Welcome to our charming riverside retreat in the heart of historic downtown Puyallup. The Cozy Cottage is a modern cabin vibe that is warm and inviting which makes you feel right at home. Whether you're seeking casual luxury or just a place to relax and unwind, this is the perfect spot for you.

Our fully stocked kitchen is a chef's dream, complete with all the essentials and even a gas stove for cooking up delicious meals. Wake up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee and enjoy a light breakfast with provided oatmeal, nuts and brown sugar.

The cozy office space is perfect for catching up on work or checking emails with high-speed internet.

Relax and restore in our newly installed top-of-the-line salt water hot tub (comfortably seats 4) and watch the river stream by while nature envelopes you. Snuggle up next to the warm fire and watch movies on the 55" inch TV with a fantastic soundbar.

Need to stay active? Hit the home gym and break a sweat with the elliptical, weights, and more.

Rest easy in luxurious towels and Turkish robes, and sink into the comfy king/queen beds with premium linens and plenty of pillow options.

A cozy and warm space; it's a well thought-out home with great touches of comfort. The home is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is in a cute neighborhood, close to town. The home is well maintained and clean. The grounds are nicely landscaped and the view is lovely. The amenities have spa-like touches providing a relaxing vacation. The check out expectations are great, not feeling a lot of pressure to end vacation.

Beautiful

This property is gorgeous and comfortable inside and out. Such care has been taken in the decor and amenities, we could not have asked for anything else. The owners are thoughtful and responsive. This was the perfect retreat as we celebrated our daughter’s wedding week.

Charming cottage on the river

We stayed in the cottage for our daughter’s first horse show. The cottage was so inviting and offered us the perfect place to relax in between shows. Very clean and cozy. Communication with the host was phenomenal. We would definitely recommend and would stay again! Thank you!!!

Truly Exceptional!

If you’re considering booking this VRBO, do yourself a favor and book immediately. I cannot say enough good things about this cottage or our hosts. Our 10 night stay gave us ample opportunity to develop an informed opinion. The home is spotless, the layout is accommodating and all on one level, the river views are lovely, as are the multiple outdoor gathering areas, complete with everything from an array of comfortable furniture, a propane fire table and a large hot tub. The interior furnishings are incredibly comfortable, with an assortment of cozy seating in the sitting room, enhanced during our winter stay by the gas fire in the den. The mattresses and linens were blissfully comfortable. The kitchen was incredibly well appointed with every appliance, cooking implement or other item we could have wanted. As part of the stellar communication from the hosts, a very detailed information book on the house was provided, which included, among other things, instructions with images on how to use appliances with which we were unfamiliar. From plenty of pillows to a variety of throw blankets to lights, occasional tables and nightstands in all the right places, this was unequivocally the most comfortable, accommodating, well appointed rental house I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in. From my initial booking inquiry to our final text after departure, the hosts were prompt, courteous, helpful, considerate and thorough in their communication. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

Excellent get away

Cozy Cottage on the river is exactly as presented and was perfect for our family meet up. It’s centrally located for easy access to Tacoma or Seattle. We spent time there relaxing and enjoying each other’s company.

Amazing property, wonderful hosts!

Hands down recommend that any traveler stay at the Cozy Cottage. The name is not misleading, it truly is cozy and lovely. It’s beautiful with so many thoughtful touches. It’s very clean, the linens are soft and comfortable, and the kitchen is stocked with anything you might need. The outdoor space is amazing with a beautiful view of the river. It’s is very conveniently located for any of your Puyallup/Tacoma adventures. Lisa was incredibly proactive at making sure we had everything that we needed. Lisa, Shane, and Linda have raised the bar, truly the best property we’ve stayed at. You can tell it’s important to them to be good hosts and make guests comfortable. They have thought of everything and put in many fun little surprises.

Recent stay at Cozy Cottage

The cottage was beautiful inside and out. The host thought of every detail. The river view was amazing! We fished and enjoyed the outdoors in the spacious outdoor living area. We visited the Puyallup Farmers Market and Washington State fair. What a wonderful area to explore on the last weekend of summer.

Cozy Cottage summer

Probably the nicest place we have ever stayed. The setting is spectacular. Right on the river. The home is lovely and well equipped. Nothing is cheap or shabby. It truly was a home away from home. We will plan to come back again.

Absolutely Wonderful! Highly Recommend Staying Here

We stayed here when our daughter was getting married at a nearby venue. It was perfect. We were able to relax and feel pampered amid all of the wedding activities. The hot tub was wonderful, as was sitting on the deck by the fire table. Every detail was taken care of and the host was so responsive to questions. I wish we could have stayed longer -- the Cozy Cottage is a little piece of heaven.

Wonderful property

This property is beautiful inside and out. You can tell the owners take great pride in making sure all who stay here are happy and comfortable. The beds are super comfy, and so is the furniture. We spent time outside enjoying the peaceful river view and were so glad that even the outdoor furniture was comfy. The yard is quite big and the landscaping is beautiful. There were so many amenities in all rooms - everything and more that you could want in the kitchen; bathrooms also fully stocked with toiletries and bedrooms had lots of blanket and pillow options. The host was super attentive and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely be my first choice next time I'm in Puyallup.

