Welcome to the Zilli family Villa beach house on Longboat Key. After using this 2,000 sf home for their own family vacations, the house was completely redecorated and stocked to offer all the comforts of home to our VRBO guests. A cool, beachy palette welcomes you to sit back and relax. The Zilli Villa is part of the Zilli Collection each with the Zilli touch of amazing view, decor, ( not typical wicker furniture, silly beach artifacts,40 year old flooring, 1 size fits all look.) We call it upscale coastal. The properties are more of a resort, 5 star hotel feel.

This Villa is a two bedroom/two bathroom light-filled, ocean front home located just 13 steps to the sand and 60 yards to the water. The interior has been professionally decorated in a cool palette of ocean colors.

Youā€™ll find everything you need on-site from free WIFI to dishes, linens, towels and even a few extras you may need for your stay like puzzles and soap. The nearby pool has a covered grilling area with picnic table overlooking the beach. There's plenty of room for bikes, a bike trailer and/or several vehicles. Hope to see you soon at one of my beautiful vacation homes. All you need is your bathing suit and a toothbrush.

We had a wonderful stay. Jim was always available and was on top of everything. Had books of recommendations. House couldnā€™t be in a better location. Wake up and see the Gulf with dolphins swimming while having your morning coffee is how every morning should start. House was great and held 2 families of 4 very comfortably. Pool was great and right next to the house. We felt like we were the only ones on the beach. Loved our stay and will definitely come again.

Our stay there was beyond wonderful. The house suggests that it was decorated by a professional. It is beautifully done. It is very spacious, the furniture is very comfortable and more than adequate. The sunset view from the property is spectacular and the beach view is available from many areas in the house. There are all the amenities that one can need. If I had to think hard about one thing that could change, it would be that there could be a brighter light in the Master bedroom for nighttime.Based on everything else, I would highly recommend this facility and give it the highest rating possible. I am grateful for having had the opportunity to spend time there, and hope to return for visits in the future.

Great location. Right on the beach. Wide open floor plan with glass across the entire back of the house giving a phenomenal view of the Gulf. Nice layout and set up for our family. Very clean. Itā€™s obvious the owner pays a lot of attention to the upkeep and maintenance. Last, but not least, close proximity to a Publix grocery store.

When you feel at home, but youā€™re on vacation

The rental was nothing less than exceptional, Jim made everything so easy, keeping us informed, giving suggestions of all his favorite places around town.The house was a true dream come true in paradise. Just steps to the sand, and a view you only see in movies. The inside of the house was decorated well, and very clean, Jim was even able to get us checked in early the day of arrival (we unfortunately were running behind due to our own issues though)The house was well furnished, and had a closet full of items to take to the beach. Jim even went above and beyond to make sure we had aCertain kind of beach chair in the house, and went as far as ordering new ones for us. Jim gets straight to the point when conversing with him making it easy to get answers without any time wasted, and his hospitality is some of the best Iā€™ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing.We had a great time, I would recommend this property to anyone, and if weā€™re ever in the area again we will definitely be staying with Jim again!

Jim Zilli grew up in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, area. He started coming to Longboat Key in the early 1980s and purchased the Villa as a family retreat in 2004. He chose this property as it was the perfect vacation property and is the only ocean-front standalone home in the area. It didnā€™t take long before he decided to make Longboat Key his year-round home. Since 2009, he has lived here full time and has gone on to purchase additional properties nearby including a nearby one-bedroom condo in January 2013. The Villa retains the elegantly appointed feel of a family home with all the upscale touches of an attractive, well-kept and much-loved property.

Jim is CEO in the familyā€™s Wisconsin on off-site catering special events business, so he has ample experience in hospitality. He finds great enjoyment and satisfaction helping guests have fantastic vacations in his properties ā€“ many of whom come back year after year. ā€œI have many families who I have gotten to know over the years and spent time, dining, golfing, helped them find realtors, and more,ā€ says Jim.

Clients have complimented Jimā€™s style as attentive and not pushy. They appreciate he will check in with them during their stay. He wants renters to know heā€™s there for them.

The most apparent reason Jim chose Longboat Key is the weather and beauty of this location, and the Villa located just steps from a world-class beach. Guests never run out of things to do, whether itā€™s enjoying the nightlife in nearby Sarasota or only collecting shells along the white sand beach. The weather provides just enough variety so that you wonā€™t be bored. Unlike other areas of Florida, Longboat Key is quiet, safe and has a small-town feel he enjoys. The area feels remote and natural, yet itā€™s easy to access with the Sarasota airport just 7 miles east of Sarasota or from Tampa, which is 40 minutes away.

One of Jimā€™s favorite things to do is golf, and (there are several world-class courses within a 20-minute drive). He also enjoys movies and recommends the annual film festival in Sarasota. He keeps a running list of the many, many things there are to do in the area - so whether you like to swim, sunbathe, walk the beach, golf, shop, or all of the above, Jimā€™s guests find plenty to keep themselves entertained. At the same time, the secluded location offers privacy and quiet, so if you, like most of us, need to catch up on rest while youā€™re here, you can fall asleep to nothing more than the gentle sound of the surf.
