Spacious and clean

Beautiful property and plenty of space for multiple families. Cleanest rental ever! Awesome sauna and beach. Loved looking out the big windows over the water and sunsets. Host was wonderful.

Great place!

Very clean, & roomy. It’s a beautiful location on Lake Vermilion. This house worked very well for our 3 generation family vacation. There was lots of outdoor play space for the kids. The kitchen was well equipped.

Little Slice of Heaven

This beautiful lake home was relaxing, comfortable and spacious. Completely set up to host a large family event or a group of close knit friends. Gives a feeling of being out in the wilderness but close to restaurant, casino, golf and town. Neighbors were delightful and the Host was attentive to every request. Looking forward to our next stay!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here very much. Great level site close to the water and dock so easy access to Lake activities. Bedrooms and beds were outstanding, but there are no bedrooms on the main level so just be aware if you have anybody in your group who might have difficulty with stairs inside the home. We were a group of 6 guys visiting for our annual fishing trip. The kitchen and living areas are very nice. Very private setting as we did not have any encounter or interaction with neighbors. The only thing that could be improved, in our opinion, would be the dock configuration. Although were able to tie up our 2 boats, there are no boat lifts and some of the pipes at the end of the dock are exposed and one needs to be very careful and work around the bench and swim ladder at the end of the dock. Thankfully, it is kind of a protected cove and the wind was mostly blowing away from our shore. So the dock works for fisherman, but it could be improved if one was looking to make the dock more fisherman/boat friendly. The host and the location are both wonderful. We would definitely stay here again. Oh, the fire pit and the bird feeders were both nice bonuses that we enjoyed as well.

Extended family of ten. 6 adults, 4 children (age 10 and under)

Words cannot fully tell the story of our week at your cabin-it was awesome. Your correspondence and directions for us were easy to follow. Your cabin booklet (on the table was very helpful). One of the highlights for the boys was when your husband brought the kayaks. What lessons in learning how to use them and how to share. The hours in the water were many. Your facilities were beyond expectation. All of the adults had a turn in preparing a meal- both inside and with the fire pit. The rental property was accurately represented in appearance and amenities. Would recommend visiting : The Wolf Center in Ely. The Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary operated by the American Bear Association in Orr,MN.

Great location for a fishing and friend getaway

Great location to keep the boat at the dock overnights, close to boat launch and the VC. Perfect space for our group and awesome spot on the lake, will be back!

Fall getaway at the waters edge.

Wonderful home on Lake Vermilion! When you read waters edge in the title you don’t picture it like the beauty that it really is. It’s a nice surprise when you walk into the living rooms. It’s like sitting by the lake but your inside comfortably. Which is nice in October when it’s 30 degrees. Tho we only had a family of four, it could host 4 families of four or more. Nice and spacious. Very well stocked. When you need that screw driver to change batteries it’s there. Lots of kids stuff which was awesome! Daisy Bay, one of the best locations. We had an amazing stay. We’ve stayed at over 20 different properties on lake vermilion. This was the best in this price range. Host was very quick to reply and helpful Top of our list to return back to.

Lake edge retreat

We rented this property for our annual fishing trip and what a great cabin! Great location on the lake relative to fishing location and great dock for docking the boats. I would highly recommend this cabin for your next visit to Vermilion.

Huge place!

We had the BEST Thanksgiving! Took our 3 college age kids and a couple of their friends. They all loved it and we as parents loved that we had 3 uninterrupted days with them. They all want to do it again.

Great Lake home for a family get away

The whole process from the beginning until the time we left was seamless, the Lakehome was as advertised and very spacious and comfy not to mention beautiful.

Fantastic Lake Home!

We just returned from our week at Water's Edge - what a fantastic lake home!! It easily accommodated a large group - there was room for everyone to sit and relax, to eat our meals together at the large table, to have a comfortable room to sleep, and plenty of chairs outside to enjoy the beautiful lake view!! The first part of our week was pretty rainy - but sitting by the fireplace was nice and cozy for the girls, while the guys enjoyed watching football on the big screen tv. The latter half of the week was dry, and the fishing was fantastic! The fall colors were just beginning, making the lake even prettier than usual. The cabin was supplied with everything you need - we really appreciated that. Typically we haul up a fair amount of stuff when we go to the lake - things that we've learned aren't typically at most cabins. But you had it all - so the next time we come we won't need to pack as much - Love that!!!! We launched our boats at the Birch Point Marina - it had a nice setup, and the owner was there helping to drop the boats in and pull the boats out - you couldn't ask for better service. So overall we loved out week at Waters Edge and will definitely come back again!! Thank you for sharing your fantastic lake home!!!!!

Water's Edge Lake Home is a cabin that is treasured by family members of all ages. Water's Edge was originally purchased as a one-room family cabin over 30 years ago. Through the years, Water's Edge has expanded and has served as a haven and year-round home for a family of 7. Currently, Water's Edge is lovingly referred to as 'Grandma's Lake' by the owner's 13 grandchildren.
