This property is a spacious unique custom built four season hand scribed luxury log home built on 2.5 secluded acres with a private sand beach, large lakeside manicured lawn, campfire area and boathouse/bunkhouse. Home is located right on the snowmobile and ATV Trails! 5,400 Sq Ft with 4 Bedrooms (includes 2 primary suites) plus Den/5th bedroom, sleeping 12 with 5 bath, large loft and separate bunkhouse at the waters edge on the beach; sleeps 2. Theater style media TV, sauna, pool table, game tables, satellite TV, Netflix, Wi-Fi, washer & dryer, 50' dock, fish cleaning table. Full gourmet kitchen with all service and bar wear and full linens and towels provided. The home is located at the far West end of Big Bay which offers secluded calm waters with minimal wind perfect for fishing, jet skiing, waterskiing or tubing as well as rafting boats to the dock.

Located on Hwy 77/snowmobile trail between Cook & Tower, MN. 13 Miles to Cook, MN and 10 miles to Tower, MN. 5 miles NW of the Y Store on County Rd 77 from Hwy 169. Located 1 mile from Tavern in the Bay Restaurant with an expansive outdoor multi-level deck dining experience with a tiki hut bar and 1 mile from the Vermilion Club with the world famous giant Bamboozler pizza and excellent food. Long paved secluded circular driveway down from County Rd 77 with plenty of parking for cars and large trailers. You cannot see any neighbors and neighbors cannot see you! 3 miles from Everett’s Bay public boat launch (free)

We had a lovely family reunion! The large home was perfect for our occasion. The kitchen was well-stocked and had plenty of counter space and even a Butler's pantry! Each of the three levels had areas for conversations and/or games. The bunkhouse also held lawn chairs and lawn games. Communications with the owner were easy and gracious. All in all, we couldn't have asked for anything better!

Beautiful home! We loved the large yard and beach. The lake toys/equipment were great and received plenty of use. The location is excellent with privacy for your stay but also close to many attractions.

Beautiful Cabin

We had an incredible stay and thought the cabin was absolutely amazing. It is extremely clean and has a ton of character. The backyard is huge, and it is located in a perfectly quiet part of the lake. Overall, I can't recommend staying here enough, and we hope to be back next year.

Great stay on a Great Lake and Grrrrrreat Cabin!!!!!!

If you are looking for a quiet bay on Vermilion, this is it. The home is absolutely beautiful and owner is very responsive. 5 stars all the way around. We will be back!

Women's Breathwork + Wellness Retreat

Lake Side Retreat Company hosted their Autumn Equinox retreat at this beautiful home and the women enjoyed every bit of the gorgeous home. We highly recommend it for families, friends, and so much more!

Family getaway

Had a nice time staying in mid August. Dock was nice to tie up the boats for the fishermen and the yard and beach were great for the kiddos. House was very comfortable and well stocked. Great family getaway

Evaluation

This place was great. Nice beach; many boat toys; cleand and well-maintained; fabulous kitchen equipment; excellent TV. Great for both adults and kids interested in playing on the beach, or canoeing, wake-boarding, kayaking. I can't think of a way to improve it.

Amazing Lake Home

This home is stunning. There was everything we needed for cooking. Loved the pantry for storing our supplies. They had plenty of lake toys and chairs. There was a kayak, canoe, paddle boat and yard games for our use. The lake is a bit rocky so would suggest water shoes for wading along the shoreline. Next visit we will definitely get a pontoon boat to explore the lake. Would highly recommend this lake home, especially for large groups as there is plenty of room for spreading out.

Wonderful Family Vacation

Our extended family of 10 stayed in Kathryn’s home for a week. It was wonderful. From the beginning, communication with her regarding the rental was great. She responded quickly to all my questions. We had one issue that came up once we were in the house that she responded to immediately and to our complete satisfaction. Check in was very easy. The house itself is absolutely beautiful. The workmanship is spectacular. You have to see it to believe it. We had plenty of space to spread out. Beds were comfortable. Everything you might need during your stay is provided. The kitchen is fully equipped. The grounds are beautiful too, and we used and fully enjoyed the canoe, paddle boat and paddle board provided. We would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you so much Kathryn!

Perfect home for a Summer Vacay in MN

We are from MN, but live in Texas. We wanted to escape the heat and remind the kids (16 & 17) about the beauty MN offers. This was the perfect home and perfect location to do just that. The design and furnishing of the home is nothing short of perfection. Great spaces when you want to gather (cooking, eating, games, movies... a place for it all) and be together, but also great bedrooms / suites to relax if you need some time alone. Kathryn the host is quick to respond and truly made her home feel like it was ours for the week. We are a golfing family... and there are 3 world class courses within a 30 minute drive. We also rented a pontoon from the nearby marina (Birch Point) so that we could enjoy the lake. If we are every back in Northern MN, we will absolutely consider staying here again.

Family Vacation success!

We had booked this property well in advance for a family vacation. Walking into this house made us awe struck! The pictures are great, but don't quite do the justice it deserves. It makes you feel like you are at home. Every appliance, kitchen item, and space for everything is right there. The other features that caught my eye were that the house is decorated like the owners live there full-time. Most VRBO's seem to take out all the nice decorations- not this house. Keeping nice things in the house for us to enjoy made it feel cozy. It was perfect for entertaining our family of 10 adults with room to spread out. The pool table was a nice option for when the weather wasn't perfect for outdoor activities. The outdoor space, outdoor equipment and amenities left plenty to do as well. Check-in and check-out was easy. If we had to do laundry, everything was supplied. The only thing I recommend is to bring an extra set of paper products as they are given as an initial courtesy, but it is the guests duty to replenish them once they are out. This minor inconvenience did not warrant NOT giving it 5 stars!!! We will definitely consider this property in the future and so should you!

Absolutely Gorgeous Cabin

This cabin was absolutely gorgeous. It had everything you need and more. The yard and nice sandy beach were perfect. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need. The beds super comfy. We had a wonderful week!!

The property was better than we expected. It was clean, updated, yet rustic. The view of the lake was pristine. Although the water and air were cold for July it did not stop us from having a fabulous northern experience in this beautiful home.

Perfect Family Vacation Home!

House O Logs has it all. Beautiful well maintained home with unique architecture, owner art work, HD TV in every room, game room with ping pong table and beautiful yard facing lake with boat house and sandy beach and dock on a secluded bay. Nothing not to like here. It rained 4 of 7 days our our recent stay but the house and its amenities kept us entertained. A major ping pong tournament and learning how to train a dragon off the theater size HD TV were but a few of the activities. The kitchen is amazing with anything a pro chef would want to use. It is also close to Tower and Zups and the local Y store for gas, bait and sundries including some grocery items. If that is not enough there is a great kids playground and a tennis/pickelball court a short walk away from the house. All in all a perfect vacation home!! Yes it's expensive. But clearly you get what you pay for with House O Logs.

Relaxing Vacation

The log home is definitely nicer than the pictures. We enjoyed boating, tubing, swimming, fishing and relaxing during our week stay. The amenities were great. Many family members enjoyed the paddle board and the kayak. Our accommodations comfortably fit all fourteen family members. Every evening had a cool lake breeze, and more windows with screens facing the lake would have even made our stay much better.

This property was constructed from local trees outside of Ely. This is a one of a kind hand scribed custom log home. You will notice the logs are all different sizes and some are massively big. There is a floating wood staircase and has several wood carvings including one the size of an actual bear! In floor heat to keep your feet warm in the winter.
