Updated home with views near downtown Durango - Hot Tub, AC & Yard

Our single level home features 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in Durango just 1.5 miles from the historic Downtown Durango and and 24 miles (25 minutes) from Purgatory ski area.

Note the home is the top 2 floors of a 3 story home with its own separate entrance and stairs are required to access the home from the outside. The hot tub, grill and deck are private for this home only. The owners live in the middle floor and have their own entrance. There is plenty of off street parking right in front of the entrance. The home has all of the expected amenities of a short term rental including washer/dryer, AC, fast WIFI, fully stocked kitchen and even a private hot tub etc.

Master Bedroom - King with TV and Ensuite Bath
2nd Bedroom - Queen
3rd Bedroom - Bunk bed (Single over Single)

Our home is NOT pet friendly due to severe allergies. This includes service animals in accordance with ADA standards and compliance restrictions related to severe allergies.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

We loved our stay at this cozy cabin feel home! We were gone most of the day, but when we came back to this warm and cozy and beautifully updated cabin, it made our stay that much better. After a long day it was nice to relax in the hot tub under the stars. We brought our boys (3yrs and 5yrs old) for the Polar Express. And they loved hearing the train whistle while sitting in the hot tub. Would stay here again!

Review

Lovely home in a beautiful setting. Very clean and with plenty of supplies to get us started. The kids loved the playhouse in the backyard. It took us a while to get used to using the fan/open windows because of no air conditioning but were very comfortable for the most part. We would stay there again.

Spring Break ski vacation

The O’Reillys have such a wonderful home and it was perfect for our spring break ski vacation. They were so warm and welcoming. The property was clean well equipped and perfect for our spring break getaway. We enjoyed our cozy evenings, relaxing after dinner and a long day of skiing.

2 couples were very comfortable here. Quiet & clean. The 2nd bathroom was not ensuite, but across the unit and next to the Master (which has its own lovely ensui bath) ensuite

Shared home with private floor, hot in July

The people who own this home are very nice, but we felt that the listing should have called out the areas that are shared (I.e., washer / dryer is on the bottom level and not in the unit, the hot tub, the grill). However, the biggest problem is that there really isn’t traditional air conditioning on the level the vacation rental is — just two fan units located in closets of two of the three bedrooms. We stayed for four nights/three days in July and specifically only looked at properties with AC; I don’t think this one should claim AC because it was over 80 degrees in the afternoon the days we were there in the main living area despite the units being on “high cool”. Despite reading the listing, I somehow missed that it was a single level of a shared home where the owners live on one floor, they have a family renting the bottom floor and have this vacation rental on the to floor. Now that I read the listing, I see it says that it is a single level of a home so that is my fault for being surprised that it is shared. The home itself is pretty tired. So many things about it were just the bare minimum. Barely enough seating in the living room for the five of us (one chair was broken when we arrived), not enough towels in the unit (used a hot tub towel from the basket in the shared entry), beds old and creaky. Again, the people who own this, who we met, are nice, but would not recommend this unit to future travelers, particularly in the hot months of July/August.

Amazing House and Amazing Host

We loved our stay at this great house, but honestly the host was even more amazing. He was so kind and thoughtful in caring for our group, I'm very thankful. I would strongly recommend this VRBO to anyone visiting the Durango area

Great home away from home.

Our family of 6 spent 4 days at this lovely rental. It was spacious, clean, quiet and had everything we needed. The beds are very comfortable and the towels were nice and fluffy. We ran into the owners and they are super nice and friendly. We enjoyed talking with them about Durango and all that it has to offer. We would definately stay here again!!

Beautiful home in great location

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. The beds were comfortable and the small kitchen was very well appointed. We enjoyed sitting on the porch, watching the aspen leaves flutter in the breeze after a day of leaf peeping in the mountains.

We especially appreciated the basket of snacks and all the perks, I believe there was coffee, cream and orange juice. The only part that was a little weird was when we went into the hot tub the owners were in the kitchen which has a window that looks out onto the hot tub. It felt like we were intruding on their personal space. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay.
