This inviting two-bedroom, two-bath condo offers the perfect mountain escape. The open-concept floor plan features a spacious kitchen and living area, complete with a cozy fireplace—ideal for unwinding after a day of adventure. The bedrooms include one room with a queen bed and a second room with two twin beds, making it a comfortable retreat for families or friends.

The condo is well-appointed with updated appliances, comfortable furnishings, Wi-Fi, and a flat-screen TV to make you feel right at home. During ski season, you’ll love the convenience of being just a short 300-yard walk to the top of the Big Birch ski slope. The unit is also perched above a perfect sledding hill for winter fun.

Comfortable condo with a fabulous view

Very clean, comfortable and spacious condo. The balcony and view are fantastic. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the necessities to cook or order in. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean, quiet, good value

We enjoyed our easy stay at this condo. It was clean, very quiet, and well laid out for our family. The outdoor scenery was relaxing and it was nice to not have obstructing things of the mountain views. One of the toilets didn’t want to flush properly but we were fine to use the other one for our stay. Easy parking to/from parking spaces to the rooms. About a 7-8 minutes drive to / from Sugar’s slopes and this condo. Great stay!

Very nice stay

Excellent mountain view. Enjoyed our stay. We left the property in the same condition as it was rented out and we received our deposit money as promised. Please note if you are visiting the property in summer there is no AC. It was not mentioned in the description. I guess it is common among mountain properties. We were able to sleep with the window open and fan on. During daytime we were out on the roads, so it was not a big deal.

Sugar Mountain Stay

We arrived late and was able to pick up the keys as described in the welcome email. Once we turned onto Skyleaf drive, it was very hard to find the building, as it is not marked for night time viewing. Parking is available by the building but on a first come basis. There is overflow parking however it is not lit. Condo was clean and well stocked. While it was only my husband and I, it would be cramped to fit 4 adults. The 2nd bedroom is configured with 2 twin beds. Both bathrooms are the same size, small and dated with step in tubs. Master bedroom is small with a full size bed. Was not very comfortable. Location is great and views were great.

The View!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved our stay here. Clean and homey. The view is fabulous! We arrived after hours and info packet was waiting for us with no problem. Our first morning we discovered we had no hot water but rental company responded quickly and we were good to go in just a few minutes. Great location and an easy scenic drive to everywhere we went. We had an incredible trip with visits to Grandfather Mountain, Elk River Falls, Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster, The Blowing Rock, Linville Falls, and of course a drive down the Blue Ridge Parkway with a picnic lunch. We also got in 18 holes of disc golf at Ashe County Park. The High Country Disc Golf Course there was well maintained with beautiful views. We enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony every morning with that awesome view and loved being able to grill steaks one night and burgers another for dinner in. We had enjoyable meals out at The Pedalin' Pig, Bella's Italian, and Stick Boy Kitchen. Celebrating our 43rd Wedding Anniversary couldn't have been better. Can't wait to return!!

Sky leaf D14 NOT A KID FRIENDLY PLACE

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Not a kid friendly place. The fire place cover is not secured and comes off exposing the flame and gets super hot! The owners have a piece of paper giving information regarding the place and they mention the fire place cover gets super hot so they are well aware and still no protection. We were not able to use it and had to block it in order for our son not to harm himself.The sliding glass door does not lock, we informed the management company and nothing was done. Thank goodness my son wasn’t able to open it on his own! The water was shut off when we arrived. We were lucky the management team was still open and available to instruct us how to turn it on.There are stains on the bed linen. The location is good still a 15min drive to the resort if you are not able to locate the slope access which my husband was not able to find. There are no signs showing how to get there and according to the neighbors it’s a good 15min walk with your gear in the woods.The place is equipped with most things you need for your stay so that’s a positive. It looked like they also had games and movies for your usage as well.

The condo was perfect, very well-maintained and had everything you could need for a vacation stay, including a fully stocked kitchen and games for the kids. Beautiful views, as advertised. Incredible attention to detail on everything a family could need to enjoy their stay on Sugar and in the Blue Ridge area in general, including local restaurants, breweries, hikes and other activities. We will be back!

Great getaway!

What a phenomenal view! We really enjoyed staying in this 2 bedroom condo. The after hours check in was easy and it’s a great location close to Grandfather Mountain and Banner Elk.

Just as expected

My wife and I decided to stay in this charming condominium over the recent Labor Day holiday. upon arrival, the check-in process was flawless and all of the information that we needed was provided for a late check in. this unit is very well appointed, comfortable, and in a prime location for accessing all of the attractions in the area. The views from the den and the master bedroom are breathtaking. We didn’t need anything that the condominium did not provide. We will definitely be back and look to rent this unit again.

Good location. Beautiful view.

Truly a beautiful view from the balcony. Cozy and clean with a well stocked kitchen. Unfortunately, there was a boarded up broken window in one bedroom. It was very windy the first night and I had trouble sleeping through the noise this made. I wish they had at least warned us of the situation. Of note, there is not a washer/dryer in the unit. You have to go to the laundry room in the building across the street. I did not see this stated on the listing and wish I had known in advance. The washers and dryers are free and they do provide laundry baskets which was helpful.

Great location, super clean unit

Situated just up the hill from Sugar Mtn., this condo was perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 sixteen year olds). The unit is very clean (one of the cleanest VRBOs I’ve rented) and well-equipped with everything you need. The beds are comfortable the linens very nice. We did not notice any odor on the pillows or comforters mentioned by a previous renter. The view of Table Rock and the surrounding area was lovely. The 300 yard walk to the slopes isn’t really feasible with ski boots and equipment since the trail takes you down a steep hill through the woods. We chose to drive instead. We enjoyed every minute of this condo and would rent it again.

It was a very quiet and peaceful area around the condo. The condo also held its heat well which was great for the cold nights. Parking was relatively easy and convenient. My only complaint is that they duvet in addition to the pillows are old and have a strong smell. It may be best that the owner replace them in the near future.

Beautiful view easy access to ski

Loved our cozy stay in the mountains! The kids really loved the sledding hill behind your condo. The views at sunset were so beautiful and we were lucky with gorgeous fresh snow & fun skiing at Sugar mountain. Best snow weekend!
