UPDATES AS OF 11/01/2023: NEW FLOORING IN PRIMARY AND BEDROOM OVER THE GARAGE, ENTRY AND LAUNDRY ROOM, SLEEPER SOFA MATTRESSES, AREA RUGS IN PRIMARY BEDROOM AND LIVING ROOM, BATHROOMS LIGHTING AND FAUCETS, NEW 2 SEAT POOL SWING

This home is located on a quiet street in the middle of Sea PInes and you may access the beach either by a less than10 minute walk (directions will be in home) or you have access to the Free Beach Shuttle that offers free parking and short trip to Atlantic Ocean at the Sea Pines Beach Club.

The home has 4 bedrooms with the master on the first floor off the living room with ensuite bathroom with separate tub and shower and large walk in closet. Two guest bedrooms are on the second floor with a walkway between looking over the living room. The bedrooms have a queen in one and 2 twins in the other and both have ensuite bathrooms with tub/shower combo. The fourth bedroom is over the garage with a king bed and twin in the loft above with access via steps on side of king bed and ensuite bathroom with tub/shower combo. There is also a sleeper sofa in this bedroom!


The main living area has a separate dining room, living room and kitchen with eating area. There is also a small screen porch that leads to a generous deck with gas grill and just a few steps to the private pool (may be heated for an additional $800 per week) that is fenced in with plenty of chairs for lounging.

The garage is not for guest use but there is a long driveway that will fit 4 cars comfortably.

Great location within short walking distance from the beach. Nice home for our two families to stay together. ice to have the pool available. Communication from the host was good for the most part. The morning we were scheduled to arrive, I received a call that a toilet overflowed in one of the ensuite bathrooms upstairs two days prior. I was assured the bathroom was useable and everything was cleaned up and dry. That was not the case. We arrived several hours later to a very loud industrial fan blowing toward the ceiling downstairs in the dining room. Upstairs the bedroom carpet was damp and the room smelled moldy. The vents in the bedroom had mold on them and the room felt damp. We requested a dehumidifier and it came the next day. We could not sleep in that room or fully use that bathroom for the week we were at the house. The fan was in the dining room until the day before we left. It was VERY inconvenient. We were told we would receive a portion of a refund due to not being able to fully used the bedroom and bathroom upstairs, which was needed with 9 people staying there for the week. Unfortunately, after mutliple attempts at contacting the host for that partial refund, we received nothing and they stopped responding to my attempts to get a status on it. It was a nice house otherwise and I do understand things happen in a rental the same way they can in my own home. However, I will not rent from these hosts again due to the poor customer service we received.

What a great family vacation. The location of this house is perfect. It is close to the bike trails and less than a 5 minute bike ride to the beach (which feels pretty private) or about a 10 minute walk. The pool was best part and where we spent the majority of our time. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

This was our second year in a row staying here. We enjoy the pool, short beach walk/bike ride, front porch for coffee, bedrooms with en suites, large family room, and a/c that keeps entire house cool! Appreciate the beach equipment. Wish there was a second refrigerator.

Love Sea Pines!!!

This was our second stay at this property! The house is large and there is plenty of room for our family of 8 adults and 3 children. The layout is perfect for 4 couples/families. The location is great-we could walk to the beach in about 10 minutes. A beach wagon was provided as well as plenty of beach towels. The pool and deck are large and mostly shaded. We enjoyed a lot of time in these two spots!!! Paula was responsive when the pool heater did not work, but unfortunately is was not functional for half of our trip.The house could use a lot of updating and general maintenance, but we would definately stay there again.

Nice property. Enjoyed the central location do it was super convenient to south beach, beach club and Harbor Town too. Especially nice and close to the beach!

Happiness in HH!

It was truly a wonderful week. The house was lovely, roomy and had most everything we needed. On of the first bathrooms had a broken toilet lid and handle for the toilet.

Lovely home

We like the area, the house was huge and very nice. We really appreciated that all four bedrooms each had their own bathroom. Kitchen was nice and fairly well stocked although could have used more silverware and bowls. FYI, this house does not have anything like salt, pepper, sugar or any oil. You have to take all products with you when you leave. Also, we ran out of laundry detergent, Kleenex, toilet paper, dishwasher soap, etc. We liked the outdoor deck - it has a large table for dining or playing cards. The beds were comfortable and showers were good. They provided pool towels which was nice. The washer and dryer were great. We paid to have the pool heated but we had some problems keeping it heated. The pool guy had to come out twice. We had emptied the filter basket each day as was stated on the instructions but still had problems - even after emptying them twice a day. But all in all, a great house and the location is perfect. Lots of restaurants nearby and beach is close.

Restful Retreat.

They were eight of us staying at the house. Itā€™s a perfect house for large parties. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate as we were unable to use the swimming pool. It rained quite a bit all week. The house needs updating and could use a good cleaning top to bottom. The kitchen was very well equipped. The pots need to be replaced.

Lovely place to stay with family

We visited this spacious home with our family which included two small children. There was plenty of room for everyone and all the stuff that comes along with vacationing with young kids. The location of the house was perfect for a quick walk to the beach. Having the pool was fantastic. Everything was clean and we instantly felt at home in the space. We canā€™t wait to make this an annual trip.

Perfect for our family

The house is very large and perfect for families. We had 8 adults (4 couples) and 3 children. There was plenty of space, we never felt cramped. The deck and pool were great for hanging out! The house was clean although it could use a little updating. The refrigerator was our only issue, it wasnā€™t cold enough and didnā€™t make ice. A repairman came towards the end of our stay. Paula responded quickly to our questions

Lovely home with plenty of space

Well maintained, clean, and nicely decorated. Large comfortable bedrooms have great separation with their own bathrooms. Pool area very nice. Easy bike ride to beach. Loved coffee on the front porch in the mornings.

Annual family Hilton Head trip.

The house was great for our extended family of 9 - nice pool, good location for beach or biking to S Beach or Harbor Town. We flew so having beach towels and chairs provided was so helpful. All around great week at 9 Old Military!

Golf outing

Hit the Masters practice day then on to HHI for a couple of days of golf. Got rained out one day but had two good rounds on Weds. We enjoyed the trip!

Great place!

Loved the home! We had 3 adults and 3 kids with us. Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the week. We have stayed in Sea Pines multiple times and especially enjoyed this location. The bike paths off Greenwood Drive are our favorite and it is just a short bike ride to the beach as well as Harbortown. We paid extra to heat the pool and it was perfect, kids were in it multiple times each day despite the chilly weather. Only had one issue and host was very responsive. My only complaint is that it seemed a little dusty in places. You can tell they have a good cleaning staff, but may need more of a deep clean soon. I didn't notice at first but my allergies told me differently. Mainly noticed dust on tops of picture frames,microwave, etc. Overall we loved it and had a great time! Would definitely consider staying her again.

As described

"Restful retreat" is an accurate description of this property. The neighborhood is nice and quiet with leisure paths for strolling around the plantation. Swings and patio furniture were nice accents around the pool and provided a nice place to gather after meals. The kitchen was even fully equipped with everything we needed. Just perfect!
