Welcome to Sun Kissed West! This cozy, small dog friendly, Ft Morgan duplex beach cottage is the perfect, affordable choice for your gulf front vacation! The first thing you'll notice when you arrive is the new, expansive deck that will provide you with spectacular sunset views! Imagine yourself on one of the Polywood lounge chairs watching the sun sink below the horizon.

This adorable cottage has an open floor plan with comfortable seating area where you'll get more of that million-dollar view. You'll find counter stools for dining and a full kitchen for fixing simple meals. For those nights when you want to dine out, you can make the 15-minute scenic drive into town or try one of many tasty local options.

The master bedroom features a king bed where you can wake up to the amazing Gulf view. The second bedroom has a full bed and a twin over twin bunk. This home has one full bath and one-half bath. Guests really appreciate the convenience of having a house right on the beach. Returning for drink refills, snacks or quick nap takes just seconds.

Fort Morgan

Located a scenic 15 miles from Gulf Shores, you'll find everything you need close at hand. Dollar General and Sassy Bass Market are just a few miles away and have all the basics you might need. There are several restaurants nearby offering a variety of tasty dishes. Tacky Jack's, Sassy Bass (2 locations), Coast and brand-new Jesse's (opening soon) to name a few. Some venues even offer live, local entertainment.

Fort Morgan fishing pier is now open, and anglers will have access to convenient inshore fishing and the abundant species locally available.

Be sure and visit nearby Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge with over 7,000 acres of coastal habit. You'll be able to hike through the preserve and observe local flora and fauna. There are 4 trails, varying in size and terrain and you'll definitely want to make time to visit this natural oasis.

A Great stay

We had an absolutely lovely time at Fort Morgan and with my 3 and 11 year olds and my 66 year old father this was the perfect spot as it was nice and cozy and right on the beach. This is actually our second stay at this location and they have even updated the property since we first stayed 2 years ago. Hope to be back again!

Wonderful stay!

The property was just as advertised. It was very clean and modern and the arrival process was simple. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay with our 4 kids. The easy beach access was amazing and we enjoyed the outdoor shower area. The short drive to Gulf Shores popular destinations was also a plus. Would absolutely stay here again!

Perfect vacation spot

I have stayed at many many properties in Fort Morgan over the years on both the bay & beach side & this was by far my favorite on the beach side.. comfortable & completely equipped with everything you need in the perfect location. Will most definitely be back again!!

Gorgeous Location on Beach

Perfect location for a beach getaway, with a deck overlooking an incredible view. The property manager, Dee Dee, is very responsive and friendly and ensures the stay will be fantastic. Perfect vacation.

Wonderful

The house was excellent. Perfect location, clean. The only issue was that the air conditioner filter was filthy and it was never changed while we were there a week, otherwise we had a wonderful time.

Quick weekend getaway

Beautiful spot right on the beach. Some minor cosmetic issues. All in all we hope to book again in the future. Found two local restaurants within 5 minutes drive.

Perfect place to stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What a prefect place to stay! Cozy house right on the ocean. Every single experience we had with the rental agency as perfect! They kept me updated with texts and emails prior to our visit, checked to make sure all was ok when we checked in, and left us a number to reach out to if we had any questions while we were there. Check in couldn’t have been easier! The house was so clean and had everything we could need. To be able to go from the beach to the house so easily was nice. Local restaurants within a quick drive. We had the perfect vacation!

Not Happy with Condition of Property

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is in a great place but the property is falling apart and needs a complete over haul. I would not rent this place again. I never leave negative comments but I feel that this property needs to know that the condition needs improvement

Shocked & disappointed. We were told before our stay that it would be updated. Didn’t happen! We left a day early due to health and safety issues. The wiring under the house where we parked was open, exposed and mangled. The green mold growing next to it was scary and the AC filter in the house was filthy. The only skillet to cook on was worn out & the Teflon was peeling off of it. There were so many other issues that I won’t go into. The photo that convinced our stay on your webpage was deceiving. We will return to Fort Morgan beach in the future, but it will not be booked through VRBO. Shame on you!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay. My only complaints:1. Had to sweep up sand from living room when we got there first thing. I am sure it was as small as someone forgetting something and running on to get it and tracking sand in on their feet. But when you are told you cannot access property till a certain time because a cleaning crew has to clean first and then cannot walk barefoot in the unit on first entry because sand is all over, well that is annoying the first 5 minutes of your vacation. This was not just a little grit either. Otherwise spotless. 2. Not a complaint but an annoyance. Would be nice that if there is a gate at the top of the stairs as it did and was appreciated, that it had an appropriate way to keep it latched. There was a bungie chord which kept coming off when releases and was too stretched to try to tie on and then was too shorty. Had no tools so we could not bend one end around the hook to keep it on. The latter would be an easy fix for the next guest with pliers.3. If there was a third, what can you do about the whole vacation being over too **** fast?!!!We had a great time despite the weather.

Location is perfect! Absolutely gorgeous views and steps away from the sand. House has everything you could need but you won't be inside much at this location.Can't wait to return!
