Memory Maker is a warm, thoughtfully designed North Georgia cabin created for slowing down, reconnecting, and truly enjoying time together. Tucked into a peaceful wooded setting near the base of Tray Mountain, this inviting retreat offers the perfect balance of quiet seclusion and convenient access to Helen and the surrounding area.

Spend your days exploring waterfalls, hiking scenic mountain trails, or strolling through downtown Helen — then return to unwind in the private hot tub under string lights, gather around the fire pit, or enjoy a movie night in the outdoor lounge beneath the stars. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a family escape, or a trip with friends, Memory Maker is designed to feel comfortable, relaxing, and a little bit special.
THE CABIN

Inside, the cabin features soaring cathedral ceilings, warm wood interiors, and a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace that anchors the open living space. The layout flows easily between the living room, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen, making it easy to cook, relax, and gather together.

Sleeping arrangements include:

Fresh linens, extra pillows, and blankets provided

Two full bathrooms stocked with plush towels and essential toiletries

Hair dryer and makeup towels provided

LOCATION

Memory Maker sits at the base of Tray Mountain, surrounded by mountain laurel and peaceful woodland scenery. The setting feels private and calm, with seasonal mountain views, while still being close to Helen and many of North Georgia’s most popular attractions.

Nearby activities include hiking, waterfalls, tubing, wineries, shopping, and dining in Helen. Whether you’re seeking adventure or a slower pace, the cabin’s location makes it easy to enjoy both.

PARKING & ACCESS

The cabin is accessed by a well-maintained gravel drive with a short uphill approach. Any standard vehicle can access the property with ease. Flat parking is available for up to four vehicles, which is a rare convenience in the mountains.

IMPORTANT NOTES

A standard rental agreement will be sent after booking and must be signed within 48 hours. This is standard for guest safety and property care. Detailed arrival instructions and local recommendations are provided after booking in the digital guidebook.

The location, home, and amenities made it a great place to stay. We enjoyed having access to the fire pit, hammock, outdoor theatre while enjoying the hot tub and finding the Secret Garden. It was a great stay and was also perfect for our sweet little doggie. The Welcome note and goodies for us and our dog were a wonderful added touch to checking in.

Very nice place with multiple outdoor spaces and a private hot tub. The kitchen is well equipped and the floor plan is very functional. I enjoyed hearing the neighbors guineas and chickens, made me long for fresh eggs!

Wonderful stay

This is our third time staying at one of Lynette’s properties, our first time at Memory Maker, it will not be our last. Her cabins are so well appointed and always very clean, I especially like the welcome sign and goodie basket. She responds quickly with any questions you may have and is very knowledgeable of the area. The location of this cabin is close to Helen and so many trailheads. Such great hiking in the area from beginners to experienced hikers. So many beautiful waterfalls too.

Lynette has seen to every detail and put together an incredible mountain getaway. Close to both Helen and the National Forest and State Park.

Comfortable home away from home

From booking to end of stay, Lynette was responsive and helpful. Her cabin truly was one of a kind, it was very clean, very comfortable and well stocked. My family traveled from North Carolina for Thanksgiving week. We enjoyed the area, Helen was a really cute town with lots of good eats, drinks and shopping. We even explored the areas a little outside of Main Street and enjoyed the shopping and walking around. We were able to cook a full Thanksgiving meal thanks to Betty’s Country Store in town, and to Lynette’s fully stocked kitchen. No detail was spared, the kitchen, bathrooms and bed rooms had everything you needed being away from home. Each room was comfortable and gave each member of our family their own spot to relax. We’d recommend this destination to our friends and family and we hope to be back again!

Absolutely Perfect

Lynette - WOW!! I'm a bit of a self proclaimed "cabin snob" With this having been said, I believe this was the best cabin we've ever rented. What made this cabin so much better than the others? The communication even before arriving. But once you get there, the handwritten notes, your name on the board welcoming you. The "extras" in the bathrooms and kitchen. The cleanliness, organization and overall decor of the cabin. These "small" details made a HUGE impression - we will be back for sure!! Thank you so much Lynette!! :)

Summer Vacation

The cabin was very clean and organized. It had everything you could possibly need, down to a waterproof dry bag for tubing. If you forgot something, she probably had you covered. She had a welcome basket with a local pancake mix and the fixings for smores. She had the little convenience details like coffee with syrups, water at the bedside, dry shampoo samples, extra toothbrushes etc. You can see she wanted you to have a 5 star experience. The cabin is a short drive to town or the state park. We had a wonderful time and plan to return.

