Piney Creek Township is a small, friendly, scenic and remote town of about 1,000 people located in Alleghany County, North Carolina. Located about one hour from Boone, NC, Piney Creek offers peaceful living coupled with an abundance of nature's best. Visiting Piney Creek offers a mix of rural and suburban living, with the nearby towns like Sparta, Galax, and West Jefferson close enough to offer attractive nightlife, shopping, crafts, and dining options within a 30 minute drive.

The gated community of River Country Estates offers the best of the mountains, with scenic sunrises/sunsets, New River access, fishing, solitude, friendly neighbors, hiking and walking trails, and beautiful wildlife to observe right outside of your window!

Cannot wait to return!

This was an idyllic setting with picturesque views of the Blue Ridge mountains! The house is tucked away in a beautiful, remote, and quiet gated community with friendly neighbors and nature galore! The hosts left no stone unturned. The home appears newly renovated with granite counters and stainless steel appliances. They left ample supplies for us upon check in: coffee, creamer, sugar, dishwasher and washer machine pods, towels, linens, wood for fireplace, outdoor grill, hiking sticks, board games... We almost did. not want to leave the wraparound porch and rocking chairs, but the outdoors beckoned. The house is within walking distance to the New River at the end of the neighborhood - a must see! This will definitely be on our return list!

Hale Mauna translates to "Mountain Home" in Hawaiian and we have enjoyed the beautiful sunrises and sunsets that are received each day as a reminder of the beauty all around.
