Located bay block on scenic, peaceful, and relaxing Broadkill Beach! This home has so much to offer a family looking to get away from the hustle of life. Three levels of spacious living including a large deck to enjoy the days and nights in this undisturbed area.

The ground floor has an awesome hang out/family room area that now has a video gaming console, ring toss, chess board and a foosball table. This is the perfect place to come in from the beach and relax with your friends and family! There's also a separate bedroom and bathroom on this level.

The second level includes a large and beautiful chefs kitchen with updated countertops, flooring, and appliances. There's also a beautiful living and dining area directly off the kitchen with tons of natural light. Oh, and one of the best features on this level is the LARGE deck off the living/dining area. This is the perfect spot for family's and friends to gather and BBQ after a long day on the beach - this is what vacation is all about! There are also 2 bedrooms on this level that share a hall bath.

The third level feels like a private getaway in and of itself. The entire level is a large primary suite featuring a king bed and private bath.

This is a terrific area for the nature lover. Truly a bird watchers paradise, and a fisherman's dream. Guests will also enjoy the fenced in back-yard, which is the perfect place to play with your dog while on vacation! Book today and start making memories with the ones you love!

Pet friendly! First pet stays for free. There will be a $200 fee for each additional pet. Dogs only- 3 pet maximum.

The house was just as advertised. Beautiful, spacious, and just a few homes down from the beach. It was the perfect anniversary staycation for our family and the best added bonus of the fenced in yard to bring our dog!

It was nice, but not as clean as we would hope. One bed had Cheerios in it. And we found 3 large pieces of broken glass under one of the chairs in the living room. We had a 3 year old with us and that could have turned out bad if he had found them. The stairs needed swept and the bathrooms needed wiped down. Among other things. There were plenty of dishes and cookware to use and we liked that. A lot of space too. We do like the house, though, and would still rent it again.

Property was spacious, clean, and secure. Neighborhood was private and friendly. The short walk to the beach was nice. It was great that we were able to bring our large dog. Overall a pleasant experience.

Great place for a getaway with the pups.

We just returned from a nice vacation stay at The Bayview. Upon arrival we found everything cleaned and the kitchen stocked with all we needed to cook breakfast and a few dinners at home. The upstairs king suite was a tranquil oasis. The main floor of the home was very spacious and roomy with the large kitchen, dining room and tv room. The fenced in yard worked great for our dogs. The walk to the beach was a reasonable distance and fairly level. The only negative we had was all the steps, particularly when you have to walk the dogs all the way down in the middle of the night.

Great pet friendly property

The house was in a great location and very pet friendly! It could have been cleaner, when we arrived there were dirty dishes in the oven. Also there was a very strong varnish smell in the downstairs, we couldn't stand to sleep down there. The oven does not close properly so ever time we used it we had to hold the door closed. Overall it's a nice house and we would come back, hopefully they can fix some of the issues.

Great Rental on a quiet beach near Broadkill Beach

This was a great rental property. No issues with VRBO host and communications. Rental agent handled all issues and was accessible by email. House was in good condition and no major issues. It is a 1 block walk to a private beach access trail and there is a very nice and quiet beach. This is just north of Broadkill beach on the mouth of Delaware bay (I think) - so no waves, just gentle bay water. They do allow dogs in the rental and on the beach which is a key draw to this location. This area has were some biting flies on the beach and mosquitos in the evening, so bring insect repellent if coming at the peak of bug season.

Wonderful location and great house!

This is the perfect family or large group vacation house. 4 moms and daughters used this for a lacrosse tournament weekend in Frederica. It was perfect. The kitchen is missing a few essentials and no iron, but everything else was perfect! We loved our weekend there. Much better than hotel rooms, for sure, and the beach is so close and lovely.

Broadkill Beach

Great location for access to DE Sports complex, outlets and Rehoboth beach. Had family and friends. Perks- great/easy access to beach, access to bikes, perfect for our 5 kids who rode around to the little store for ice cream and the nature preserve down the road. We had access to cleaning supplies including a vacuum and did spend some time vacuuming and cleaning the downstairs furniture and downstairs are for the kids on arrival. Also— the bug bites and mosquitoes were a real bugger especially the first night. They weren’t as bad the second night. Bring bug spray! Overall- we had a lovely stay.

Great "satellite" rental

We have been owners in Broadkill for over 35 years and often rent additional properties for our extended family when everyone gets together. This house perfectly suited the bill for our trip. It was clean, had a nice large porch, easy parking and a quiet location right near easy beach access. The only negative was the faint smell of what I assume was some kind of epoxy sealcoat in the basement. The master bedroom upstairs is especially nice.

Quiet and Peaceful trip

This was our first time at Broadkill Beach. The property was perfect for our family. It was close to the private beach. The owners thought of everything you could need including a shelf designated to “things you may have forgotten”. Broadkill Beach was clean and relaxing. Since you are on the bay, don’t expect waves. As a family we were able to enjoy the beach, games in the water, and a game of washers that the owners have provided. I would definitely recommend this home. We enjoyed our stay!

Amazing House and Location

House and location were as advertised! 30 second walk to the private beach. Only issue with the house is that it was not supplied with any hand soap or dish soap. Also, no paper towels or toilet paper were provided. Luckily we found one role of each to hold us over until we shopped for some necessities. Other than that it felt like a 10/10 house and weekend. Would definitely rent again in the future.

