We're very surrised to see you post such a negative review for our property, which, as is evident, has never happened before on VRBO or any other site. I'd like to address a few of your comments: As you mentioned, the check in time on VRBO was incorrect, however we happily gave access to our home at the earlier time you requested without hesitation. After you initially left, you also mentioned that you and your guests had a wonderful stay and were discussing renting again in the future. Regarding the stain on the rug, you were the last guests in our home, and a urine scented spot was present on our living room rug that I am 100% certain was not there prior to your stay. We overlook many typical wear and tear in our home that we understand comes with renting, but something like a spot on a rug can be very costly to us as home owners and hosts. As I explained before, our cleaner had alerted me to the stain but being that I was out of town for work, I didn’t get a chance to address it property until several days after your departure. I apologize that it wasn't brought to your attention sooner. Through our text messages you suggested possibly your son could have had an accident, which is fine, accidents happen. Had you not provided me with that information, I would not have taken the conversation any further. In an effort to show our many wonderful renters that we always try to do the right thing, we have refunded the cleaning fee since you are clearly very upset. This is also an unpleasant part of hosting that we try to navigate as best as we can.
