“BayView Cottage” is located in the gated Kings Bay Village on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay in the Bay Creek Resort in Cape Charles on Virginia’s Scenic Eastern Shore. Locals call the Kings Bay Village homes the “jelly Bean” homes because of the many vivid colors of these West Indies style homes. As a part of this colorful Bayside village, “BayView Cottage” has views of the Chesapeake Bay from its morning room on the second floor and from its Crows-Nest on the third floor. Views of the village’s lake are also available while barbequing and relaxing on the home’s back deck. There are four bedrooms and 3 bathrooms: Master bedroom with a king bed and ensuite bath, and the other 3 bedrooms furnished with queen beds, other 2 bathrooms shared by these bedrooms, and a twin daybed located on the third floor. With a TV in each bedroom, a recreation room with a game table, bicycles, kayak and paddle board, etc., and a well-equipped kitchen. “BayView Cottage” and the Kings Bay Village offer everything needed for a relaxing and fulfilling vacation.
At BayView Cottage, guests will have full access of Bay Creek free amenities, including community swimming pool, tennis/pickleball courts, soft sand private beach, 350 acre Nature Preserve with trails & kayak launch. In order to access Bay Creek's Life Center (pools, fitness center & member lounge), you will need to pay an additional fee of $75 per night for the full duration of your stay, regardless whether you use it each day. You may book tee times at Bay Creek as well and pay a per person rate at the Pro Shop at the time of playing. You will receive an email with a form to fill out & submit for either choice. Cape Charles offers the Cape Charles Beach and adjacent Fun Pier, open day and night, for strolling, crabbing and fishing. A full complement of boutique shops is available in Cape Charles with unique offerings of local artists and crafts persons. Cape Charles visitors enjoy its many Eateries specializing in coffee house coffee and breakfasts, homemade ice cream, crabs at the Cape Charles Harbor, tavern cocktails, gourmet dinners, and pizza extravaganza. Plays and movies can be enjoyed at the 1950s restored movie theater now operated by the local arts organization, Arts Enter, and the Cape Charles Museum gives visitors an appreciation of the town’s colorful past. Charter boats offer both Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean Deep Sea fishing as well as tours. Many of the “BayView Cottage” guests rent street-legal golf carts and have fun touring the many historic homes of Cape Charles, including the carefully-kept 1920s Sears and Roebuck mail order homes. Guest also enjoy walking and riding their bicycles on the boardwalk at the Cape Charles Beach or on paved trails that run throughout Cape Charles.
