Hi Derrick, Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear you were disappointed with your stay, though I do want to clarify a few things for accuracy. This home is professionally cleaned and inspected before each guest’s arrival, and no prior guests have reported mold issues. Upon review with our cleaners they likewise have never seen mold at the house. That said, we’ve taken your comment seriously and brought in a specialist and have confirmed there are no mold concerns. The upstairs can get warm during peak summer days, but our air conditioning unit is fully capable of handling it. I wish you would have let us know so we could have taught you how to use it. Really shouldn’t be that complicated. The yard is intentionally left more natural, and it is regularly maintained and safe for play. Guests love that our home is in a country setting full of natural beauty, especially for their kids and pets. My 11 year old son just had a sleepover with all pf his friends and they were outside the whole time! The buildings next door are a respected local business and not vacant by any means. As for the appliances, they are fully functional and regularly serviced. The refrigerator is less than a year old, and the dishwasher is brand new. We work hard to provide a clean, comfortable space in a great location — and many guests appreciate exactly that. I’m glad you enjoyed the proximity to downtown St. Joseph and hope you made some good memories during your trip.

Rest assured I am discussing your issues with our cleaners to make sure they rectify the issues you noticed. I also updated the listing to fix any inaccuracies. Unfortunately you caught us on an unusually warm week. When the house is empty the thermostat adjusts to save energy which occurred prior to your arrival. I have changed that setting going forward.
