The home is overall beautiful- modern, well furnished. The view and outside area are gorgeous. The drive up and driveway are scary the first time, but you get use it and it’s worth it for the seclusion and view. House manager and caretaker were very responsive. Caretaker lives below the house. The negatives- the upstairs hall bath had a horrible odor like sewage all week. It was obviously know as the windows were open (letting all kinds of spiders and bugs) when we arrived, along with air fresheners. It was a shame as this bathroom had the open window to the view to shower by. Our biggest complaint was the active construction site directly next door, right beside the pool deck. This should have been disclosed in the listing so had the informed choice to book this property knowing our planned 10 days of relaxation would not be possible. We would not have booked. 7am steel beam drop offs, cement trucks running for hours, 7am-4pm drills, hammers, saws, and the men singing off key- right beside were we had planned to relax and refresh. To say it was a major disappointment and frustration all week is an understatement. By the time they stopped daily there was an hour left of daylight before we had to retreat in and the bugs took over. They only did not work on Sunday. It was wrong this was not disclosed at time of booking so we could have made a choice about how to spend our family vacation.
