Want to get away from it all? Come unplug on Beaver Island with beautiful four bedroom, three bath home right on Lake Michigan....beach literally in back yard!! Sweeping views with amazing window seats flanking entire upstairs living room. Beautiful natural landscaping, stunning sunrises! Incredible screened porch and decks. See why Beaver Island is called the Emerald Isle and a "hidden gem."

Stunning 100 ft of beach, sandy bottom on 1.5 acre wooded lot. Stunning views from living room, bedrooms, and decks. Great view of lake from downstairs living room also! Private setting. Perfect 70 to 80 degree weather with amazing clear blue water. Water clarity is magnificent compared to landlocked homes. Very low light pollution makes this an unforgettable vacation where you can actually see the Northern Lights when conditions are right! Enjoy hiking, fishing, scuba diving, boat rentals, restaurants. There are even two sunken treasures off the island to explore. Unique Irish private island flavor with very friendly community.

Taxis, car rentals, hospital, grocery all on island. No reason to leave, but also quick flight to Mackinac Island. Mackinac is about an hour drive from Charlevoix. The ferry is 2.5 hour ride. We recommend the plane, which leaves from Charlevoix and is only around $65 per person for fifteen minute flights. Stunning views from plane!! Planes come and go from island multiple times per day. Easily accessible by ferry or quick plane ride for very low rates.

We have kayaks in garage for use, as well as several bikes. Firepit and charcoal grill also on site, along with pack-n-play for little ones. Accommodates 8-10 adults with current bedding and one small child in pack and play.

NO smokers, no firearms, no pets, no fireworks, no guests not included in rental agreement. WIFI has worked great. Feel free to ask any questions. We respond very quickly to inquiries and concerns.

The perfect stay for a large family or group of friends. The common area was perfect for relaxing after the beach or reading during the rain. Plenty of space all over the house and awesome access to a private beach. Highly recommend this house!

My wife and I and our 4 friends had a very enjoyable time. Very comfortable house and great location. Joshua and Kelley were very responsive and provided us with great information and suggestions on things to do.We biked, hiked and walked many of the island beaches. Evening Fires by the beach and card games on the large kitchen table at night. Overall a great stay and visit to Beaver Island.

A perfect place for our three generations of family. There were plenty of rooms to sleep and gather. The beach is amazing! We enjoyed the gorgeous sunrises, swimming, and bonfire at night. A short drive to town yet very quiet and peaceful. The owners have put a lot of thought into all the extras: kayaks, bikes, beach towels galore, bug spray, refrigerated aloe, games, puzzles, etc. A beautiful home away from home for the week.

Fourth of July success

We stayed with our infant & husband, my brother his wife 3 kids, my parents, and my other brother with his wife and two kids… kid ages ranged from 1.5-16, adults 37-63 and everyone there had a blast and something to do. Fourth of July parade and fireworks in town did not disappoint, we had the most beautiful sunrises right outside our window, some perfect beach days and night time bonfires, a very relaxing vacation everyone needed. They were extremely quick to respond to any messages, gave lots of advice on where to go and even reminded us when to call the ferry early on so we would be able to bring our cars over as that part books quick! Would stay here again if allowed, kiddos and adults all had a wonderful time.

Wonderful Getaway

Great home on a private beach

Wonder home on a private beach in a relatively secluded about 10 minutes outside of town. It is such a wonderful island community to have a family retreat.

We Love the Beav

Beaver island is a magical place. The Shamrock shores was a beautiful location to relax on the beach and explore the island. Clean, unique character, and plenty of room for 6 of us. The 3 season room was great on a rainy day.

Shamrock get away

A beautiful property with amazing views. The owners were more then accommodating with booking so late in the season and communication was above and beyond. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a Beaver Island adventure to rent this place as it is central and on the Eastern side of the island with a stunning beach.

Paradise found

It just as advertised and better! Super clean, more beautiful than the pictures shown. The home was well equipped and had all the comforts of home, want to keep the place a secret so we can go back again! Josh and his wife were super!

Wonderful home on the shores of Lake Michigan.

Our family loved our stay at Shamrock Shores. The house was clean, decluttered and a great location on the island. The house had everything you need, a great beach too. We even used the kayaks. Josh was extremely responsive. We hope to be back.

Wonderful family retreat

The home is beautiful with a stunning view of Sand Bay. It is virtually new, so the rooms were spacious, which you don't always get on BI. The general living spaces were warm and thoughtfully conceived, and we had all we needed for indoor games, outdoor toys, and kitchen materials. It has a wonderful beach; I suggest water shoes as there are a few rocks. Our hosts were accommodating and responsive before and during our stay. We loved staying there and would do it again in a heartbeat!

Best family vacation spot ever!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shamrock Shores, it's the perfect place for large groups. The house is beautiful, well-appointed, very comfortable with enough space for everyone to spread out. Great views, private beach, very quiet, and so relaxing. Water shoes are definitely a must. The hosts were very responsive. We all agreed this was the best vacation spot ever. Shamrock Shores and Beaver Island are gems! Thank you Josh and Kelly for sharing with us.

Very relaxing and inspiring stay at Shamrock Shores

We thoroughly enjoyed this well equipped beach home on the shores of Beaver Island! Josh is an excellent host who genuinely cares about his guests having a hassle free and pleasant stay at their Island home. It’s well stocked with beach and other outdoor toys and equipment to enhance your enjoyment of the space. Lazy mornings, enjoying the stunning Lake Michigan views and Stargazing by the fire pit on the beach were particularly moving. I would highly recommend both the home and the host without hesitation!

Paradise views

Our stay at Shamrock Shores was all that we hoped for. The house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The location, east mid-island, is convenient for access to town, trails and beaches. We had one car and 7 bikes for 9 people and managed to do most everything we wanted. Beaver Island is paradise and we enjoyed the t-shirt and shorts life style for our special week. Kelly and Josh are excellent hosts and very easy to contact.

HI! We're Kelley and Josh Turner. We live near Dayton, Ohio. It had been our dream for years to own a vacation home on Lake Michigan. We have five children, all adopted, and we wanted them to enjoy the beauty of the our favorite place as much as we did. We noticed for years that our family always had the best time when we vacationed on Lake Michigan or Lake Huron. The kids couldn't get enough of the beach, the lakes, the family game nights, grilling out, and just unplugging. We began our search and realized it was getting harder to find as more and more people swelled into these areas. Locating rentals was also becoming challenging. We found this gem on Beaver Island. We weren't initially sure about "island life." Once we realized how much clearer the water and sky was, and that it was actually a breeze getting on and off island by 15 minute plane ride, we were sold. The island is wonderful, a hidden paradise. The islanders are warm and friendly, waving to everyone they pass. The nature and beauty of the island is unsurpassed, and carefully guarded by the islanders. They take care of this beautiful place, where recycling is key and wildlife and plant protection is of utmost priority. We love what the islanders call "island time." People take the time to talk to each other and meander, taking in beauty that often escapes people on the mainland. Cead Mile Failte is one island expression, translating into a hundred thousand welcomes!! That sums Beaver Island up perfectly.

Off the beaten path to disconnect....no better water clarity, moderate temperatures, incredible skies, Northern lights. Beautiful all four seasons. Unique island flavor.

The island has incredible nature preserves, amazing fishing waters, incredible boating. There are even sunken treasures you can participate in with diving and snorkeling opportunities. Rich island history. Fourth of July and July music festival are renowned celebrations and a must see!! Fall foliage is incredible. Winter landscape is spectacular. Only an hour from Charlevoix to Mackinac Island. Can also do plane trip from island to island.
