HOME HIGHLIGHTS:

- There is an additional cost to use the 3 pools and fitness center in Seaside. The cost for this cottage is $56/day. Please alert us after booking should you wish to add the "Seaside Amenity Passes" to your reservation.
-**Optional Cancellation Protection**- Allows cancellation for ANY reason up to 48 hours in advance of stay and guarantees 50% of all monies paid returned ($100 fee applies at booking).

Going Coastal's guesthouse, Tight Lines, is everything you've come to expect in these nautical cottages and more! So get your bearings and come aboard! Be our guest in this 2 bedroom/ 2 bath seaside cottage! Outside, Tight lines enjoys a front porch with rocking chairs. Centrally located beside the Ruskin Place Artist Colony, and steps to the Seaside Town Center and, of course, the beach.

Tight Line is 960 sq. ft with a bunk bedroom downstairs that sleeps 2 and a KING bed upstairs that sleeps 2 more, you'll enjoy separate amenities and feel like you have a floor all to yourself. The bathroom downstairs is quaint with separate walk-in shower off the bedroom while the one upstairs boasts the bath/shower combo. A single trundle bed in the loft area completes the cottage and is sure to provide the extra "deck" space needed for the kids. The kitchen and dining area are just off the living room allowing you to enjoy breakfast in the morning before heading out for an ocean swim!

Bedroom 1: Bunk room (Sleeps 2) / shower inside room with a half bath right outside of the bedroom.
2nd floor-

Perfect spot and cozy!

We loved the location and charm of this place. All the essentials (other than a pack-and-play) were there. Great place to stay if you have a small group. I'd stay here again.

I always love staying in Seaside. This house was just the right price and location for us for our long weekend. Had a great experience with the maintenance we needed while there.

Perfect Location

If you are looking for an easy place close to the square, this is it. It was cute, nice, and had all the things you would usually expect. The screened in porch was helpful for extra hanging out space. The beach, square, pool, and other facilities are all in walking distance.

Summer Vacation 2022

Our family of four had such a great time staying at “Tight Lines”. Very clean, comfortable and the location was so close to all the action. We have stayed at several different properties in Seaside over the years and this was definitely one of our favorites.

I came to Tight Lines with my 3 sisters. Had a wonderful stay. You can’t beat the location.

Overall very good house. The mattresses and pillows could have been nicer but it would not deter me from coming back.

Wonderful Home

Tight lines is a gorgeous property. The location is perfect. It’s right next to the central square. The porch is wonderful and the wood everywhere is lovely. It’s very comfortable, functional and nice. It is also located next to the basketball court and work out facilities which our teenage boys used extensively.

Fantastic location and great house!

The tv in the living room is too small and isn’t a smart tv. After a long day at the beach and seaside town center, we wanted to watch a family movie together. The tv is very small and we couldn’t use our streaming account. The location is fantastic & loved the house!

Perfect for our Family of 5

This was our first time to 30A and the Seaside area and we absolutely loved it. Tight Lines was perfect for our family of 5 and was just what we needed for our stay. The property is located within about a 60 second walk from the town square and a 5 minute walk to the East Ruskin Beach Access point. The home was also located within short walks to the pools, fitness center, and tennis courts. During our stay the kitchen sink faucet broke and the property managers had it fixed within 24 hours. The check in process was smooth, the key and beach wristband setup was easy, and the property manager was always just a text away. Overall, we loved our first trip to Seaside and Tight Lines was all we needed for an enjoyable stay. During our next stay here, it would've been good to have some nicer kitchen supplies (pots, pans, Keurig, etc.), slightly better WiFi, and access to a grill. However, none of these "issues" impacted out stay much and we'd totally stay here again.

Terrific location. Short walk to everything

The carriage house is cute and laid out well for the size. We had three teens and did not have issues. My only comment would be to replace living room furniture with a sectional and the TV on the wall. This would give more comfortable seating for 5 guests. Otherwise, the loft was nice extra room. I would also suggest putting a shower curtain the the bedroom downstairs. And a door for privacy.

"Tight" is Right!

Although it is a bit small, it was perfect for our family. The beds are perfect and we all slept well. The kitchen is small but we chose to enjoy the Seaside restaurants. The cottage is close to the square so we loved the nice walks for breakfast and to the beach. We were very frustrated that the listing promised wi-fi but the signal was either unavailable at times to so weak that it was worthless at other times. Great Southern was our favorite place to eat. Bud & Alley's pizzeria and taco bar were both horrible. Loved the CabanaMan beach service and the bloody mary's at Great Southern. The cottage has a nice porch and the street is quiet. A perfect family getaway!

Cute House. Great Location.

I rented this house for a "workcation" with my business partner and stayed a few extra days to work and relax alone. This house is very conveniently located near shops, restaurants, and the beach--just perfect for our needs. The check-in and check-out process is super easy. The house is comfortable, but parts of it are very outdated (the kitchen), and the hardwood floors were very worn down and seemed a little dirty. I love having a screened-in porch, and the showers were great!A few suggestions to make it even better: 1. The bedroom on the first floor could use a side table and lamp next to the bed. 2. The kitchen had only one full-sized coffee mug (there are several very small tea-cup-sized mugs...but who drinks coffee out of those?) 3. There is a lock box with a key next to the door and the rules state that the key MUST stay in the lockbox. This makes for a VERY convenient check-in and check-out. However, as a female sleeping alone for a few nights in this property, I did not feel safe leaving a key in the lock box since I have no idea who else has access to the code.

