Private and quiet location on the end of the cul-de-sac on beautiful Island Pines Drive in Waves, NC! This spectacular Outer Banks property is mere steps from the dunes and the ocean. You will enjoy a calm, serene atmosphere at Island Pines, surrounded by gorgeous pines and cedars. Relaxation abounds as you switch from life-mode to vacation-mode and enjoy the private pool and hot tub, and soak up some rays on one of the many spacious wrap-around decks. Island Pines features eight bedrooms: five spacious master bedrooms with private baths and two bunk rooms with two sets of twin over full bunks in each, and one spacious king bedroom which share two additional hall bathrooms.
THE UPPER LEVEL:
The kitchen and great room on the upper level are a natural gathering space and are large enough to gather your family and friends for dinner, movies, puzzles, and games! Above the great room is a bonus loftā€”perfect for reading, playing one of the multiple board games, or quietly sneaking off to return phone calls or emails. The well-appointed kitchen features a large ice makerā€”perfect for filling your coolers before heading to the beach, two dishwashers, and an oversized refrigerator for ease of comfort and entertaining. With ample seating and an island for service, this kitchen was ,add to host your large group! The upper level also features one spacious master bedrooms with a king bed, private bath, jacuzzi tub, and separate shower. This room has a sliding door to the sun deck where guests can enjoy quiet morning coffee, a view of the yard and pool, gorgeous ocean views, or just soak up some sunshine.
THE MID-LEVEL:
The mid-level features four bedrooms: two master bedrooms with private baths, king beds, and sliding doors to a covered deck with ocean views, another king bedroom, a bunk room with two sets of pyramid (twin over full) bunk beds, and a shared full bath in the hallway.
THE LOWER LEVEL:
The lower level features two large master bedrooms with king beds and private baths. A third bedroom features two sets of pyramid bunk beds (twin over full). A full bath is conveniently located in the hallway. Our guests love our spacious game room.with pool table, television, wet-bar, full-sized-sized refrigerator, and pull-out queen-sized sofa bed! The game room sliding doors open to the pool, hot tub, and outdoor showers.
THE PROPERTY:
One the right side of the house is a large, private lot for your groupā€™s corn hole tournament and also for evening gatherings and roasting marshmallows around the propane fire pit.
THE BEACH:
Island Pines is a quick two-minute walk from the beach! Guests can walk a few more minutes and visit the Rodanthe pier to enjoy deep water fishing. Save, NC is a world-renowned location for kite-surfing and windsurfing. Guests can take a quick five minute walk to visit one of two lesson and equipment rental businesses!

The house was great for our large group with lots of kids. Super close to beach with a great pool in the back. Kitchen was fully stocked with lots of pans and utensils.

Great house. So much room for our large group of 15. We'll stocked, ice maker is a definite plus. Felt like a vacation. Short stroll to the beach. Pool and hot tub were great. Some outdoor sprucing up, showers, picnic area, side yard, would make a huge difference. Host was very responsive and helpful. The included golf cart was an awesome perk.Overall a fantastic experience

80 Birthday Celebration!!

We had 21 guests ranging from all ages. Plenty of room for all. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. The pool table was a nice perk on the lower level. Only a 2 minute walk to the beach and stunning views from the upper decks. We had a great time celebrating Mom's 80th!!

Great Stay

Our group of 18 had such a good stay here. The location is perfect...only a few steps away from the beach. The house is massive and it never felt squished even with 18 people. We didn't have any issues while we were there. I would highly recommend this spot for a large group.

Fantastic house for a family reunion!

My family and I had a wonderful time in Ourter Banks and this house was just perfect and completely comfortable for our large group. Everything was clean and the host was very responsive to every call and text with the questions we had. The kitchen is fully equipped with large pots and serving bowls, which made it easy to prepare meals for a group of our size. The pool and hot tub were very nice addition when we got tired of the beach, which was just steps away. Highly recommend this place for reunions and get togethers.

Good stay

We had some hiccups with the pool being unclean but the property manager was quick to take care of it. It may be because we were there in an off peak time. It was upsetting to the kids we lost an entire day with the pool but we made do. Some parts of the house were damaged and we had to do a photo walk before check in so we didnā€™t get the blame but when you have a property thatā€™s rented often it can happen. It was a nice location. Some of the pots and pans were dirty and we had to wash them before cooking (as you should anyways) but thatā€™s more the cleaning service than the owners. All in all it was minimal issues.

Location was great.

Just a few minutes from ocean. Bedroom/ bathroom ratio was extremely desirable for our families. Pool/ hot tub was really nice to get a break from sand and salt water. And Facebook posts about heavy traffic were over exaggerated-never was at a standstill. Plus we had perfect weather all week. (Helped we could cool off in air conditioning.

Family fun

This house was perfect for our large family. 8 adults and 9 children. Bedrooms on each level with private bathroom for most. Great room/kitchen was large enough for all of us. Short walk to the ocean beach and larger swimming pool and hot tub. Constant fun! House was in great condition. Lots of kitchen utensils, appliances and dishes. Bed linens and towels included. We agree we would vacation here again.

Great time in Waves!

We had a great time in Waves! This home could use some updating but has great bones and plenty of room for our large family. There is no outdoor space for playing outside do too overgrown vegetation, which also caused the pool deck to be quit dirty. Be advised the closest grocery store or sit down restaurant is in Avon about 20mins away. The walk to the beach is less than 3 mins, very convenient!!

Really lovely home!

My friends all enjoyed our stay so much! The kitchen was stocked with plenty of pots and pans, coffee mugs, plates, silverware, etc. We were able to cook multiple full dinners for 19 of us. Plenty of beach chairs available, boogie boards, etc. We hungout at the pool and hot tub every day and enjoyed how close to the beach the house was. Such a nice, quiet little cul-de-sac. We just had one small issue (not enough bath towels) but Doreen helped us out quickly. Small touches (like ice makers in both freezers, plenty of dishwasher and laundry pods, etc) really made the stay so much more enjoyable. We were able to squeeze 7 cars into the driveway pretty easily. Iā€™d absolutely stay here again.

Few issues. Overall enjoyed the stay.

Nice 6 bed property. 3rd floor has lot of space for a get together. Few issues we noticed and informed the property manager. We found a lot of bugs including cockroaches across the house including kitchen. Music system was not working. Tv sound was not loud enough. Swimming pool was not covered in the winter and had dirty water filled. House was clean. Linen was clean. Proximity to the beach. We all enjoyed the stay.

Fantastic week at the Outer Banks

Our family had a great time at the Outer Banks. The house was perfect for our family, which consisted of three generations ranging from 82 to 13. It was just a couple minutes walk to the beach, and the pool and hot tub were excellent. The main living space allowed all of us to hang out and share meals together on the upper level, and it was nice to have a second living room with a pool table on the lower level to allow us to spread out as well. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed. The host was very responsive and able to address small issues that came up during the week which was appreciated. Rodanthe is a less populated area with several camp sites. It is ideal if you are looking for a less crowded, more remote beach experience. We were still close enough to drive to Nagshead and Kitty Hawk to enjoy some of the features in those locations. While we planned to go to Hatteras and Ocracoke one day, we were enjoying the house and Rodanthe so much, we decided to stay put instead.
