Peaceful and Beautiful

Beautiful spacious home and property. Fully equipped kitchen for all cooking needs and enjoyed the outdoor games provided by host. Beautiful - Peaceful location with quick accesss to town. Host was very responsive with all our inquiries. We had a fantastic family vacation here. Highly recommend!! Thank you!!

Great stay!

This house was a great place to meet up with friends. A little more outside of town than I was expecting but still easy to get around. Great communication from host.

Great weekend.

We had a great weekend at the property. It’s perfect for a family with plenty of room for two and four legged friends. The house had plenty of room for cooking and hanging out. The kitchen was well equipped with most of what you need. Enjoy the country with easy access to everything you need. We will come back for sure.

Holidays in Templeton

My sister lives less than a mile away from this rental and so the location was perfect. It had everything we needed. Please note to bring slippers if staying there in the winter as the whole house is tile floor. The property manager was very responsive and accommodating.

Lovely country home

We were in town for a family wedding, and the house had plenty of room for all, even the dog. The fenced yard was a huge bonus. Would definitely stay again.

Nice large property, could have been cleaner

Nice property, very quiet with large yard and removed from the road. Plenty of space, cleanliness was the only disappointing factor, as there were many spiderwebs, dead bugs, and a few dusty surfaces. Somewhat understandable due to the more remote location though. Plenty of areas for dogs to stay with kennels and dog run area and even had dog bags and cleanup station. Dan was responsive.

A little break in the country

Stayed here with my husband and two big dogs. The property was perfect for dog owners with a large outdoor dog run that has a door into the laundry room where the kennels are. The floors are all tile so no worry about scratching floors. My jerkface dog decided to scratchthe doorframe so we notified Dan who communicated with me regarding repairs. The property is large and we spent a lot of time on the front porch in the shade having coffee and reading. We rented the house to have our family come with us, so it would have been a fit for 6 people total. Overall, a great experience.

Nice house

Very comfortable home and wheelchair accessible. Nice quiet country area. Enjoyed the area. Had great kitchen and bbq grill. The only problem was 2 sleeping beds (one was a futon) were not in the house. They are in the garage and the bed had hair (dog hair we think) on it. No ac or header in the garage. No one slept there. We would go back, but with less people.

Good stay with some issues

Our group of 6 recently stayed at a VRBO rental for 4 nights. The house itself was great, but we were disappointed to find that it wasn't cleaned after the previous guests. We arrived at 5pm after a 4-hour drive and had to leave the property to allow the crew to clean it. Although we did enjoy our stay after the initial issue was resolved, the reimbursement we received for the inconvenience barely covered dinner for two. Overall, we had a decent experience, but the cleanliness issue was a letdown.

Perfect retreat for Wine Weekend

Four of us stayed here for a long weekend of wine tasting. The house was exactly as described and was very comfortable. It had everything we needed for the weekend, and we appreciated the little soap amenities and soft towels in the bathroom. I loved that this property was out away from town because it was, super quiet with great views. It was great knowing that the neighbor is an emergency contact for the property and is very nice so we also felt safe and looked after while still having a lot of privacy. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Dan for welcoming us into your home.

Holiday Basecamp

What an easy pleasant VRBO stay! If you are on the fence, do it, click the button and book it! Sunshine Hills is sparkling clean; the sinks, tubs, floors, etc. Fall & winter overnight temps in Templeton get seriously furreezing and we were just fine on those tile floors! They have a groovy Nest thermostat, warmed up the house, then I turned the heat off at bedtime. The little coffee counter has a supply basket with to-go cups to get you started and out the door, but we had our own stuff. The paper cups were nice for check-out day. The beds were darn comfortable. Sheets were not high end luxury, but just fine. I usually would not stay in a dog friendly house but we wouldn't have known dogs were ever there except for the super cool enormous mud room/laundry room with dog crates, for big dogs, parked or tucked into the cabinets as well as what I am guessing is a bathing sink for pups and the door out to the home's own little contained "dog park". You'll walk through this room from the garage to the kitchen. I frankly don't know how we scored this place at the last minute for the holiday, pretty sure someone's plans changed. We used Sunshine Hills as overflow accommodations for the Thanksgiving weekend at a family member's house 15 minutes away so we did not spend much time at the house but the 4 of us went for a walk and got some entertainment from the crazy chickens & roosters up the street at Templeton Farms. Our host was responsive when we had questions and the price was very fair. We would stay again, but we love the area so much we bought a place of our own! Maybe we will need Sunshine Hills for holiday overflow when our house is full, lol. A great visit overall!

