We had a 10 out of 10 stay. The unit has everything you need, was very well-maintained and clean, and so comfortable after a long day of skiing. Would definitely stay here again!

Everything you need in a great location

The house was beautifully decorated and thoughtfully furnished. The property is awesome with a creek lining the backyard and 3 decks to enjoy the outdoors. Very convenient drive to Boyne Mountain too.

Perfect Family Space with Great Access

Stayed with some family members and this place was perfect! Really enjoyed the layout and look of the space and backyard was very pretty with creek running through. Great access to Boyne Mountain and Boyne City, and Petoskey is also very accessible with just a slightly longer drive. Communication with property manager was great and check-in was no problem. Would definitely stay again!

Family Getaway

We were very happy with our stay at Creekside Cottage. The house was very clean, kitchen well-appointed, and the bedrooms were very comfortable. We had a rainy day, which could be a bit of a disaster with 5 boys 12 and under. The living room was very comfortable for a movie marathon on streaming services. We will definitely be looking for this property again on future vacations!

THE BEST

Superb!! Out of all the properties we have rented in Michigan and Wisconsin, this one was the best!! The remodeling gave the home such a great feel!! The property was huge and wooded with so much space for outdoor fun!! The location was great, and communication with Helena was very prompt!! We will be back again!!

Hundred-Acre Cottage!

Our family of 4 usually vacations at my in-laws’ cottage, but this summer it was under construction and unavailable. We decided to rent Helena’s cottage since it was near our usual spot…I’m so glad we did! It had all of the comforts of home, alongside a beautiful wooded setting. We referred to it all week long as “the Hundred-Acre cottage” because it was quiet and beautiful, and we often saw deer/bunnies/even cats along the creek. It was so peaceful to eat outside, watch our kids play and nature watch, and of course do cozy campfires. Our kids loved it! As a mom, I really appreciated that the kitchen was fully stocked (it even has a crockpot and blender!), the laundry was on-site, and there was lots of extra blankets and pillows for whoever needed something. The bunk bed room also has a pull-out trundle bed, and our kids loved taking turns on it throughout the week. Helena was a great host and very prompt with communicating. We would definitely return!

A great stay in Northern Michigan!

We had a great time staying at this property for 5 nights. We had a mixed group of grandparents, adults, younger children, and a baby. Th kitchen was well supplied with items for cooking. The bedrooms were nicely arranged and the beds were comfortable ( the master bed was a king with a memory foam mattress that was a little firm for my wife’s preference but great for me). The yard was large enough to keep the 4 and 6 year old engaged. The creek on the property was pleasant and seemed safe enough until we had a major rainfall, turning it into a torrent that caused me some concerns for the kids playing near it. Location was good: near Boyne City but not in it. traverse City area and Mackinaw are both slightly over an hour away. Petoskey and Charlevoix are closer. Boyne Mountina is 10-15 minutes from here so we also visited the Skybridge. The nearby Whiting County Park has a great swimming beach for all. Never was overly crowded, water shallow enough for the kids to play safely, beach sandy and large enough for sand castles. Quibbles with the listing: -The back deck does not have a gas grill; it is a gas griddle so burgers are OK but grilling chicken or steaks is not really an option. -TV said to have cable service, which we could never get to work for either local or major network channels. The Samsung streaming service works but the stream was a little glitchy at times.Other major streaming services are available if you use your login credentials. -Buy firewood for fire pii

Perfect place!!

This was a perfect place to stay on our family vacation! The place was very clean and communication withe the owner was very prompt. It was nice waking up and seeing the creek flowing behind the cottage. Will book again in the future and recommend to anybody that wants to stay in the area!!!

Simple and Cozy

This home was perfect for our family, my husband, our four young children and their grandparents were spending time exploring Michigan. This home was perfect for us, from the open floor plan to the comfortable bedrooms, reclining sofas and INCREDIBLY clean!! Our host was great and if we ever make it back through the area we hope to be able to stay here again! Thank you again for the fantastic accommodations!

Central Charlevoix retreat

Great renovated, updated property, plenty of room for everyone. Short drive and $3 ferry to Charlevoix. Close to Boyne City. Great base to go out and explore places and come back to relax.

New and clean! This is a quiet home located just minutes from Boyne City and just a few steps from beautiful Lake Charlevoix. Excellent family vacation spot with so much to offer. Great for boaters, golfers, hikers and bikers! Enjoy the large fire pit and picnic table and platform deck overlooking the creek. Enjoy provided yard games in the large yard along with spacious deck and bbq grill. There is plenty of sleeping room with additional trundle beds in two of the bedrooms. New and very comfortable mattresses. The Point restaurant at Sommerset Marina is just a very short walk. Downtown Boyne City is just over a 3 mile drive, Ironton ferry and East Jordan 5-10 minute drive. Petoskey and Charlevoix 20-30 minutes. Enjoy Boyne Mountain resort which is 10-15 minutes away with out paying the resort prices. Boyne offers skiing, golfing, tubing, water park, zip lining, tennis, mountain biking, spa and great dining options.

This home is on a fantastic large lot in Advance between Boyne City and East Jordan. We love watching and listening to the fish jump in the creek in the summer and fall. It's a very private and tranquil setting but yet you can be in downtown Boyne City in 5 minutes and enjoying great restaurants, shopping and Friday night stroll the streets. Very convenient to keep your boat in one of two local marinas within walking distance.
