Enjoy your family time at spacious Villa Alica with Pool, Spa & Outdoor Kitchen

Thank you very much for your review. However, we believe you may have mixed-up the review with the message you intended to send to us directly regarding the final bill. Because here’s what you wrote us: “Thank you so much—everything was wonderful. We’re thinking of booking the same time next year. My in-laws are also interested in staying for a month.” We’d also like to address your comment regarding the additional fees: Your booking and payment on VRBO were originally for 8 days and 2 people. You then stayed in the house for 9 days, with up to 4 people at times, and we charged you extra for this—as discussed. We didn’t even charge you the full amount for the extra night; in fact, we gave you a discount on it! You were aware that electricity usage is billed separately. The costs for this correspond to your actual usage, and we make no profit from this. We decided to bill electricity based on consumption for several reasons: On the one hand, we want to promote the environmentally friendly use of resources; on the other hand, we want to keep the base rental price as low as possible. However, this also means that we bill unpredictable costs—such as electricity consumption—separately. The electric pool and spa heater as well as the air conditioning are the appliances in the house that consume most energy. For both systems, you can set the desired temperature yourself, which has a significant impact on electricity consumption and therefore cannot be factored into the base rent

Dear Kristin, good to hear that you like our house. It´s a pity, that you gave it only 4 stars for a matter, that is absolutely not linked to the house and its facilities. Actually we had precisely informed you about driving distances. The exact address of our house is also shown in the HomeAway ad - even with a map – so that you could have informed yourself regarding the distances to places, which are important for you. Therefor we have a hard time to understand such a commend and your rating which will disturb other people who only look at the stars without reading further. Regards Markus and Sonja