Nice Seaside cottage, excellent value compared to others; Very convenient location too!

My husband, myself, and 5 and 7 year old stayed at Tight Lines for 7 days in March 2011. The house is cozy but certainly large enough for my family. The screened in front porch is a nice gathering place. I appreciated that East Ruskin street is quiet and I was comfortable watching my kids ride their bikes back and forth in front of the cottage in the evening. We used the outdoor charcoal grill one evening for dinner and sat on the shared deck--very nice! Tons of things to do in Seaside, but my family spent almost every day on the beach. We rented bikes from Big Fish bike rentals and had family bike rides nearly every morning. Even though my son still has training wheels, this area is wonderful for riding. It was great to have a washer/dryer available after our beach days. We did use the covered Seaside pool and it was nice, too. If you are a person who does not like extra firm mattresses, you might want to bring a mattress pad as the beds are very firm. You can get a full size foam pad from Wal-Mart for under $30. Seaside is fabulous! It is a great place for families.

The perfect beach getaway

My family (husband and 7 YO son) and I stayed for a week at the Tight Lines cottage in November. It was the best vacation. Things we loved: walkability and closeness to beach, pool, shops and food; biking everywhere; community pools are amazing; food trucks made for a great dining experience; access to private beaches. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed. We mostly enjoyed our meals out but had a couple of dinners and found we had enough kitchen supplies. There was enough room for our family of 3. The bunkroom is downstairs separate from the primary bedroom in the loft. Things we recommend: I added a bike rental from bumblebee rentals for my son. Delivery was great and we used the bikes everyday! Check out the pools and community activities. The facilities are beautifully maintained and worth the extra money to have access. Try all the food trucks! We would grab food and then eat on the beach. Try to get lost on the walk paths. Check out paddleboarding at watercolor. Just a quick bike ride away. This was our first time in the area and we would highly recommend the area and this cottage rental.

Great cottage in great location!

My mom and I stayed in seaside for a long weekend in September and found this cottage to be just fine for us. They have done some nice updates to the kitchen, beds were very comfortable, and the layout worked really well for us - felt larger than it was. The proximity to town couldn't have been better, it's just steps to shops and restaurants - and it's still not too far of a walk to the beach. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that it does need a few minor repairs done to it....it's starting to show it's age. The upstairs bath faucet needs to be replaced - it leaks constantly. And the wood floors in front of the laundry, leading to the downstairs bedroom, is badly buckled from water damage and is a major trip hazard! We both tripped on it the first time! But for the most part it felt clean and well kept. It's a great price for a 2 bedroom in Seaside, and that was the biggest perk! A 1 bedroom through the Cottage Rental Agency would have been almost double what we paid for this 2 bed/2bath. We have rented through Sandpiper for several years now and they are always very accommodating and easy to work with and their cottages are always at a much better price than their competition.

Tight Lines Review

First, I would say that the home had a great location. Easy walks to dining, shopping, beach and pools. The house needs some TLC. The side deck has protruding nail heads and my daughter got an anormous splinter in her foot. Also, the description of the property included stating that it had a land line. Despite two phones in the house and a posted phone number there is in fact no land line. That item has since been removed from the description but I suggest that the owners remove the phones and posted phone number to avoid confusion. Better yet pay for the land line as cell phone reception is spotty at best and when traveling with children a working phone is needed in case of emergency. There are some other aesthetic issues (e.g., goofy upstairs shower, ridiculously high towel racks, portruding nail head on stairs, upstairs TV without working remote and the sound appears to be going). I would say that it is overall not a good set up for families with younger children.

OK place. Falls short of expectations

The size of the property was adequate for our family which consist of two elementary age kids. The property reminded me of college living. Floors were dirty on arrival, furniture and beds wore out, pots and pans from a thrift store that should just be thrown away. The dryer would not dry clothes. All that said we made the best of it and made good memories with our children. I just expected more for the investment made. If the owners would just make a little investment in the property they could greatly improve a person's stay. We will definitely stay in this community if we ever go back but will seek a different property to rent.

We love the location! Close to everything!!!

We loved our stay! We weren’t at the house much but the location is so nice and close! There is a shower in the bunk room which was a little strange. My biggest complaint was the rude neighbors and the 8 pm curfew for my teens. Overall the house fit our needs and I would stay again!!!

Great location, near everything.

This was a nice vacation property to rent. They layout is a little strange, but almost every rental I've been in, in this area, kind of has that same vibe. I almost think it's done that way on purpose. The kitchen was a little small, if you like to prepare fancy meals, but the outside space was really nice. The one parking space was at the door, and easy to get in and out of. You can walk easily to the beach or the shopping area. I found the need for beach ID bracelets a little weird. Not sure when that started in Florida. Overall, we were satisfied. The price was sure right.

Cute little cottage with quirks

Cute little cottage with quirks. I think it is important to note that there are no bedroom doors (upstairs, loft, or downstairs) and that the downstairs shower is IN the bedroom....directly across from the bunks. The location was nice and there was parking right by the house.
