This updated fourth floor 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom condo sleeps 4 with a king bed and a queen sleeper sofa. It features a private balcony with outdoor seating overlooking the Dakota Lodge pool and hot tub area and incredible slope views beyond that. Plus an updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and hardwood flooring. This vacation rental is centrally located in River Run Village so youā€™re just steps away from shopping, restaurants and festivities. Plus, you're a short walk from the high-speed gondola. Dakota Lodge offers shared amenities including the largest pool in Keystone with slope views and two oversized hot tubs. The complex is also right next to Dercum Square which features an ice rink during winter and a mini golf course during the summer.

The entryway has mounted hooks and a bench for your convenience while coming and going throughout the day. The living area features a beautiful gas fireplace, a flat screen TV and a queen-size sleeper sofa. Extra linens are in a closet. The private balcony is just off of the living area and features beautiful slope views to the south.

The full-sized kitchen is stocked with all the essential cookware and tableware to make a meal away from home and features granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and hardwood floors. The dining area comfortably seats four across a beautiful wooden high-top dining table.

The bedroom features a king-sized bed on our Ivory White Bedding program, a mounted flat screen TV, full-size mirror and closet for storage. The full bathroom is just across the hall and has a pedestal sink and shower/tub combination. The bathroom comes stocked with towels and an initial supply of toiletries.

Unit was clean and neat. Windows in living room would only open part way (unit was warm inside on arrival). Kitchen was good, ice maker in freezer worked well. Had one morning where hot water for shower was a little slow in coming. Bed was comfortable!Very easy access to River Run Village and easy parking in garage underneath building. Hot tubs were great! Had one day where the elevator wasn't working for a few hours but all good after that.

The pool and hot tub is located directly beneath the unit and can be noisy, however, it is closed down by management at 10pm. This was no bother to us but something to keep in mind. The property is very nice. A couple of things to note: 1 ) There is no air conditioning, so the windows need to be open. There is construction of new townhouses nearby so it is noisy. 2) Check out is quite early, 10:00 am.

Management should notify owners who could then let people know of the issue before booking. Super great accommodations other than that.

Super convenient and cozy!

First of all, property management was really helpful when I thought I might need a late checkout. Communication was great the throughout my stay. This property is on the 3rd floor of Dakota Lodge and itā€™s within a 5 minute walk to the River Run Gondola. The hot tubs and pool are a quick walk downstairs. No need to walk around to the elevator when the stairway is right outside the front door. The full kitchen allowed me to bring my own food and save some money. The living room area was really great after a long day on the slopes. The fireplace and giant smart tv with Netflix were nice treats. Everything was comfortable and cozy. And thereā€™s a balcony! Only 1 complaint. The enamel on the toilet seat is worn and the wood is showing through. Please replace. Overall, I give the place a 9/10. I would definitely return.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay at Dakota #8522. The unit is updated and does not feel tramped for a one bedroom condo. Master bed is very comfortable. The 4th floor provides a nice view of slopes but the one elevator can be slow (used stairs many times). Dakota lodge has a great location (near gondola, ski rental, village, ice rink) and has convenient pool/hot tubs and ski lockers. PM did a good job cleaning unit prior to our stay. We would stay here again!

Easy place to stay in keystone

The unit was nice, clean, and located in the middle of river run, so if you want to ski/snowboard it's easy access. The only gripes I had were the whole unit reeked of air freshener and it gave us a headache when walked in. Additionally, the garage parking is 7.5ft and my vehicle would not fit. This was not listed under the description and I had to pay $25/night to park my vehicle in a lot across the street. Not ideal.

VACATION RENTALS VS. HOTELS
Booking a vacation rental is like staying at the house of a friend. In this vacation rental you will experience significantly more space, privacy, or comforts that feel like home, including a kitchen and a location that is beyond what most hotels can offer. All this at a significantly lower cost than a hotel with comparable features. These benefits bring different considerations than a hotel. More privacy means that most guests do not want daily housekeeping. We offer a check-out clean and, for an added fee, mid-stay cleans. We also offer a starter supply of some consumables, including coffee, paper towels, toilet paper and more, but these items are not restocked during a stay. A kitchen allows you to make home-cooked meals. Guests will likely visit the store to purchase groceries. Self-sufficiency is key to a happy stay in a vacation rental. We do provide housekeeping and 24/7 maintenance, but this is primarily for properties in between stays. Our staff services vacation rentals across several square miles, unlike a hotel that manages a single building. We have to strike a balance between cost and service, and have found that our current system has struck this balance. Our hope is that our guests understand the difference between booking a hotel and a vacation rental. Together we can provide affordable vacation rentals and happy stays for everyone!
