Host was welcoming to us and our two pups! The place had basic essentials needed. Beds are comfortable. Very quiet neighborhood. Neighbors were friendly and welcoming. The community is dog friendly. Great places to eat near by. The beach is breathtaking. I hope to visit again soon. Thank you for our anniversary memories & wine!

Great location, cute house with lots of amenities. The only thing the house needs to make it a 5 is fans in the living room and bedrooms. Either ceiling fans or portable ones. It was stuffy even with all the windows open at night.

This place was super cool. A great location, just a quick walk to the beach. Easy check-in with a keypad. The kitchen had what we needed. The extra refrigerator in the garage was a big plus! The beds were super comfy. David was very responsive with anything we needed. We will definitely be back!

A Peaceful Gem in the Perfect SpotI had a truly lovely stay at this property. The location couldn’t have been better—quiet, safe, and close to everything I needed without feeling busy or crowded. It struck that rare balance of being tucked away, but still convenient.The home itself was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. The bed was excellent, the linens soft, and everything worked exactly as it should. I didn’t cook much, but the kitchen had everything I needed for simple meals.Most of all, the owner was a dream to work with—kind, responsive, and clearly someone who takes pride in offering a welcoming experience. That personal touch made all the difference.Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, no-stress stay in a truly ideal setting.

Quaint and Cozy

Its not a big place but its cute and adequate for a short stay or a small group. Walking distance to the beach. Owner is nice and easy to communicate with.

Best Holiday!

We live in the neighborhood and rented it for our adult children and a “grand”dog. The house was perfect for our needs. Our family had a lovely place to decompress and we were able to bring Christmas morning in and out in a few hours. It was great! It has so many options for fun in the house as well as in the area. Thanks for a “parents with adult kids“ dream holiday.

Cute little beach house

Super cute and cozy little beach cottage. The game room was a plus with lots of games to choose from and a ton of helpful items to bring to the beach. Great location, just off the freeway, beach access and a short drive to the harbor. Perfect for our quick weekend trip!

Perfect spot

This place was perfect for our stay. Not even a 10 minute walk to the beach. The backyard was more than enough room for what was needed. The game room and laundry room, was the added bonus. Will definitely keep this listing in mind, for future visits.

Great location

We loved the location to the beach and restaurants(walking 5 min ) clean and plenty of room for my little family! Loved the garage play area, laundry area! Perfect beach home cottage.

Clean, convenient, close to the beach

This was a great spot to stay as a family with teenagers. It was a quick walk to the beach and our kids loved surfing the big waves with the boogeyboard. Very clean property that was close to Ventura restaurants and attractions as well. As a bonus, the ferry to Channel Islands National Park is less than 10 minutes away.

Property owner issue

I reached out to the owner 24 hours before arrival because I had received an automated email for VRBO saying I should have a lock code 24-48 hrs before checkin. He responded that I couldn’t have the code until just before check in time and acted like I was crazy to ask. That wouldn’t have been that bad until what happened next. On the night of arrival at 9pm the property owner called me upset saying the VRBO listing was no longer active and asking what it looked like in my end. I assured him everything looked fine on my end and that I had paid 6 months ago when I booked. The next day while I was walking back from the beach and not paying attention to my phone I got 3 missed calls and a text message saying we needed to be out immediately or he was going to call the police. Less than 5 minutes later the home owner arrived st the house with his kids in the car insisting that we needed to leave immediately because the listing was not active so there wasn’t insurance and he couldn’t get paid. He said all this in front of my 3 year old and my mother and wife which was embarrassing. We immediately called VRBO and they verified we were paid and the owner was covered. His account was not active due to some cancelations that they felt were questionable. They reactivated it within a few minutes. VRBO was very professional and helpful in Convincing the owner to allow us to stay and that the property was covered by insurance for the stay. I strongly recommend no staying with the host!

This property is a solid 5 except for lack of space to store clothes for a two-week stay; 4 cabinets and closet were packed with extra bedding, etc. Great laundry facilities, great location 1 block from beach, garage filled with toys for adults and kids, walking to restaurants. Enclosed patio and space (dirt only) for dogs. We recommend that owner add hooks for jackets, hooks for pots/pans to reduce need to get down to floor level to access pots/pans, hooks for cups to provide counter space, and a shelf for food items of guests. These minor changes would add greatly to comfort for long-term stays.

Quick Stay

My son was getting married over Memorial Day weekend on the beach in pierpont. This was the perfect place to stay! We also had our dog with us and the yards were absolutely awesome! The kids enjoyed the game room and played cornhole in the back yard. It’s close to restaurants and the marina park. The hosts were great with communication and ensuring we had anything and everything we needed. Highly recommend this place to stay in Ventura!

A Place with everything you need

the house is extremely comfortable; everything works properly, it is well located, it has everything they advertise it has, you can have fun in it or go for a walk anywhere in Ventura; the host is always paying attention to your messages and always willing to help you... Totally recommended.

Amazing second stay

We decided to take our daughter to LA for her 18th birthday and her request was to return for another stay at this surfers cottage in Ventura! We stayed there last summer. The property is in a great location (walking distance) to the starbucks, eateries, shops, and the main strip in the Pierpoint area and close to the freeway if you have excursions in other areas (about an hours drive to the LA area.) Property is clean, hosts were available if you have to communicate during your stay and the Hosts book of recommendations of places to eat/visit in the area was very helpful.

Great bungalow down from the beach

The owners have transformed what looks like an original beach "cabin" to a modern home. Simple features in the home, and tons of gear for your foray out to the beach!