Great place for family gatherings

Upon our drive in, we noticed the rolling hills of vineyards out front before entering the gated property. Getting into the home was a breeze with the smart lock and we loved how dog friendly and wheelchair accessible this home was for our family vacation. The dogs had a blast in their fenced in area and we felt great knowing they were safe while we were out enjoying wine country. We definitely would recommend this place to any family and friends. There were plenty of pots and pans and cooking utensils which we enjoyed using as most places don’t have all the home essentials like one would be used to but this home did. It was a home away from home and cozy and welcoming!!

Perfect family comfort!

We stayed with our family for our near by wedding weekend. This property was perfect for family and friends to gather. Tons of space, amenities and bedding. Pet friendly and extras for the kiddos. Highly recommend!!!

The best in the area

We rented this home because its very close proximity to an event we were attending, and the fact that they allowed dogs - but we were blown away as to how incredibly great this house was. It is a very large, upscale, roomy custom home. if you decided to build a house yourself, this is the perfect layout. Additionally, everything you want in a vacation home, this house has. Upscale leather furniture, beautiful tile flooring throughout the entire house (with area rugs as needed), smart TV, great internet speed, very good drinking water out of the tap, and an incredibly tranquil setting. We had to many great events planned, but the best time we had was sitting outside (the front, rear and side of the house). Watch the sunrise, and sunset over the vineyards and vast oak studded rolling hills - and for your pups, simply open the giant laundry room door, and your dogs are in a very secure, large dog run. I would go back, just to stay in this home just to stay there again - and do nothing but take in the entire experience!

Great Stat

We had a fabulous time at this wonderful home in Templeton. We had a great celebration and were joined by our friends. Dan is just so incredible to work with. Our dogs raced around the property from Dawn to dusk and stopped only to come back and rest for a few minutes.

Nice family home

This is a very nice home with plenty of room for a family of four. It is in a nice and quiet location with a nice view out the front and back yard. The back deck is a nice space to sit at night and we would have done so but, the furniture cushions are in poor shape and in need of replacement. So, we sat out front with the nice view. The home is a little farther out and if you like the country (we do) it is a good fit for the family. The home over all is nice and equipped well. We did have an issue with the HVAC system. It was on cool mode but at times was blowing hot air and took a while to cool off the house but, it was a hot! weekend. I feel the system needs to be checked and go through a tune up. The cleaning staff could use more attention in all corners of rooms and bathrooms with regards to chasing spider webs. Also, with a little detail to the landscape (back master deck). All in all it was a nice place and I would recommend this home for a nice family stay. We would return for future family trips.

Gorgeous Place and Wonderful Get Away From Everything

Our experience was a wonderful one at this beautiful country home. This was my first get away with my family and having my folks with us. The accommodations were very comfortable and was like a private home away from the hustle and bustle. Dan was very accommodating and check in was very easy. Everything inside was very clean except there were a handful of flying ants or termites in a few of the rooms and bathrooms. The ping pong area was also really fun but there were quite a few cobwebs and daddy long legs on the outdoor chairs and indoor ones so we just used the little kids dusting pan from the garage to clean them up. Other than that, we loved everything about the place. I also really enjoyed soaking in the tub with the jets. We treated it like an indoor jacuzzi in our swim suits. There were vineyard very close to us and the drive to get there was so beautiful! Highly recommend this place!

Beautiful with Great Host!

I didn't actually ever go to the house. It was booked for the bridal party at my wedding. My new wife said the house was beautiful and everything was very comfortable and enjoyable. Dan was a great host and he was in regular communication. Just a stand up guy overall and the girls loved staying at Dan's place! Thank you!

Beautiful Home Exceeded Our Expectations!

The home is lovely, beautifully maintained and decorated, roomy and inviting. The kitchen is huge and well equipped. The area is gorgeous, with vineyards right outside the home. Check in was so easy and convenient! We would love to stay here again!

AMAZING STAY

I booked this house for weekend stay for a wedding that the family was going to. it fit everyone and have everything that we needed. Dan was an amazing host and was very easy to talk to AND HAVE GREAT communication with any questions I had for him. Fun in Paso

House was clean and very comfortable. Nice 6 acres of quiet away from town noise. Great wineries just down the street and a n organic farm stand next door. Lots of pots and cooking utensils, glasses and plates. Beds were comfortable and made well. Front and back patio were our highlights
