Thank you for your stay. The hot tub is filled with well water so the sand is from that. Nothing of concern. Just how it is in the north woods. I looked and couldn’t find a broken fan so you might need to share a little more about what was broken. Everything checked out ok on my end. Sorry to hear about the garbage. Our garbage day is once a week so sometimes if we get multiple guests in the property during a week it gets a little full, but we do our best to keep it down. Thank you again.

Before I respond directly to her review, please be aware that this guest attempted to cancel their reservation within the non-refundable timeframe and when I stated I was unable to offer a refund, she requested to change the dates of their stay which I was fine with. Please view this guest’s review through that lens. Regarding the condition of the property, I’m disappointed to hear of your concerns as you mentioned none of this during your stay with us. I just checked the windows and they do in fact open (those that are operational to open). It’s an older cabin so it may take a little push, but they do open. I did not see any blankets with dust on them but note all linens are washed after use. I am not sure what you were referring to regarding the activity area, there’s a picture in the profile, it’s right down the little walk way. It’s no football field but it’s perfect for yard games, etc. Regarding the dishes, We are on Well-water up here in the north country so sometimes the dishes get a little chalky, but they are clean. If that’s what you’re referring to. You weren’t specific. I will look into stocking wood for guests. Most guests find wood in the forest right next to the fire ring but I have considered this in the past. There are matches in the cabin. Sorry again you only had a 3 star stay with us as most don’t seem to have the issues you did. Best of luck and thanks again.
