From the beginning the communication with the owners was excellent. They provided a comprehensive guide to the area and detailed instructions on how to access entry. It had snowed prior to our arrival however the driveway was plowed and walkway was salted. The house lost power overnight however we were toasty thanks to having a generator kick in automatically. The house was equipped with a gas stove so we were still able to make breakfast before hitting the slopes.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Peace Cottage! The location was wonderful and so peaceful. The space was perfect for our family of 4. Our host was wonderful and so gracious.

The host was kind, easy to communicate with, and accessible both before and during our stay. The location of the property was just a short drive to Woodstock, which was very convenient. However, the house itself was not very clean which made our stay uncomfortable. There were cobwebs, dust, and pet dander. We couldn’t use the tea kettle as there was standing water in it and what appeared to be mold. There was no couch to sit on in the living room, just a bed-like piece of furniture. And though it was on a busy road, the large windows and sliding doors had no blinds. Despite the location, we wouldn’t stay here again.

We loved staying at the cabin with our dogs, a puppy and an older dog. The property is fenced in so we felt safe playing with them in the autumn leaves. The kitchen was also extremely comfortable to cook in, and the hosts were welcoming and communicative (and very sweet about our dogs!)

We were on a weekend getaway celebrating our friend’s birthday. She loves the Woodstock vibe and has never been. This location is a perfect location for a short drive to shops in the cultural area of Tinker street. Nidhi was very responsive with our communications. She is very creative and has some very unique and zen items to make you feel at home in the Peace Cottage. I have added some amazing photos taken from the back deck

The property is lovely and it is very peaceful and relaxing. The cottage itself wasn’t as clean or well stocked as I expected given the listing. No cooking oil, no pan that fits in the toaster oven, kitchen soap smelled super strongly of chemicals, mold on the shower curtain, the outdoor seating has seen better days. There’s a difference between rustic and run down and this place was leaning towards the later. The host was very quick to respond to our needs and very accommodating and friendly. Overall we had a good experience but wouldn’t stay here again.

The name says it all!

PEACE...That's exactly what my Wife and I were seeking after a challenging several months, both personally and professionally. This magical cottage was exactly the panacea our souls needed. We could not recommend it more!

A Peaceful streamside Paradise in the Catskills

Rustic mountain look on the outside with meticulous design on the inside. Spacious outside deck looking over the rushing stream as bald eagles fly overhead. Lots of privacy for your family or friends. Highly recommend Peace Cottage for your vacation.

Peace cottage stay

My partner and I came up to escape Brooklyn for a bit and had a wonderful stay. We would have loved to have a grill in good condition and there’s a few holes in the chicken wire fence that could easily be mended for a better experience with dogs, but otherwise we really enjoyed the house and the sound of the stream is lovely and healing.

Absolutely lives up to its name

I can’t say enough good things about peace cottage. It was exactly what we needed for a short ski getaway in a beautiful location. The home is a very funky and fun and eclectically decorated peaceful and cozy place to spend a night or a couple nights. Excellent communication from the owner and very well stocked with everything you would need super happy with this place. You can tell the owner put tons of thought into this home and it shows. Absolutely would come back again.

Great getaway

The cottage was perfect for a low key weekend away. It may not be fancy but it has everything you need. The surrounding area was beautiful for walking or a drive around.

Willow Stay

Perfect weekend getaway! The location was perfect, the house clean and cute. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout! We had a great time playing the board games and just hanging in the yard and by the stream. Would definitely come back!

Peaceful stay at Peace Cottage!

I came for the weekend with a friend and we had a wonderful time. The property is beautiful and the house is lovely. It is clean and comfortable. Nidhi and John were very responsive and helpful. The location is great, not too far from anything but remote enough that it is quiet and the stars can be seen on full display. I hope to be back again soon!

Getaway

My sister came up from Florida to visit me in PA and I thought it would be nice to head to the mountains in NY for a short getaway. We absolutely loved the Peace Cottage from the moment we pulled into the driveway. Just a perfect oasis for our little trip! Will definitely return!
