Beachfront Designer Home on Pirates Beach

This water's edge house sleeps 12 and has interiors by Houston-based designer, Jeanne St. Paul of Merritt Lauren Laine. It includes a gorgeous Master Suite with private bath and home office area on its own floor, accompanied by two luxurious Queen bedrooms and two bunk-bedrooms on the second floor. You will never miss the ocean in this house, as every room has an unobstructed view of the water and direct access to one of the two outdoor decks. The large open kitchen features new appliances and marble countertops and overlooks a spacious den with room for your entire group to spread out and relax, whether it be watching TV on the oversized sectional, cozying up by the wood burning fireplace, or entertaining at the dining table. If you venture out onto the deck you will find chairs for lounging, and a space for entertaining. The Master boasts its own private deck on the top floor, ensuring that you are just steps from the salt air no matter where you are in the house. This beach retreat is also equipped with the best internet available for the area allowing for great streaming or if needing to work while visiting.

Pirates Beach is a private beach. The benefit of a private beach is they are better kept and much less crowded than the nearby public beaches. Pirates Beach is also a vehicle free beach.

Overall a great time!

This was the second trip we had to this beautiful beach property. Overall, it was a great stay. Check in and check out went smoothly and the place was clean but definitely starting to show some signs of age. The hot tub was unfortunately out of order and drained so we didn’t get any use of that. The electronics/wi-fi/kitchen and bathrooms all worked perfectly. I definitely can recommend staying here. Great location as well.

Nice location, quiet, air conditioning working well

Hard to reach out to the property manager. I couldn’t use hot tub. It’s an aged house and master bathroom on top had no curtain- difficult to use shower booth with open window. One, two bunk bedroom had no air con attached- hot and not air flow if the door closed. Overall beautiful house, many rooms, and close to beach

This property is RIGHT ON the beach! Wonderful location for a beach vacation. Home accommodated our whole crew & the owner Leah was available to answer all questions promptly.

Great Stay!

We loved our time at this property. Being right on the beach was great, the house had everything we needed and the layout was perfect for 3 generations of a family aged 3-85. The owners were very responsive to all messages. We will definitely be back...just not during hurricane season!

beautiful spacious home on private beach! Older home but with all the amenities you need: gas grill, hot tub, 3 bathrooms, large kitchen, kayak & body boards, sand toys & chairs, etc. Thank you for renting your home to us!

Right on the Beach

What a fun-filled trip! The owner of the property could not have been more kind and accommodating. We loved our time there and can't wait to go back. This was perfect for families with small children - the space downstairs, right on the beach, can't be beat!

Amazing location

House was great and accurately described in the listing. An initial problem with lock code, but host was available on the phone and solved the problem. Great layout for big family. Kitchen great layout. A few more microwave safe serving dishes would be helpful, but overall well stocked kitchen.

On the Beach!

This unique home sits right on the beach! We enjoyed being so close. The home is an older home that has been remodeled. We cooked every evening and the kitchen was great. We had one issue with the air conditioner in the bunk room, but the owner was very responsive and sent someone to repair the problem. Our family had a great time!

Great beach house for our end of summer family vacation - Perfect!

H2O is everything it is advertised. Our extended family 3 couples with children, had all the room to be comfortable and relaxed. On the beach with great decks both covered and open to amazing ocean views. Impeccably decorated and stocked with everything we could ask for. Leah was excellent; very accommodating, easy to work with and super responsive. We would without hesitation recommend H2O, Leah and return for another week in the future.

Terrible stay!!!

This property is messy, rodent infestation, cleaneness a major yuk and I can go on with this “Luxury Waterfront “ rental as a joke! Do not for any reason, rent this property, you will be so disappointed!!!!!!!!

Awesome place to stay! Wish it was my permanent beach house!

