Newly renovated cottage on 6 acres, surrounded by the Norma Johnson Wilderness Center. Private and peaceful, with all the amenities travelers want; high-speed internet, 1000’s of channels (including movie channels), high-end appliances, speed queen washer/dryer, leather sectional with 4 recliners, beautiful outdoor space with hot tub, 53” propane fire pit, activities (easy setup volleyball/badminton, football, corn toss...), gas grill, and so much more! 1 bedroom and 1 bath on the first floor, 4 bedrooms and 1 bath on the second level.

**** Guest privacy and security is our top priority. Security cameras are in place to monitor the driveway and side yard, but do not monitor areas of guest activity. ***

This house was everything we were looking for and more! Check in was easy, communication with the owners was prompt, friendly and helpful. I cannot go on enough about the comfort and relaxing atmosphere of the property(bonus points for Norma the cat who loves evening snuggles on the back porch)!! 100% plan on booking this rental (if its available) for every trip we make to Amish country!!!

Wonderful family gathering!

Beautiful property, beautiful home.. wonderful for our family gathering in Dover. Loved the preserve next door for morning walks! Would highly recommend to anyone coming into the area. Just loved it.

Fantastic place!

Property was clean and well decorated. It felt cozy and suited our group well. Plenty of space inside, and a great outdoor space to enjoy as well. The owners thought of everything and it showed — so many thoughtful details and finishing touches. Beds were a little firm for our liking, but not enough to prevent us from returning. We had a wonderful stay.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay! Mattresses and pillows were some of the toughest decisions we made while setting up the property becaue everyones tastes are uniquel, even within our family. Family Reunion Weekend

This home was beautiful and so perfect for our weekend family reunion. We have a great time and the place was perfect! The decor is delightful, bedrooms well appointed, kitchen is a dream! Outdoor entertaining space is stellar! We enjoyed the hot tub and the gas firepit was a bit hit!

Beautiful home!

Yellow brick cottage was absolutely wonderful! Such a great place for our family to gather and make memories! So many amenities that make you feel right at home ! The owner was very attentive and was easy to reach with any questions!

Great experience

We loved our stay. Great house for gathering inside or outside. A comfortable combination of beautiful old farmhouse with fully updated and modern amenities. We spent a lot of time outside in the hot tub and around the fire while the kids played in spacious yard with lots of room to explore.

Wonderful Property

Very pretty, clean home. The owner thought of everything from wireless speaker, comfy throws, and great hot tub. Bathrooms modern and spotless.

Great friends getaway

The house was clean and cozy and Brenda is a wonderful host. Was a great place for girls getaway and close to shopping. The only complaint is the highway 39 road noise and the floor creaking from being an old house. We had a great time and appreciated the special touches from Brenda located throughout the house!

Girls' Weekend

This property was perfect in every way! This is one of the best rentals I have ever stayed in. It is exactly as pictured and described only more beautiful in person. The house is in a great location and you have everything you could possibly imagine! I have added this to my favorites and plan on bringing the family at some point!!

Yellow brick is the best!

My family & I stayed at Yellowbrick for my wedding & I can't say enough about how amazing it was there! We ended up needing it a day early & we're able to get in last minute & I couldn't be more grateful! It was such a lovely property & house in general :) my mother and grandmother just kept saying how great it was to have a little vaycay!

Do not pass up this property!

I can't begin to describe how perfect this property was for our group of 5. It is by far thr cleanest and best appointed property any of us have had the pleasure of staying at. Brenda was very responsive when we had a question and was very easy to communicate with. We will stay here again in the future!

A comfortable, fresh, well-appointed place

The house is clean and well cared for, and Brenda has obviously put time and thought into planning for an environment where you can relax and feel comfortable. The quality was high and attention to detail—like having an available place right by the bed to plug in and recharge your phone—apparent throughout. I would recommend her house to others.

Wonderful weekend

Great time at Yellowbrick. The house was well updated and comfortable. It made a lot of old house noises, but that is expected from an older home. We loved Norma (cat). She would sit with us by the fire each night.

Perfect Gathering Spot

There was nothing we needed that this place didn’t have. The fire pit and hot tub were a hit, as was the outdoor cat Norma who hung around. Nice decorating and spotless! One and ONLY small negative was that it’s on a busy road and noisy, but nothing that fans (provided) in the bedrooms couldn’t help to muffle.

A Nice Stay

The property was very clean and well maintained. Overall we had an enjoyable stay. The house is very close to route 39, which is a very busy road so the noise was less than desirable. A bit further away from Amish towns than we wanted for the area, but houses with this many bedrooms are limited in the area. Price was steep, but again not many in the area with that many bedrooms. Owner was very communicative and made the stay very easy.

Yellow brick on 39 was a dream

The property felt like it was straight out of a movie set. It was so incredibly comfortable and charming, the setting was just perfect for us. The amenities were spot on. But the thing that shined the most was the hospitality that Brenda provided. She went above and beyond to give us countless recommendations of what to do, and where to eat and just truly made us feel welcomed and at home. The was our first time using VRBO, and because of Brenda and Yellow Brick on 39 it’s a 10 out of 10 recommend. Best rental experience we’ve had hands down. Thank you again Brenda for the incredible stay!

Hi! I'm Brenda. I was a nurse for 23 years, a special education teacher for 3 and now I'm a full-time host and I love it! I was born and raised in Amish Country. My dad was raised Amish and I still have lots of Amish relatives. I love my area and live minutes from the property. I am available if you need me. If you need recommendations, I would love to be your concierge. We can stock your fridge with local goodies upon request, so let me know at booking if that is something that you would like.

Yellowbrick is located minutes from I-77 and smack dab in the middle of Amish Country and the Dover/New Philadelphia area. Head west on Route 39 and you are in Amish Country, but don't forget to head east and check out Dover and New Philly for more amazing eats and shopping!
