A view of the bay is worth the stay! A breath-taking view (180°) of the beaver island harbor (Paradise Bay) overlooking the entire village of St. James. A spacious and comfortable retreat awaits you with all the comforts of a serene and peaceful getaway. Complete with a full front deck for watching the sail boats enter the harbor and front row seats to Lake Michigan’s most stunning sunsets.

This is a comfortable home with a nice layout and beautiful view of Paradise Bay. We enjoy being in town to ride our bicycles on pavement. We enjoy the museums, library and any businesses that are open to browse through. The rustic, rural environment is inviting to us.Keith and Sheri were great at reaching out to make sure all accommodations were satisfactory.

Our hosts Keith and Sheri communicated with us before, during and after our stay.The Beaver Island Harbor View Cottage was very clean with all the amenities as described on the VRBO website. The sunset views from the front porch were breathtaking. We will definitely be back.

Beaver Island Comfort

Keith and Sheri went out of the way to make sure everything was satisfactory. The house was clean and everything worked fantastic. Ceiling fans and a window A/C really helped battle the heat outside. Nice new front deck with a new one getting built in back. Check in and out were easy. Nice personal touch from owners with a gift basket delivered to us to celebrate an anniversary.A very comfortable stay.

Excellent location, great communication

Very comfortable stay for my family if 5 on Beaver Island. The owners were very helpful with tips when we got into a bind with our Car Rental.

Great Cottage

The cottage is exactly as presented in the listing, on the edge of St. James facing the harbor. The cottage was extremely clean, and the kitchen, bathrooms, and deck were all recently renovated - we think we were the first to stay with the new deck out front. Keith & Sheri provided easy check-in and check-out instructions and were very helpful about the ferry. The location is great, a three-minute walk to the grocery store, Whiskey Point Brewing, and the Wild Strawberry. Walking the other way the lighthouse is about five minutes, and there is a great loop around the point and back to the cottage that is primarily a nature preserve - saw many eagles, herons, and other wildlife on runs.

Fantastic Location, Wonderful Hosts - One of the best spots on the Island

The property is in an ideal spot on the island with close walkability to town and the north end light house. The house is very clean and is exceptionally well appointed. It has everything you need for a wonderful stay and everything is easy to find. The hosts are quick to respond and dedicated to making sure your stay is the very best. It is one of the best VRBO properties I have ever stayed in.

Quiet piece of island

The house was old and needs bug bombed. The upstairs bedroom bed was not at all level - it was like sleeping at a decline with your feet higher than your head. Going to pass on this one next year

Great location near the ferry and historic district

Rented this property for a senior adult sibling getaway. Beautiful view of the harbor and walking distance from restaurants, cafes, and even a brewery as well as historic places to visit. Enough sleeping space for 5 adults with a kitchen well stocked for cooking and serving meals.

Convenient Location

This house was the perfect location and size for our group. We were able to walk to the events we came to the island for. Loved that there were two full bathrooms and washer and dryer. The view was spectacular.

This property is very well maintained and the up-graded first floor (super kitchen) is very comfortable. We enjoyed walking to the village shops and front porch and back deck were utilized with comfort. A view of the harbor and the traffic on the bay was interesting. Only drawback was lack of access to the shoreline. Our regular stays at The Rest of our Lives had a beach.

We had a great time and were very impressed with the owner’s communication. The ferry had last minute issues but Keith texted me even before BIBCO called. They were able to get the house ready 4 hours before we had planned on arriving! The view is the best and we lived the home! Hope to come bsck

Another great stay

This was our second time staying at BI Harbor View Cottage. Beautiful view of the harbor, amazing location in town within walking/biking distance to the grocery store, ferry, shops, beach, historical sites/museums, trails, and more. Nice updates to the house since our last stay. Hosts are very responsive to any questions. It’s a great, cozy, clean place to stay, with amenities provided so we had to bring very little other than clothes and beach towels (and we chose to bring many of our groceries). Appreciate that everything else is provided with the house. Can’t wait to go back!

We had a wonderful stay, great location. The only down side was we thought the upstairs rooms had two twins each, instead one had a queen but we made it work. We will definitely be back!

Enjoyed our stay!

We love the location of Keith & Sheri's house. It's nice to be able to walk into town, the lighthouse or just sit on the porch watching the ferry come & go. The location also offers a beautiful sunset view on the water and an easy drive to Donegal Bay for the sunset. We appreciate that the house was clean and the bed comfortable, and that the the kitchen and bathrooms have been updated. Keith, thank you for your responsiveness and we look forward to staying again on future visits!

My family has been going to the island for nearly 50 years. My parents loved the charm and the beautiful lake Michigan scenery. Although my parents are no longer with us, I have been able to keep the tradition alive by bringing my children to the cottage. We still visit the island regularly and I savor the moments that I can spend reminiscing with my two boys of the times, and memories I had during the summers growing up on the island. It is, and will always be, a special place.

The cottage is ideally situated overlooking the harbor. The view is nothing less than spectacular. Sitting on the deck, watching the the boats sail by and enjoying the sunset is inspiring. Most of our guests say that just 'hanging out' on the deck and relaxing is one of the endearing qualities of the Beaver Island Harbor View.
