A Home with History & Personality!

Built by our grandparents in the 1970s, Rock Castle has been our family’s gathering place for decades. It still holds its original quirky charm—think red shag carpet upstairs & mustard kitchen counters—mixed with modern comforts.

Downstairs:
Box Bedroom - cozy queen bed built into the wall + a sitting area, with a full bath next door

Upstairs:
Yellow Room – sunny space with two twin beds, kids’ books & toys
Guest Room – queen bed + balcony access
Primary Suite – antique queen bed, stunning mountain views, & sliding glass doors to the balcony

WiFi & Entertainment
DSL WiFi available – can be spotty and slower than we're all used to, but it is usually decent for streaming (phone hotspots help!)
Two 32” Smart TVs upstairs with a DVD/VCR + a fun selection of 80s & 90s movies
Tons of books to browse
Non-smart TV in the kitchen with a digital antenna for a few local channels

Cooling & Heat
No AC, but the high elevation + mountain breezes keep it cool
Plenty of fans for warmer days
Electric ceiling heating in each bedroom
Giant fireplace in the living room for cozy nights

For the Kids
A magical place to explore! But it's not childproofed- ex: stairs, balconies, outlets, & mountains too!
Spacious twin bedroom with lots of play space, books & toys
A whole mountain top worth of adventure and a couple of fun swings!


Pet-Friendly
Well-behaved, house-trained dogs welcome!
No fenced yard, so please keep an eye on wanderers!
Crate requested if leaving pups alone
Furniture covers are provided for snuggle-loving dogs

Wildlife & Critters
You might get lucky enough to see butterflies, deer, foxes, wild turkeys, skinks, skunks, lots of birds & maybe even a bear or a bobcat!
We do our best to keep bugs outside, but it’s possible you may cross paths with something small that makes it in.
