The Treetop House Pet Friendly

This lovely, spacious Pet Friendly home is perfect for a quiet respite from the busy life. It is situated in a quaint, sunny neighborhood on Lodge Hill, with views of the Santa Lucia mountain range. Watch the moon rise over the mountains, enjoy a relaxing cup of tea and a good book in the back yard, beautifully landscaped with a firepit, rambling pathways, and charming play house for the little ones. The Main House offers 2 bedrooms: King in the Master Bed, Bunk bed with trundle in the guest bedroom, and a loft with a full sized pullout couch , 1 full bath, full kitchen, living, & dining room to accommodate your group of 6 guests. The in-law quarters can accommodate an additional 2 guests and has one King bed, gas fireplace, a kitchenette and full bath.
So much to do within a short distance, town is just across the Highway, with fabulous restaurants, art museums, local crafts stores, and elegant specialty shops. Harmony Cellar's is 3 miles south serving great local wine, and don't forget to visit the Pottery & glass blower shops. Hearst Castle and the Elephant Seal sanctuary are a few miles north. And after it all, sit in front of a fire and enjoy a glass of our local wines. So much to do, enjoy, return to time and again.

The location could not be better. Quite neighborhood with acess to the hiking reserve and ocean bluff. Lived the decks on the house and cedar wood walls and ceiling. Really charming and family friendly.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wonderful 4-day family experience! The home was large enough for everyone to spread out comfortably. Everything was very clean with a well-stocked kitchen. The check in and check out process was so simple. We lived the ocean and sunset views from the balcony, frequent sightings of wild turkey and deer, and the easy access to the dialing preserve. Just step outside to the left and walk to the end of the block and you are at the entrance.

Lovely Home Close to Fiscalini Preserve

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Treetop House is a spacious and well appointed home, with the added bonus of being close to the walking trails of Fiscalini Ranch, both the upland forested trails and the lower bluff top trails. It is also easy driving distance to the village and all of its delightful shops and restaurants. The upper main house has two comfortable bedrooms and access via a flight of stairs to the large fully fenced backyard which makes it great for folks traveling with their dogs. There is also a smaller, studio-like home on the lower level with a small kitchen and a comfortable king sized bed. In both dwellings there is laminate flooring with no carpeting or area rugs. While this certainly helps with keeping the place clean for folks with pets, I would caution that elderly pets may find the floors slippery and hard to walk on. Also, the wooden stairs going down from the upper house to the backyard are steep and were difficult for our elderly dogs to navigate safely, so we chose to stay in the lower unit. I want to emphasize that this is a lovely rental and I so appreciate the owners offering it for rent and for making it pet friendly. I would just caution that accessibility may be an issue for elderly pets with mobility issues. (Also for humans with mobility issues with respect to the upper unit).

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a fabulous location, just steps away from the forest in the Fiscalini Reserve. We enjoyed wonderful weather, beautiful sunsets, deer (and turkey!) sitings, bike rides and the visits to town. It was great having a huge, completely fenced backyard for our dog. The house is spacious, beds comfy, and the decks are great places to relax. The furnishings are a bit sparse, particularly in the downstairs apartment, and there were a few inconveniences - many electric outlets were not functioning, for example - but by and large this was a great place and we would be blessed to return sometime in the future!

Cambria family vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was very good. House was more worn than pictures portrayed. Beds were comfortable, but outside apartment was awkward because there was no access from inside the house, which seemed to isolate anyway who stayed in the apartment. Keys did not work in locks on all doors except kitchen door at top of back stairs and front entry into bottom apartment. All locks need to be replaced for safety reasons. I would recommend the house based on location only, but I would warn a friend that the house is worn and needs maintenance improvements.

Loved the property, big enough for our family; human and furry! The deck and outside property is relaxing and beautiful. Walking distance to Fiscalini Preserve and deer families wander the neighborhood! Plenty of parking and so close to many beach towns!!!! Great vacation with beautiful weather!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very pleasant stay in the pines. Large comfortable house with a rustic feel. Furniture is comfortable, kitchen reasonably well stocked with utensils, pots pans, etc. The property is fenced so our dog could run free.. lots of decks for sitting outdoors. Easy walk to the Ranch trails. FYI- the main floor of the house is upstairs and only accessible with exterior stairs. The ground floor has the garage and in-law suite, which is essentially a large studio apartment. Good setup to separate couples or kids.

