Sunset Views on the Chincoteague Bay

Our family has loved staying on Chincoteague Island for years, and we are excited to be able to share our favorite destination with you! Our first floor unit is one of the biggest models in the complex, with 1800 square feet of living space. The kitchen, living room, and dining room are part of an open floor plan that allows for easy relaxation, visiting, and views of the Chincoteague Bay. The back patio is accessible from the living room and master bedroom and provides a quiet spot to watch the boats go by or to enjoy the sunset. The condo is along Main Street, which has many shops, restaurants, a park, and a movie theater, and is a short distance to Assateague Island where you can visit the ocean, watch the ponies, and enjoy the wildlife on the many hiking and biking trails. Our unit has new flooring and fresh paint throughout, and the condo complex has an outdoor pool and a gym. We look forward to helping you enjoy your stay on Chincoteague Island!

Beautiful home in a great location

This home was perfect for our long weekend with family. We had a group with 4 adults and 2 teens and had plenty of space. It was clean and comfortable. The location was within walking distance of restaurants and shops.

Stay in Chincoteague

Overall it was a very good experience. Lots of room for family and close by all the attractions. One thing the owner might want to add is how to use the TV and music systems.

Family Vacation

Our family has vacationed at Chincoteague Island for at least ten times. This, by far, was the best place where we stayed. The accommodations were excellent! We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this vacation and how relaxed and comfortable we were. I love the island, but staying at Sunset Bay made it even more enjoyable. Thank you for allowing us to rent your condo. We look forward to returning to the island and would love to stay at your condo again. Thank you!!

Chincoteague

We love chincoteague island and booked a last minute end of summer trip. My 2 girls ages 2 & 7 loved the island and staying at this beautiful condo. Everything was super clean and welcoming from the moment we checked in. Had no issues and wonderful weather. The pool was lots of fun and we were within walking distance to our favorite restaurant Ropewalk. Can not wait to come stay again.

Weekend getaway

We just returned from three wonderful nights. The condo is awesome and within walking distance to downtown. Stayed with my husband and 1 year old son. Recommend Bill's for breakfast and Woody's for lunch/dinner. Will stay again next year if available. Thank you!!!!!!

Good call on Bill's and Woody's. There is a gourmet deli in a little shack just off main street. On the left as you head north. Just past Don's Seafood. Limited outside seating but if you look down the alley there will be a line. It's called Sea Star. Easy to miss. Really good home made soups and deli sandwiches.

Wonderful!

The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and everything you would need was available in the condo. The pool could have been better maintained as there were many broken chairs and bird waste in the water but definitely didn’t affect our stay. Enjoying the bay views every morning and sunsets every evening was EVERYTHING! Thank you, Sara for the little gift! Would absolutely stay again.

Chincoteague 2020

This is our second time renting the same unit. We love the location, and we also love the unit itself. It’s spacious and has everything you can imagine you will need for your stay. We we extremely disappointed however, that we were not informed that the pool would not be open. We were really looking forward to enjoying the pool with our grandchildren... We also noticed that most places nearby had their pools open... had I known, we would not have stayed here this year. As much as we love it here, the pool is a big deal for the kids. Other than that, this place is perfect for us and we plan to continue staying here, we will make sure to confirm pool will be open! Thank you

We apologize for not confirming the pool would not be open. Being on the board of the HOA it was a decision I was involved in and agree that we should have made sure you were aware. I guess we were fixated on ensuring cleaning procedures and simply dealing with all the new normal. I will make recommendations to the board that we start planning now to be prepared to take steps to make sure we get the pool open next year. With the restrictions imposed by the state I'm not sure how other locations were able to open and comply. We will do our best.

A real gem!

The only way I’d be happier with this stay at this property is if the owner just handed me the keys to the place forever, free of charge. The booking process with the owners was smooth and hassle free. They are very communicative and responsive. Checkin couldn’t have been easier. The unit is staying at a friend’s place who knows how to decorate and keep a place nice. The unit is well appointed with anything you’d need. The couches and beds are comfy for relaxing. Everything seems very well maintained and that makes life so much easier. Location wise, you can walk in to town to get to most things like food, shops and attractions. Excellent, excellent experience.

Great family vacation

This was the 2nd year we stayed at this property. We loved the location and the luxurious interior. It was perfect for our 3 generation family. Pool was great. The whole experience was very relaxing.

Sisters Get Away

My sisters and I had a great visit to Chincoteague! Sara was outstanding to work with. The Condo is gorgeous, spacious and very nicely decorated! The deck overlooking the bay was by far our favorite! Beautiful sunset and there was always a lovely breeze, The condo had all the amenities we needed, it was very clean and the beds were comfy! We didn't use the pool, but I would think a family with young children would love that feature! I would highly recommend this condo!

Wonderful Long Weekend in Chincoteague!

This was the first trip I’ve ever booked with VRBO and our small group was blown away by this awesome property! It was very clean, beautifully designed and had everything we needed for an awesome first visit to Chincoteague Island. It truly felt like a home away from home! Sara was great to communicate with and we felt so welcome as her guests. The condo has a great view of the bay and is close to many downtown restaurants. It was very quiet and everyone we saw was very friendly. Our favorite part was sitting out on the patio and being close to the water. My husband uses an electric wheelchair and everything was very accessible for him. The only thing I would note for other wheelchair users is that the front door has a lip on it of about 2-3 inches but we used his portable one step ramp that we always have with us and it worked great. We would definitely book this property again! Thank you so much Sara and Steve!

Great condo!

Mother’s Day weekend getaway with my wife! Beautiful condo and great location. We had a great time biking around the island and would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Chincoteague.

Our kids have grown up coming to Chincoteague Island. It is one of our favorite places to visit and really feels like a second home. We love to visit and fish, surf, swim, and bike ride. It has been a calm and connecting place for our family.

After renting in Sunset Bay Villas for years, we decided we wanted to own a property here. It has been a welcoming community. We appreciate the communal amenities and love the water views and daily sunsets.
