The vintage Lowcountry character of this old beach house has been endearingly refreshed and updated. One porch was dramatically enlarged and screened in to overlook the private pool, and the second porch transformed into a cozy sunroom.
The refurbished ground floor has an en suite bedroom, washer/dryer nook, and internal stairs to the main floor. A picnic table and outdoor shower with changing room are located under the shade of the house. Parking is available on two sides of this corner lot.
The prized corner lot position puts this home on a short side street with direct beach access. A small boat landing is steps away across the road.

HOUSEKEEPING / LINENS: All short-term stays include departure clean service, bed and bath linens, and beds made upon arrival. Linens and housekeeping are additional costs for monthly stays.
BEACH ACCESS: Approx. 2-minute walk. Leaving the side driveway of this corner lot, follow the last half of Chesterfield Lane (a short block) to Norris Drive and cross over to the boardwalk path.
CREEK ACCESS: A small boat launch is located on steps away on Sundial Drive, perfect for launching a Jon boat and kayaks to explore the beautiful tidal creek.
LENGTH OF STAY: Saturday to Saturday stays in summer. Partial week stays may be considered for last-minute bookings. Monthly winter rental inquiries are welcome.
DOG FRIENDLY: This Dog Friendly home invites you to bring the whole family. Guests are responsible for any damage caused by their dog. Guests bringing a dog must make it known at the time of booking and pay additional rent. Maximum 2 dogs. Leashed dogs are allowed on the beach during daylight hours.
LITCHFIELD BEACH: Walkable with a laidback vibe, this unique coastal community offers residents and visitors easy access to miles of pristine beach as well as the tidal creek. A stroll-about will unfold scenic Lowcountry vistas, rekindle friendships from past stays, and provide access to a sample of local shops and restaurants. The greater Waccamaw Neck area additionally offers grocery stores, art galleries, prominent golf courses, historic landmarks, boat excursions, Brookgreen Gardens (nationally renowned), Huntington Beach State Park (think history, birding), and more.

After-Christmas Getaway
It was a great location, and the house was perfect for our after-Christmas getaway. We loved being close to the beach, golf, and our favorite restaurants. We would highly recommend and will visit again!!

Our family has a tradition of Litchfield Beach vacations. We always stayed in one of several houses but this year had a smaller group and tried Sweet Tea instead. It was wonderful. It's a great location and the home was perfect for our group of 6. We reserved it again for next year!

Litchfield Beach is easily among the prettiest beaches in South Carolina. Bounded by low lying sand dunes and the blue-green ocean, the beach is characteristically wide with soft white sand and spans 7 miles from end to end.
Summertime can get busy on Litchfield Beach, but families love rekindling friendships made from past stays as they book year after year in the same home within this small, beachside community.
Grocery and beach stores, popular dining venues, and local eclectic shops are conveniently nearby. While primarily residential, Litchfield Inn is located on the north end of this beach where the public can enjoy oceanfront dining and a dunes-side bar within easy and safe walking distance.

Huntington Beach State Park shares the same strand as Litchfield Beach, a popular destination for families, photographers, and nature lovers. A 4-mile drive north along Ocean Highway 17 will bring you to the forested state park entrance where visitors will fall under the enchanting spell of the beauty and wildlife of the Lowcountry sand dunes, marshlands and backwater estuaries.
Also, 4 miles away is Brookgreen Gardens, another local treasure. Brookgreen displays world renowned sculpture amidst acres of lush gardens and majestic oaks, offering miles of walking paths through what once was a working rice plantation. It is also home to the only accredited zoo on the Carolina coast, where you will see rescued native animals in natural habitat settings.
The Pawleys Island/Litchfield Beach area is known locally as the Waccamaw Neck. Pawleys Island, known for its “arrogantly shabby” character, encompasses Litchfield but has its own beach – and island – where it splits away from the south end of Litchfield Beach. The relaxing ebb and flow of the tide sets the pace of our Lowcountry coastal region of South Carolina where getting on Island Time comes naturally.
Outdoor activities are a great way to experience the unique beauty of our area. Locals and visitors alike enjoy surf fishing, deep sea fishing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, surfing, boating, bicycling, and beach combing – just to name a few. Nationally renowned golf courses abound as well as historic landmarks and plantation tours. Myrtle Beach, only 20 miles north, and Charleston, 75 miles south, make great day trips.
