This amazing, beachfront, 2 story home has an open floor plan that accommodates many guests and sleeps up to 10 people, with 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. You will love the dramatic beach and ocean views from the 1st floor living room, dining room, kitchen, and the hot tub! The 2nd floor living room has a wall of windows that are perfect for whale watching, star gazing, and enjoying beautiful sunsets. Spectacular views, a wood burning stove, a piano, a large front deck overlooking an expansive sandy beach, all provide the ultimate in peace and relaxation. Free WiFi, & tv/video game room, a billiard/air hockey/ foosball room, a gas grill, and collections of games, puzzles, CDs, DVDs, and more, for your enjoyment during your stay. Open the windows and listen to the waves, sleep to the rhythmic sound of the surf. Whether watching whales or waves, sunrises or our famous Oregon coast storms, this home is perfect for a family vacation or a romantic getaway.
*Sand Castle has an EV Charging station so that you can charge at your destination- not on the highway - making this destination a home away from home for you and your EV.

Sleeps up to 10 - 4 Bedrooms, 2 Kings (both Kings can be separated into 2 Twin beds with prior notice), 1 Queen, 1 Queen Sofa Sleeper, 1 Full Sofa Sleeper, 2 baths.
Vehicles: Licensed for 4 (strictly enforced- No street parking allowed)
Standard: 3 night minimum; Summer & Holidays: 3-4 night minimum.
*Each home is individually owned. Amenities and furnishings are subject to change at any time. Please contact our office with any questions.

Age Requirement: The primary registered guest must be at least 26 years of age. The majority of guests must be over 25, or children under adult supervision.

This home does not allow cat guests or other non-human, non-canine visitors. Dogs are welcome at this home but must be registered in advance and paid prior to arrival. This home has a 3-dog maximum occupancy! Pet Guests: One time $35+tax fee per dog. Pet fees are not included in the original reservation.

Highlights included; the deck with steps to the beach. The hot tub with a view of the ocean.Beds were just OK. in addition overall cleanliness was also only OK. Bathroom dwnstrair smelled of mold/mildueUnder “needs improvement”; the kitchen is not stocked, no staples such as sugar,flour etc to be found. Also kitchen equipment is limited for example kettle to boil water but no tea pot to make teaIn summary; although the views are fantastic the overall value for this house is not great, perhaps a strong 3 out of 5 stars

Sand Castle

The adults expressed that this was the best house we have rented and we have used vacation rentals several times. The view and beach access was spectacular and everything was clean and welcoming. For the two nights we were there the cost of renting was doubled with all of the added fees. That cost would have dropped significantly if we had stayed several more nights as fees would have been the same and there would have been only incremental increases of rent. We had to provide our own tp the second night as the unit did not have enough for 9 people. There was no dry wood for the fire place. First world problems easily fixed.

Wedding weekend

It’s was beautiful. Big enough for our small wedding to be held on the beach and enough space for our family. We enjoyed it! The house was beautiful and we’d love to make this a spot where we come to for anniversaries. 10/10

Beautiful Stay

This property is right on the beach. It is a beautiful place. It has a great dinner table that sat all 10 of us for games and meals. It was a very peaceful location and just a short drive to the downtown of Yachats.

Relaxing time with great ocean views and beach access

The house was the perfect size for 3 couples. We cooked, we ate, we played games and we walked on the beach. We appreciated the blue tooth speakers on both levels …. And the view from the upstairs living room is terrific!

Beautiful House and Beach

Great property and location. The property was well-maintained and clean. The only thing that would be nice is if the road was graded. Two of the small cars with the group dragged bottom a few times.

Living the beach life

House is very nice and right on the water. Game room and hot tub are great bonuses. Slept 8 easy, could have slept 2 more if needed.

Perfect Beach House

Our girls, 4yo and 7yo, talk about staying at The Sand Castle year round. (This is our second summer here.) The private stairway down to the beach is awesome and the beach is such a hidden gem that it feels like our own private beach. We can’t wait to go next year.

This place was perfect for our group. The location was perfect the house was so cute. The beach front & game room were the highlights of the trip & we read reviews ahead so we knew we needed spices etc for food.

Lovely beach house

More beautiful in person than the pictures. That never happens. We are all mostly short people and so we were disappointed that we couldn’t find a step stool to get into the top cabinets. The house is in a great location with a nice bit of privacy.

Great stay

This property had everything we could ask for! Private beach access, incredible views of the ocean, plenty of space and games in the garage! We had a great long weekend here with guests ranging in age from 2-70. Everyone was happy!

Best location

Great place to stay if you want ocean views all day long! We got to see a storm blow through and it was amazing watching the waves come up as far as the deck! A few things I would mention, there are no spices (I assume this is a COVID precaution), no coffee filters, and in the pictures you see two couches downstairs when there is only one. Overall, I would stay over and over!

A perfect getaway!

Beautiful house and location. We had a wonderful time. The towels/linens confused us at first, then we realized the laundry bags had all the clean ones. We would love to come back!

Pretty good place and location

We love the house and the location, just what we were expecting, the house has a beautiful view and my kids enjoyed the play room. The house was nice but it was a little dusty and it has a non pleasant smell, the bathrooms were a little moldy, and floors not too cleaned, other than that was a nice house.

Relaxation and privacy, right on the sand

Great beach house on a private drive with private beach access. The deck leads right out to the sand, with an expansive beach area to play on. The house itself is well equipped with almost everything you would need during your stay. The game room was a big hit with all the kids, who loved being able to play a variety of table games at their leisure. The decor is modern and light, and the beds were very comfortable. The house located between Yachts and Waldport, both of which offer stores and restaurants for any needs that arise.

Yachets is a Gem!

We booked with Sweethomes through VRBO. The initial Seal Rock property #1542594 was sold and became unavailable to us. The property manager as an alternative offered us Sand Castle at Yachats. The beach house itself was not great, but was very good. The home is clearly going through some updating, but is not yet all the way there. However we needed a dog friendly house and Sand Castle was, making it perfect for us. The location is all you could ask for. The home is located on a beautiful sandy beach that stretches in both directions for ever. We had a great time and would totally go back.

Needs some work

Love the location 1. dishwasher wasn’t bolted in. Very dangerous for little ones. 2. kitchen door was broken at the bottom with about 2 inches eaten away. 3. my dogs found a bra under the bed from previous guest. 4. the downstairs bath has been updated nicely although there is no light for the shower 5. not all blinds worked and some window screens were missing 6. no floor molding at kitchen bar. Was a great place to relax with private beach access! The fireplace was UGLY AND OLD. Not one I would want to use.
