he even dropped off extra fire starters one day for us. Definitely recommend this home!

Wonderful Lake Getaway

Our family really enjoyed this lake getaway. A great place to enjoy the outdoors with the patio, hammocks, swings, and kayaks. This house also provides a beautiful sunset view of the lake. Mark was a great host and the house was clean and had all of the comforts of home.