Perfection in Every Way Possible

Each and every single detail has been paid attention to by the hosts of this extraordinary property. From the very second you walk in the door you are awe struck by this gorgeous, spotlessly clean, well cared for property. The river views out the back windows are absolutely stunning and can be enjoyed from a variety of carefully placed outdoor furniture or the absolutely incredible hot tub area. The hot tub itself was the true icing on the cake and we enjoyed it day and night. The bedrooms are well appointed and the bedding, mattress, right down to the pillows were absolute perfection. We got the best nights sleep ever! The kitchen is well stocked with every single amenity you could ask for in addition to fabulous coffee beans and a variety of ways to prepare it. If you love coffee this location is a coffee lovers dream. There’s even a full on espresso maker! For the outdoor fire table at night they provide you with a s’mores package as well, which we absolutely had to partake in every night. The laundry and gym area were also a nice to have as we were able to clean clothes and get a workout in which is rare for many locations. The hosts that care for this property are top notch and attentive to any and all questions that we had and truly went out of their way to make our experience incredible. You can tell that they take great pride in this property from top to bottom. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if fate brings us to the area once more.

Wonderful cozy home

This place deserves bonus stars, 5++! The house was amazing. We fell in love with it right away. I could sit and watch the river flow all day. So peaceful. This wonderful home had so many thoughtful amenities; so many comfy spots with lots of pillows and warm blankies. It really made our stay so relaxing and enjoyable. I would love to stay here again.

Perfect Cottage!

We have stayed at many wonderful places through the years but this one, by far had the nicest touches. First, it was way more spacious than we thought. The layout is perfect and so nice for a family. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were nicely appointed. We were greeted with the nicest treats and amenities. It was a perfect way to begin. I can’t rave enough about this home! From booking to check-out, it was amazing and we will be back!

Absolutely Phenomenal !!

The Cozy Cottage is THE BEST home I have ever stayed in. I travel a lot for business and have stayed in many places, but this home is top notch!! Lisa has made this house into a welcoming home that is just wonderful. She did not forget a single thing that someone would need while staying there. Wine and fresh pasties displayed beautifully on the counter for our arrival and the fresh flowers in every room made me happy and smile. Popcorn, smores, snacks, multiple coffee makers and the list goes on. The bathrooms have every essential that you could possibly need. The beds and pillows are amazing and I slept soooo good! I usually find myself wiping things down, vacuuming and moping when I first arrive at a rental, but not at the Cozy Cottage, the home is immaculate and so clean. I plan on going back in a couple of months for business and I'm staying at Lisa's, because nothing else can hold a candle to her home.

Cozy Cottage is aptly named

We returned home from our stay yesterday. I already have a list of things I want for my house that I found at the Cozy Cottage. We were in Puyallup to visit my son and his family. My grandkids LOVED the Cozy Cottage and asked if we were going to live there. I told them no but when we come back to visit, we'll be staying here. To start, amazing communication with the hosts. After we checked in they contacted us to make sure we were good and to see if we had questions. At the Cottage, they have the book of everything: how to work the remotes (that were LABELED, thank God), the heating - we come from a central air area so it was great to have that info handy, how to work the fire pit...everything was covered. First impression: neat and clean. The inside smells wonderful: calming, soothing. They aren't kidding when they say Cozy - lots of pillows and blankets. A basket of socks near the front door (LOVED the no shoes policy). Comfy robes, the towels were soft, the beds are very comfortable, and the sheets are soft. There were alarm clocks and sound machines, there were sprays for the pillows to aid in restful sleep. Thoughtful touches everywhere. Board games, eco friendly laundry detergent, and a well equipped kitchen with sharp knives. The bathrooms had lots of towels, a hamper, specific wash cloths for make-up removal, wipes, and a period station. It was like being embraced in a warm and soothing hug. That's the best way I can describe our stay.

Amazing hosts

What an amazing property and such amazing hosts. Many thoughtful extras (gym set up, coffee and creamer choices, very nice lines and very clean property). Really enjoyed the patio and sitting around fire while enjoying the river! Great communication by the hosts. I highly recommend this home and I would stay again!

This house is everything and more than described. The attention to detail and beautiful furnishings and design of the home is impressive. Piece of Paradise

Every element of our stay at the Cozy Cottage on the River was absolutely beautiful. Comfortable beds and pillows, relaxing colors, lavish textiles throughout, the kitchen is gorgeous and has everything you need to cook real meals. Don't miss the farmer's markets at Pioneer Park. And the Riverwalk Trail is close and great for a long walk. The neighborhood is quiet and feels friendly (very nice long-time neighbor that tipped us off as we were leaving about a two-hour backup on the freeway..thanks so much!). We spent most of our five days on the back porch watching the river and birds, and enjoying the glorious yard and gardens. That hammock...! The crowning jewel of this property is for sure it's owners. The amount of love and care they put into every little detail shows, and is felt. Lisa's communication was excellent and so appreciated. We can't wait to come back.

If you like beautiful view of nature with flowing river in your backyard along with outdoor fireplace. If you like uber comfortable bedding, rain showers in your bathtub, soaking tub with jets. This is a single story home that has been remodeled but highlights comfort and home and in decor you don't find in many short term rentals. We have 2.5 bathrooms and one is a walk in shower. There is only one step! We have fishing gear, an elliptical and games along with outdoor dining area for those summer months!