Wonderful cabin for your Perfect getaway ❤️

Staying at this mountain cabin was an absolute delight! The cabin is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, from kitchen essentials to cozy blankets. There's never a dull moment with plenty of games to enjoy. The WiFi is excellent, which is great for staying connected. The highlight was the hot tub and fireplace, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The host is incredibly friendly and responsive, making the stay even more enjoyable, thank you Lynette. 100% recommend this cabin

Would definitely recommend and stay here again. The cabin was great and just as described. We cold tell that the host cared about our stay. They messaged us before we got there and during our stay to see if we needed anything and how things were going. We could tell that they wanted us to have an enjoyable stay. Awesome cabin and host.

Christmas Family-Time

The Memory Maker was the absolute best cabin we have ever stayed in. Our host, Lynette, literally had everything we could think of from personal needs amongst other things. This was our family’s first Christmas in the cabins and it was decorated sooo beautifully! Recommend to any and everyone ! You will NOT be disappointed! Thanks to Lynette and her team! 😊

Great getaway!

We stayed at Memory Maker for Thanksgiving break and it was a great getaway! The cabin was tucked away in the mountain side, which offered the seclusion we wanted, but only a short drive took us to the great town of Helen. The cabin was cozy and included everything you can think of, for an amazing experience…firewood, towels/linens, games, spices, spa, flashlights, marshmallow sticks, etc. I would highly recommend this cabin.

Best place to stay in the area!

I can't begin to say how fabulous this experience was. Lynette, the owner, was very helpful and communicative. She has an eye for the finer things and a sincere care for making the guests feel welcome and special. There was a blackboard with a welcome message and my name and while this doesn't sound like a big deal, it is one example of the many small things that made this one big and special vacation. The cabin itself looks brand new, the wood interior is shiny and something super important to me is how CLEAN it is. Lynette makes it easy to keep it clean if you read her thorough and well-thought-out guide. She offers you to print it out beforehand and also has it in tablet right on the wall. In the guide, you'll find everything from what to do before the vacation, to during it and afterwards. Back to the clean atmosphere...she leaves a towel at the front door if you have a dog so you can clean their perhaps muddy paws from all that hiking. She has extra sheets available and easy to find to put over the beds if you let your furry baby sleep with you, she has blankets for the couch if you let them on the couch. So BIG PLUS was this was a luxury home that allows dogs. I realize not all dog parents are super responsible and spoil it for the rest of us and I hope that doesn't happen with this cabin because there are so few cabins that are beautiful PLUS allow dogs. I'm out of room here and I wanted to go on about the details of the cabin and perfect area it's in so I can't! :D

Excellent place to stay in the woods

We stayed at Memory Maker for a week and enjoyed every minute. The house was so impressive with all the personal touches. Lynette had everything you needed and if it wasn’t there she would provide. House was clean and fully supplied. We checked out some of the restaurants and plenty of the hikes she recommended. If you haven’t been here you need to check this place out. Relaxing and clean

This was the the cleanest place I have ever stayed. We were so comfortable and relaxing. Lynette has everything you could possibly need. The personal touches were so thoughtful. We felt like we were staying at a friends house it was so comfortable. We will definitely be back.

60th Birthday

This was such a special place! Our host made us feel so welcome, her communication was beyond five stars! The home was well stocked with everything you could possibly imagine and it was the best VRBO experience we have ever had. The attention to detail was evident everywhere and the cabin was immaculate. We are already making plans to return!

Wish we stayed longer!

We had the best time at Memory Maker. Wish we could have stayed longer! The cabin was so comfortable and clean. There is so much to do in the area with the kids. Fun hikes, zipline courses, tubing, a mountain coaster and so much more! We even brought our pup with us to many places. We had a great summer vacation! Fun memories to cherish. Thanks again, Lynette, for being a wonderful host. Makes all the difference.

Beautiful Cabin where they have thought of everything

Memory Maker is a beautiful property with very easy access to Helen. The property feels very secluded but you're right off a main road. It has been beautifuly decorated and appointed with everything you will need for a mountain getaway. They have really put a lot of special touches into the property and we had a wonderful time.
