DOWNSTAIRS NOW AVAILABLE! Our 4/3 Beautiful Two Story Home is in Marathon Fl. Located in the middle of the Florida Keys at MM53 which makes the rest of the Keys with-in easy reach. It is on a deep-water channel on the Gulf side with 75ā€™ of concrete dockage. The Gulf is only minutes out the channel and the Atlantic Ocean just a few minutes more back thru Vaca Cut Pass.

BRAND NEW May 2024! Additional space on 1st floor - 1 King bed / 1 Bath with Washer/Dryer, Fridge/Freezer, direct access from pool deck! Space will NOT be rented separately while upstairs main house is occupied.

The 11x22 saltwater private pool is located in the backyard. Has heating and cooling capabilities for $150/week. Request 21 days prior to check-in.

The 75ā€™ of Concrete Dock has a concrete stair cut-out down to the water and a Stainless steel fish cleaning station. The dock is also equipped with fresh water and electric. The water front has a nice area for Sun bathing, lounging and relaxing at the dock. Also in the rear under the unit has a large picnic table and barbecue grill for grilling and outside dining.

The unit has 2 sets of concrete stairs, one located in the front parking area and the other in the rear for easy access to dock and grilling area. There is plenty of off road parking on the right side and under the house. There are two cameras overlooking the pool and Owners Boat. They are motion activated and take still shots every 30 minutes.

Upstairs is a 3 bedroom 2 bath house with tile floors thru-out. There is a 10ā€™ x 38ā€™ screened porch across the rear facing the water for relaxing and watching sunsets with balconies on each side. The spacious master bedroom has a King bed and printer with High Speed Internet connections, the #2 bedroom has a Queen bed and the #3 bedroom has 2-Double beds, all 3 have plenty of closet space. Each bedroom has its own thermostat control! The Laundry room is located upstairs with Washer/Dryer & Large Freezer for storing your fresh catch and ice. Bait freezer is located in the outdoor closet beside the pool.

Downstairs is a spacious 1 King Bed & 1 Full Bathroom with Kitchenette (no stove) with airfyer, refrigerator/freezer, washer & dryer, living space with fold-out couch. Direct access off pool deck with sliding door. This space was refreshed in 2024 with new ceilings, floors and paint. The space is private with its own carport and no interior connection to the upstairs.

The Living/Dining/Kitchen area is very spacious and well equipped. There is a 55ā€ Smart TV with plenty of channels to choose from for any goof-off days

There are two nice boat ramps with in a mile of the house for your convenience. Davits are not for renter use.

Also Fine and casual dining close by. Try Franks, a fine Italian restaurant you can walk to.

Let us recommend 3 Localsā€™ restaurants that are a must, Island Fish Co at MM54 and the Key Colony Inn & Sparky's Landing located on Key Colony Beach.

College Group Vacation

This was a trip to get out of the cold to someplace warm. We are all friends who went to college together. The house was wonderful and the pool great. Manatees met us at the dock on arrival and we watched for them every day. Plenty of room to spread out. Many an evening was spent on the screened in porch reading or playing games. Would definitely stay here again.

Marathon Vacation

The house was very clean and accommodating for 3 couples. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots/pans/utensils/glasses etc. The beds were comfortable. The outdoor living space was exceptional and we were right on the canal. We were so excited to see manatees up close and personal. Got to see lots of planes coming in, the house was right under the path for planes coming into the small Marathon airport. The owner of the property was very helpful in giving us the lay of the land for places to eat and see during our stay in Marathon. Not that we were inside a whole lot, while spacious, the living room furniture wasnā€™t that comfortable. But overall the property was everything the description said it would and I would highly recommend others to rent this property, the price was great for the week.

Great Marathon rental for families... especially if you have a boat!

After driving the family from Michigan, Marathon and this property was the perfect destination to use as a hub for a week of Key's adventures. The property was perfect for a family with lots to do outside in the essentially enclosed property. The house was walkable to a lot of necessities (Gym, gas station, Walgreens, dollar store, etc...) and allowed for quick driving to numerous activities on Marathon and was a great central spot to Islamorada, Key West and everywhere in-between. We would definitely be interested and are hoping/planning to rent again. The only two downsides were that we had to purchases some plastic cups/plates/bowls for young kids not feeling confident in their glass/ceramic holding capabilities and the canal (although very entertaining for kids with constant manatee sightings and fish to try far) was not that great for fishing. Us having a boat would have made the property complete.

Nice House - Great Location

Nice House in a great location! TV in bedroom did not work, 1/3 of screen was out. Also, the Air Conditioning is awful in the back of the house and the thermostat would not go below 70

Marathon Stay

This house was excellent. Very spacious and a great screened in porch. Andy was vary easy to work with. He gave us several suggestions on things to do around Marathon. This was our best trip yet!

Best accommodations I have experienced in the Keys so far

House was amazing! Plenty of space and sits on a canal that has easy boat access. We stayed for a week and only ate out one time. Having a full kitchen was awesome. We came down in January and stayed in a hotel. The cost was only about 25% cheaper at the hotel. I donā€™t think I will ever stay in a hotel again for this type of travel. We are divers, and are a group of four people. Trying to put four people, a weeks worth of clothes, and 4 complete sets of dive gear in a hotel room is a pain. We were all over each other. This house was so comfortable it felt like home. The owner, Andy was also VERY easy to work with. When we arrived, I had a couple of questions, I had his phone number and he answered immediately and was able to tell me what I needed to know. It is nice having an actual contact and not having to go thru a company who will ā€œget back with youā€. The location is within walking distance to a Walgreens and there is a nice Bagel shop right across the street thru a cut thru. (2 min walk). There is a Publix and a Winn Dixie grocery store about a 5 min drive. Check the prices. We actually found some stuff to be cheaper at the Walgreens than at the grocery stores. It is about an hour and ten min drive, (which honestly does not seem that long when driving it), to Key West, and about 35 min to ā€œKey Divesā€ at ā€œBud and Maryā€™s Marinaā€ on Islamorada. I would highly recommend this location if you are planning a trip to the Florida Keys.

Water access

Captain Jimā€™s house was cleaned, roomy and convenient location. However, the water access (the canal) was not blue or clear green water as I was expected. It was murky so I wasnā€™t enthusiastic to sit at the porch. To be fair, I travel to Florida quite often so I have higher expectation, but my parents enjoyed every minutes on the screened porch. The code that provided to the house was incorrect, but we couldnā€™t get in touch with the owner. Luckily, my daughter found the porch door was unlocked. Imagine after 18 hours drive and get locked out. The next day we were able to get in touch with Captain Jim and he was pleasant. The price was reasonable so I believe you get what you paid for! Thank you Jim for sharing your home with us.

Had a wonderful time!

Very much enjoyed the screened in porch overlooking the canal and most of all the manatees that appeared each day! Jim was very helpful and available to us by phone for any questions we had. Kitchen was well supplied. We were close by local businesses and restaurants and enjoyed being able to rent a boat which we kept right in front of the property on the canal.

Beautiful home and excellent property mansger/owner

We had an amazing experience at this property. Everything was exactly as described and very clean. The dock was very well maintained too. No complaints from us and if traveling there again in the future we would definitely stay there again. Only note is the left back bedroom is a tad hot, it doesnt get a lot of the AC. I was comfortable but my husband was hot at night.