Fabulous Stay at the Treetop

Our family get together at the Treetop House in Cambria was perfect! The Treetop house is very well appointed - plenty of towels, kitchenware, paper products, etc., and the master bed mattress is a dream. The house is stunning - warm wood and tile, decks and stunning sunsets, and a beautiful fenced in yard for our pup with trees and succulents. Check-in was seamless, and excellent written communication was provided by Scenic Coast Property Management. And EXTRA thanks to them for taking extra time to kindly mail us some expensive items that we mistakenly left behind. Cambria is a little gem, and our time spent exploring it while saying at the Treetop House are memories we will cherish. Thank you.

We had a wonderful time staying at this cabin in Cambria! The location is perfect, just a 5-7 minute drive from downtown, making it easy to explore the area while enjoying some peace and quiet. The cabin itself has a charming, wooden, cabin-like vibe that made for a super relaxing atmosphere.Pros:The space is large enough for our entire family to spread out comfortably. There was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy.The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook meals, which was really convenient for us.For anyone traveling with pets, thereā€™s a generous outdoor area where our dog had lots of space to explore and enjoy the fresh air.Cons:The first floor felt a bit disconnected from the main living space upstairs. Depending on your preference, this could be a pro for some, but it made it feel a little less cohesive for our group.Thereā€™s only one bathroom upstairs and one downstairs, which wasn't a huge issue for us but could be a bit tricky for larger groups or families.Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend this cabin to others looking for a peaceful getaway near Cambria!

Lovely relaxing stay

We had a wonderful girl's weekend at this lovely vacation property. It was very clean and cozy. Very close to town, hikes, and the beautiful coastline. Lots of parking, storage, and kitchen space. Our only complaint would be the lighting. There are no overhead lights and it's very hard to see at night in the house. The master is exceptionally dark.

Reviewer Comments: The location is great, short walking distance to Fiscalini ranch preserve, ocean and town. In a quiet, well maintained neighborhood. The house was very clean except there were spiders inside (given the surroundings, itā€™s nornal but be aware). The oven didnā€™t work, maintenance confirmed it but never got back to us or fixed it. We had to come up with alternate ways to cook our food. The dishwasher was an issue the first 2 days creating a white film on everything. It took quite a long time to clean the dishes by hand and figure out the problem (which was laundry detergent was mixed in with the dishwashing pods). The TV was difficult to work, had to figure out how to make the sound come on etc. Not a lot of basics in the kitchen (olive oil, seasonings etc).

Cabin in the Woods on the Beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been staying in Cambria for 26 years. This house is our favorite and to prove it, we stayed here for the second timein a row! The cabin setup makes it truly feel like a cabin in the woods on the beach! The fire pit is safely set up with a grill across the top like fire code restrictions requires to allow a fire to enjoy in the coolevenings. The wrap around balconies with seating provides an amazing view of the ocean to hear the sea birds and seals nearby, see the forest, and enjoy a morning cup of coffee in the beautiful Cambria country. A block away from a hiking trail through what we call the ā€œEnchanted Forestā€ where you can see the fog rolling in through the trees in the evening and enjoy the giant pinecones, amazing twisted and exotic looking trees, enjoy the foliage including wild blackberries, roses, and wooden hand made benches along the way. Down the hill that can be hiked or walked to, there is another coastal hiking trails with amazing views of the ocean, seals, and seabirds. Also there you can find the most amazing tidepooling and small private beaches to enjoy. The house includes an old fashioned wood burning stove fireplace to cozy up to on cold evenings, TVs in the bedroom and livingroom, bunkbeds, king bed, and a pull out couch bed on the upper level. The lower level is a separate unit for privacy and has a queen bed. All the beds are very comfortable and we sleep better in this house than we do at home. The kitchen is open and arranged perfectly so that everything is close for productivity. Lots of storage in pantry, closets, so plenty of space to put things aways so it feels tidy. All hard wood or tile flooring so its easy to clean up. Neighbors are wonderful! Both last year and this year, my husband went out to help one of the neighbors to carry something they were trying to carry that looked too heavy for them and both times we were thanked with gifts. Super amazingly nice people all over Cambria in general!!