If I could give this home a zero rating I would. In hindsight we should have just booked a hotel, but lesson learned. I contacted the agency within 15 min of checking in. The house smells horrific and was filthy. My kids took off their shoes upon entering and they were black from the floors. The floors were not swept or mopped. Crumbs from a previous meal were left on the dining table. There were no window screens in the windows at the living side of this house which is a complete disregard to children's safety. There was no reprieve from the awful smell that filled this house. Liquid was left inside of the coffee pot. Bathrooms floors were dirty. Dead bugs in the showers and toilets were stained brown. I am still washing all the clothing and bedding that we brought since the smell of this house has now followed us home. I would ask that a representative from your company actually go to this home and see it for yourself. I highly doubt that anyone from your agency would stay there. This property should never be listed as a rental.

Off the beaten path

If you want a quiet stay at the Delaware beaches away from the crowds, Broadkill Beach is the place to go. The location was perfect as it was a ~20-30 minute drive to Lewes and Rehoboth. It was nice to have a local store that we could ride bikes to for light snacks and ice cream. The bugs at the Broadkill beach were intolerable for us, but we had a great time at the Rehoboth and Cape Henlopen beaches. The property itself had a perfect layout for our 2 family group and the deck was beautiful but we couldn't enjoy it because of the bugs. The house was not clean upon arrival. Despite being a pet-free property, there was a LOT of dog hair on the couches and carpets; fortunately we don't have allergies and tolerated the need to constantly brush off dog hair, but this is not the place to stay if you have pet allergies. There had been no attempt to clean away spiderwebs before we got there, which made for a feeling of being guests in the bugs' home, made worse by the fact that there was absolutely no way to kill all the bugs that got into the house upon every door opening. Heavy duty bug spray and anti itch cream are a must! Overall, it was a generally pleasant stay and good for the 5 kids aged 2-8yo, but we would not choose this property, or anything in Broadkill again, due to the bugs.

Good property, business practice needs improvement

The good: Great location, good property with ample space, and some good amenities like the surf fishing cart. The bad: Cleaning not done properly after last guest, resulting in fly infestation. All four of us walked around with a fly swatter in hand throughout the stay, and a small swarm flew out of the coffee maker when I opened it following morning. Notified the property manager at Coldwell Bank, who responded: "Oh that's unacceptable! Thanks for letting me know. Bye." The owner/property mgmt. decided to charge $257 extra for the linen, and while some will bring sleeping bags, others will just use the beddings as they are, meaning the pillows and the comforters will just get dirtier and grimier faster. This is a poor incentive because you just end up having to replace your beddings more often, or it just gets dirty to a point where nobody wants to use it. The fundamental of lodging is a clean place to sleep. If this is not met then nothing else will really bring us back. And if the place has any issues, the property manager should do more for the current guests than, "oh we will address it for the next guests. Thanks for the heads up." I'm not on vacation to argue back and forth for little gains. This is what shows up on reviews. He should have had some foresight to know how to take care of the guests who are present.

Enjoyable family vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was fairly clean, but the basement level had a lot of dead flies all over.The only bad thing was the mosquitoes

• The Dough Bar - a hidden gem located on the Broadkill River next to Milton Park, serves up tasty pizza, sandwiches, and savory appetizers. Doors also open early if you are looking for a hot cup of coffee and a muffin.

• The Broadkill Store was probably one of the first things you saw as you drove in. You can get groceries, bait, ice cream or basic personal items there.

• Irish Eyes - If you are looking for pub food with an Irish flair...check out Irish Eyes.  Located right on the Broadkill River in Lewes, and on Union Street in Milton. They offer a fun bar atmosphere, great wings, and daily specials.  Check out the schedule for Trivia Night!  Those events are always a blast!

• Tequila Real is the best Mexican cuisine around. Friendly folks, great food, and… you know… Tequila. Leave room for the Don Juan dessert which is our particular favorite. Enjoy lively atmosphere with the occasional performance from an in-house mariachi! 

• The Foxhole - If you are celebrating something special and looking for a dining experience with a little more flair…check out The Foxhole.

• Po’Boys - If you love all things Cajun…then Po’Boys is a must!  Take a bite into one of their Po’ Boys or seafood étouffée and you will be transported into the heart of New Orleans.  While we are certainly not experts on all things NOLA…we know plenty who are and say that Po’ Boys in Milton is the real deal.  

• Quest Kayaks - If you enjoy water sports and would like to explore our beautiful Broadkill River, Quest Kayaks offers rentals at your request! Just call or text 302-74-KAYAK (302-745-2925) or email questkayak@gmail.com. They also offer floating mats, SUP, chairs, and umbrellas and will deliver to various locations in the beach region.

• Smart TVs- Bayview is outfitted with 4 Smart Televisions. Common apps such as Netflix, Prime, Disney etc. can be accessed with your personal subscription and login credentials. Cable TV is also available on all but the master suite for your entertainment. Remotes can be found near the TV in each location.
• Internet- High-Speed Internet is available throughout the unit. The Wi-Fi login and password are marked on the refrigerator in the kitchen.
• Google Hub- Google Nest Hubs are located on the main floor and Master Suite. Summon the Google assistant by saying, “Hey Google…” in order to find out more information on time, local restaurants, events, weather, etc. They can also be used as alarm clocks.
• Local Offerings- Explore the small towns of Milton and Lewes or visit other neighboring towns and beaches. Explore all of the wonderful possibilities that Sussex County has to offer!

Recreation
• Fishing poles and Beach Cruisers located in the garage are for your use. Bait, tackle and additional bikes can be found at the Broadkill Store. Just return everything to the place you found them when you’re done. If you do not have a Delaware Tidal Waters fishing license, they can be obtained online at the DNREC website for a fee.
• Cornhole boards are in the garage also. Please bring in the bags at night.
• Beach chairs and a cart to make it easier to get them to the beach are located in the garage for your use.
