Its a Shore Thing, an Oasis with access to everything LBI and the area have - go boating directly from the back yard dock ~30ft, take a dip in the clear refreshing pool, enjoy the breeze while relaxing on the deck with a frosty beverage and watch the - turtles, crabs, ducks, and swans in the Lagoon - talk about relaxing!

The space
Enjoy your stay at Beach Haven West with access to amazing seafood available nearby, plenty of activities for your kids, or adults, Long Beach Island is ~10 minute Uber ride, ~30 minutes by by boat - the house is perfect for relaxing while looking into the lagoon or at the protected nature preserve just across the street. OR... enjoy the crystal clear pool and escape the heat, or simply enjoy a swim. *Please note: It is not a heated pool.

Enjoy boating, fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking all directly from the back yards lagoon end 30 ft dock. The lagoon is home to fish, crabs, ducks, and the occasional swan. Skip the traffic and watch fireworks from the comfort of the porch on holiday weekends in the summer!

Nearby are excellent options for dining, especially seafood lovers as Mud City and Long Beach Island are minutes away.

Will require full week rental for July 4th and Labor Day holidays due to demand.
Guest access

Awesome time in Beach Haven West!

Really nice, spacious house on the lagoon in a quiet area. The pool was great, and LBI is close by. Grocery stores, coffee, Walgreens, Costco, lots of good food all a few minutes’ drive away if you don’t feel like going to the island. You can kayak off the back dock or rent them. Host was very helpful and responsive! The only issue was the green flies, but that’s expected this time of year in the salt marsh, Bring the bug spray! It’s a great place for vacation with adults or kids. We will be back!

We had a wonderful time. House was spacious, clean, perfect for our family. Outdoor was amazing ! Pool was great ! The green flies were horrible for a few days but we made it work. Definitely bring bug spay !!

Unique spot in a great location for all things around LBI

We stayed at Shore Thing because of the proximity to the beach (LBI) and an event center where we had to be at for much of the week. It was a convenient location and very spacious. The pool was a hug bonus as so many rentals in this area don't have pools and during a busy week, it was great to have for our down time. There are some great restaurants in the Manahawkin areas as well. It was a great place and the hosts were very accommodating and helpful

Disappointed is an understatement. We were greeted with a house full of mosquitoes and gnats on our entry into the home.Only to find out that last minute pool repairs had left the pool not only unusable but extremely dangerous. Left empty and unprotected. The grill was rusted out and filthy.The refrigerator was very dirty.All bathroom GFI breakers were unusable. We couldn't use a blow dryer.The fire extinguisher is dated 1993.The master bath shower is full of black mold. Dust and filth throughout the entire home. I opened the cabinet under the kitchen sink to find moldy cleaning products. The outside area was just as terrible as the inside. Patio was completely neglected in any cleaning attempt. The seat cushions were full of mildew and unusable. There are several tripping hazards outside.Most importantly was the response from the host.I immediately texted the host and he was opplogetic and surprised that his wife had not informed us of the issues with the pool. I then started using the Verbo application to communicate with the host.They begruginly gave a credit of 300 for the loss of the pool. While berating me when I did not agree with the amount.My mistake was not calling Verbo immediately upon entering the property. I foolishly was trying to communicate with the host and trusting that they would take care of everything. At the end of the day, this host did not take care of their property. Leaving us in an uncomfortable situation.
Pool was under repair and left empty and dangerous for the first several days of our visit.
I only noticed the mold after a glob of it fell down.

Very nice house, .ore than enough room

We Have stayed in Beach Haven West three times now and really love it. The proximity to the island while getting a little bit more space is really nice. Our kids made friends with the other neighborhood kids and when we weren't on the island were playing together. The house has a nice bedroom layout and amount of beds to adequately handle a bunch of different kids of groups. Our boys loved swapping between the top bunk and the bottom bunk that they made into a fort. The beds were also very comfortable, and there was a desk area in the master bedroom which made the occasional work easier to do. The A/C worked well and we were comfortable in the house. We also found the house well stocked for kitchen items. The pool was really nice and there was enough seating outside. The kids also enjoyed crabbing and fishing off the dock. While we were there the bugs happened to be pretty bad (green head flies) so we didn't really get to use the outside as much as we would like.

A Little Getaway!

The house is beautiful! When we got there, we inspected the house for cleanliness and to make sure everything was okay so that I could inform the hosts of anything that was wrong. I did that. The Host did not respond. The fridge/freezer was dirty and had stuff in it. I then checked the Grill. It was unusable! It was filthy. HOW CAN YOU OFFER THIS ON THE LISTING?! This is the 3rd house on VRBO where I cannot use the Grill! The upstairs was warm. I couldn't sleep! Contacted the owner to see if there was anyway that the upstairs could be adjusted and receive NO ANSWER! I WILL NEVER USE VRBO AGAIN!

Clean House and Great Host

This property was very clean upon arrival. I was really impressed with how well housekeeping kept the house. The house is a great size with a good layout. There was a new couch, which we appreciated, along with some other good updates. I loved that we didn’t have to wash the sheets at the end of the stay – another great aspect of the housekeeping. The location and house were great. The host, Melissa, was very responsive and kind. The greenhead flies were unbearable, though. We were excited to have a house with a pool but we couldn’t use it, or any of the outdoor space. We could barely walk from the front door to the car without being completely swarmed by the biting flies. This is normal/common for this specific street/town in July and August. This is, of course, was of no fault to the excellent host. However, it’s something I wish I knew before booking so I’m including it in this review. The views were outstanding. I loved looking out on the lagoon while in the kitchen.

Shore thing

We have stayed at many houses in this neighborhood but this one is at the top of the list. Everything was as advertised. The house was clean, the pool was great.

Loved this House!

Overall we were very pleased with the property. The house is amazing. We really enjoyed the pool. Weather wasn’t the warmest for the first few days but this location is close enough to venture into LBI or not. We enjoyed the house when we stayed in. Enjoyed the fire-pit and just sitting around the fire making s’mores and just hanging out. Would definitely rent this house again in the future.

Perfect for us!!

Gray home ! And location was close to all we needed House had a pool which the kids loved ! Beach was 10 min drive down. There was. Bbq ,fire pit and great view! Will stay here again !

Fun house with lots to do.

The house is great for family vacations, with plenty of beds and bathrooms, a beautiful deck, and an inground pool! Long Beach Island with all its entertainment is just minutes away.