Awesome place to stay! This house is one of the few if not the only house that is truly located on the beach. You can step from the porch onto the beach! No long walk over the dunes. You can see the ocean from almost anywhere in the house! Lots a space to spread out and perfect for those big family vacations. Loads of deck space on both bottom and second floor as well as a great hot tub that overlooks the beach! This house is laid out perfectly for families with kids that are worried about sleeping arrangements as there are plenty of beds. Would definitely recommend staying in this home. The owner makes it extremely easy and will provide you will a great vacation experience. I wish every rental home was this well thought out. I know we will be back!

Private paradise

Excellent location on Jamaica Beach-a private residential beach. Every room in the house has an unobstructed view of the beach. We had 12 adults and 2 toddlers with plenty of room to spare. We loved the multilevel balconies and the deck below. There is also an outdoor/indoor speaker system that was really cool to use. The place is very well decorated. Make sure to bring your own soap and shampoo. The oven had issues while we were there and the owner sent someone out to help. The owner is very responsive to questions. There are a few baby gates which were helpful to have for our 1 and 3 year old. Bring your own portable crib/pack n play. The property was also very clean.

Winter Stay

We had a great stay! We were 2 families with 7 children and 4 parents. The room set-up worked well, and we even had an extra queen room to spare due to the excellent bunk rooms! Nice bedding in all rooms. We stayed in and cooked quite a bit due to sub-freezing temps over New Year's , and found everything we needed in the kitchen. The island is large and there is plenty of seating for big families. The hot tub worked well. The house is literally on the beach, and would be great in summer. The only down-side is the second master bath is near the the kitchen/living and ends up being shared with everyone because it's the closest to the activities and quad bunk room. To be fair, you could close off the kitchen access and still have access only through the bedroom. All around great house in Galveston!

Majestic Ocean View

If location is what matters most to you, this property can’t be topped! It’s an elderly majestic modern home showing its age at every turn and listed on Zillow for sale. While making sandwiches and relaxing in the family room, a group of 6 or 7 adults showed up peering in our windows and walking around the decks. We asked them to kindly leave and they chanted, “It’s listed on Zillow ! It’s listed on Zillow!” We took it lightly, but it was annoying. Sagging draperies, moldy carpet, no towels in the master bath; no open closet (all locked) to hang clothing in the Master, many many “little things.” However, location is fantastic!

Not worth the money !

Way too much money for the issues we had!!! Downstairs on the porch were notices to stop work orders posted so to start we had to call and make sure we were even allowed to be there. Understandable there had been a storm & work was being done but should have cleaned up all the nails all over the porch with kids coming! Trash was piled up all over the porch and the big trash cans were full too! Description says there was a grill but there was only a broken grill in pieces so we couldn’t even grill the steaks we had brought. The microwave was broken until they finally sent us a new one the last day we were there so all the quick food we brought for the kids went to waste The plumbing backed up into the showers on the first day July 3 & although they sent a plumber out on the 4th of July we still had to stay in a house that had poop filled showers & still wasn’t fixed until July 5th. So 12 people with 1 bathroom wasn’t the plan. the hot tub didn’t work. I did buy a broom and left it for the next guest because how can you not sweep for 5 days with a big house full of kids. There is no air flow in one of the bunk bed rooms so don’t even count that in your places to sleep. If all you want is a place to sleep close to the beach this is a great location but they need to update their pictures and description online for sure ! Also get up very early to have your space on the beach because people come and set up right in front of the house bright and early !

Celebration for a 60th Birthday

Everyone loved the house. Views were beautiful especially at sunrise and sunset. Well equipped kitchen. Plenty of room for 14 people. The children loved being right on the beach. We are all hoping to be able to go again.

Beautiful Beach House

Enjoyed spending Thanksgiving at this beautiful place with my husband and son. We had a great time - the home is very spacious and gorgeous. The hot tub was very enjoyable especially having the ocean just steps away from us! This place is one of our favorite locations. We loved it so much that we look forward to enjoying a future Holiday with my family. Also, Leah is excellent! Thank you!
