Watch the sunrise from this amazing 4500 square foot 5 Bedroom, 3 Bathroom, home situated on one of Alexandria's prime lakes. Located on the west side of Lake Carlos, just around the corner from the lake's public access. This home features a large yard that situated on 1.29 acres and 100 ft of lakeshore on the premiere Alexandria chain of lakes. The yard is perfect for yard games and the lakeside fire pit is a family favorite after sundown! Be ready to enjoy the lake all day!
This epic view of the lake can be accessed from both the upper level deck and lower-level screen porch of the home. The lakefront master is just one of five bedrooms this home offers. With upper and lower living rooms, large upper kitchen and lower kitchenette there is plenty of room to spread out.
This cabin is close to everything the area has to offer including lakeside restaurants, golf courses, coffee shops, shopping, trails, breweries, wineries, and so much more. Alexandria is one of the most popular vacation areas in Minnesota!

Nice Cabin on Carlos

Very nice cabin on Carlos. The host was amazing and helpful. The house was just lovely lots of room for a large family.

Family Reunion on Lake Carlos

Had a great week in a wonderful home. The house was very well equipped and roomy enough for our group (9 adults, and 2 children). Communication was excellent for check in instructions as well as during the week. The backyard was flat for yard games and the deck had nice views of the lake. The bedrooms could sleep more than listed as there were queen bunks in 2 of the rooms and 2 queen beds in another. The king master suite even had a pull out trundle. There is a very large dock with an open space for your boat. My 21’ fit nicely. We had a 2nd boat (16’ Jon boat) which was much tougher to dock as you have to maneuver around the corner. Fishing was good as We caught panfish, bass and Northers off the dock. The house has a geo thermal system and we respected the owners wishes to not adjust thermostats. We stayed in late July and the basement was 62 and the upstairs 65 to 68. Which was too cold for our group as we had a 2 month old. However we did not communicate with the owner on this issue. Overall a great house would definitely book again

Great location but would not stay here again

We had a lovely week on Lake Carlos and enjoyed the sunshine and lake access. However, we had 2 main issues with the property. First, the images of the VRBO include a boat, but you are not allowed to use it. There were at least 5 or 6 doors inside the house which were locked and stated they were for owner access only so the kitchen was not that well equipped. Second, the house was filthy and there were a lot of outlets and light bulbs which did not work. The portion of the coffee pot where you put the coffee grounds was full of mold. There were empty cans sitting around and trash on the floor. The fireplace in the main family room did not work. The toilets clogged a lot from regular every day use. You could not run 2 showers at the same time due to a lack of hot water. Overall, while it is a beautiful house, we will not be staying here again.

Overpriced at $1185/night - Value not there

This property does not have the value one would expect at this price point. We have stayed at many VRBO's and this was a dissapointing stay and we had to leave the property early. There were multiple issues too many to list. Primarily the property appeared not to be professionally cleaned. The initial smell in the home was concerning. The basement carpeting was damp and the tiles in the bathroom were wet and mold was behind the toilet. A plumber arrived the next day and it was determined that the home's geothermal system was not functioning properly not a leaky a toilet. So that explained the damp carpeting and the unusual smell. and mold. There was not ample hot water to take showers. The grills were filthy and unusable. It appears the owners use the property alot and there were signs and locks everywhere.. it was not inviting. Most properties we stay at the owners may have a closet for personal items. The screened in room was nice but there was no gas in the gas tank to use ( called and the property manger delivered)---we had to sweep and clean the home before our children's families arrived. The property manager did a great job of addressing our concerns so that part was a saving grace. Home is overpriced. Paying $1185 a night -- the home should have amenities for the lake --there were none. The only thing close was a plastic container/box with dirty life jackets and noodles by the dock. The firepit was unusable with weeds and sticks. Cannot in good consious recommend,

Great house! Perfect for a large group.

What a great space, and plenty of it! The pictures don't do justice for how much space you have both inside and outside. Perfect for a large gathering of any type!

Family Time

This was a great place for 6 adults and 2 pre-school age children to relax in a very roomy home with lots of yard space for outdoor fun and access to water for swimming and a little boating. The hot water heater did not always keep up with the 8 people. Thank you.

This house is Beautiful; and perfect for a large family get together. Everything is just as it's described. I would Highly recommend this house to Everyone! We were Thrilled with this vacation setting!

Beautiful property

Very spacious home. Very comfortable beds. We loved the deck and the patio overlooking the lake with the fire pit. The kitchen was well stocked. The only complaint would be that the property needs a better ladder to get in and out of the water. The lake has a nice sandy bottom but no beach. There are big rocks along the bank and they are very hard to walk on and so having a better ladder would be very helpful. We really enjoyed our week.
