The island sun lights up the entire living area through the wall of windows, and it invites you onto the comfy, leather sectional. The cool coastal color palette encourages you to relax and rejuvenate. Imagine movie nights in front of the TV or game nights on the big dining table for 8. The nearby kitchen is fully-equipped with stainless steel appliances, plentiful counter space and all the pots, pans, dishes, etc. you need. Gather your team of chefs to cook up memories together, and bring the food out onto the deck for fun al fresco dining.
The primary king suite is conveniently located on the main level, and boasts direct deck access, a sitting area, and en suite bathroom with double vanities and large walk-in shower. Upstairs, you’ll find a queen bedroom and a bunk room with a queen pyramid bunk and twin bunk with rollout twin trundle that’s perfect for a with several children or as a kid/teen retreat.
The beach is only 8 houses away! Pack up your beach cart and get ready to ride the waves, comb through the sand, and find seashells together. Don’t fret about the salt and sand - the convenient outdoor shower makes it easy to wash up after. Book a trip your family will talk about for years to come!

LINENS & STARTER SUPPLIES KIT We want to help get your trip off to an easy start, so you’ll find a set of starter supplies at your home when you arrive: a roll of toilet paper for each bathroom, dishwashing soap, and shampoo, conditioner, lotion and hand soap for the bathrooms. For longer vacations, please plan to bring your favorite brands with you. Sheets & bath towels are included with every reservation. Housekeeping places freshly laundered linens in the home before every arrival and will collect any used linens after you depart.
LOCAL & LOVING IT We are here to help! Our office is right at the entrance to Pirates Beach and is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day. Our Property Services team is available for guests 24/7, so be sure to call us if there’s anything you need!

In-town attractions are an easy, short drive away – The Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn Waterpark, Galveston Railroad Museum, Historic Downtown Galveston, the Tall Ship Elissa at Pier 23, and many others.

Enjoyable
Our two-week stay was so enjoyable. Our mornings and nights were beautiful as we either sat on the deck or in the hammocks as we listened to the sound of the waves. The house was very comfortable, and we did not feel crowded with ten people.
The kitchen was almost stocked with everything you need. We did have to purchase a can opener (which we left at the house), and a broom would have been nice. We grilled most of our meals, and the kids enjoyed making smores.
The beach was a short walk. Our favorite memories are grabbing flashlights, walking down to the beach, and catching/releasing crabs in the evenings.

Our stay was excellent very close to the beach in the house had everything you needed
Our stay was superb very close to the beach and the house had everything you needed.
We checked in on Friday evening and it was pretty simplistic to get the key from the key box the house was cold when we got there it was very accessible to the beach, walked on the beach that evening. Next day woke up Saturday morning they had enough pans and pots for us to make eggs bacon pancakes everything we needed even salt and pepper the refrigerator fridge raider side-by-side was a little small but we made it work, we went to the beach came back the kids love the games and upstairs was enough room for the four teenagers girls. we had the showers that were really big we washed clothes Sunday we woke up not far from the city we went to church Sacred Heart came back enjoyed the beach again we like that we could rinse our feet downstairs before we came up and there was an outside shower we went back into town that evening to ride bicycles those six Sitters along the seawall was nice the house was close enough into the city from 61st St. to get to let the kids do some things and then we went to the spot to eat. The kids loved the chair swings hammocks downstairs. we checked out Monday morning the only thing that I had an issue was was the key box I couldn’t close it but I called the management property and they fix it right away I also left a hat and I called them after 10 and I was allowed to go back and get it real fast that’s a very big plus because that hat was a very special hat overall excellent stay I would stay there again.

Great experience
We had a great time at Key to Happiness. Short walk to the beach (definitely worth the savings compared to beachfront prices we looked at in the same area), good deck furniture, and nice touches inside. Beds were comfy, and the kitchen & dining were clean and came with all the dishes, pans, etc. we needed. Perfect for our mix of family meals and round-the-clock grazing that always happens on beach trips! Communication with the property manager was easy & timely. Nice to know the office was right around the corner if anything went wrong. We hope to be back soon!
