Wonderful Vacation Home

This is our third time staying in this house. Location and neighborhood are fantastic. The house was clean and communication with the owner was easy. It was great for our family!

Great property!

The house was closer to the beach than expected. The house was better than in the pictures. The kitchen was stocked with all that we needed for cooking. The reclining chairs were so comfortable!!

Great Location

Overall the stay was good. The location of the house and the neighborhood it was in was perfect. The wagon and beach accessories were such a great bonus and really came in handy. The beach was just a short walk away and we had a private entrance with rinse off showers, bathrooms, and a little beverage shack where you could also rent the chairs and umbrellas. The layout of the house was perfect, allowed the boys and girl to have separate rooms. The kitchen had everything we needed. For the few items we forgot, there was a dollar general a very short 2 minute walk away as well.

Nice relaxing stay

Property more than met expectations. House was fully equiped and comfortable. Quiet location. Walk to the beach was not bad, especially if you used the beach wagon. The golf cart shuttle that runs constantly through out the day is a plus, if you dont want to walk it. Didn't have to reach out to the owner for any issues, but he was proactively communicating with us upon arrival, to make sure we were good to go. We rented beach chairs and umbrella from the beach. Our spot was setup and ready for us all week, and made for an even more relaxing trip. We would gladly stay here again.

Family time at the beach

The property is mostly as described. Decent size for our family of 4. Gave room for the kiddos to be apart by having their own room. Teenage boys dont necessarily wanna be in same room. The kitchen was mostly furnished just missing a peeler (we had carrots) good placement for being close to Destin, but was a longer walk to the beach than expected. The shuttle wasnt always around. Most of the stuff in the beach closet was not worth dragging down, the umbrellas didnt have bottoms - i didnt search through the closet, they could have been in there, but w/quick glance/grab they werent there. The plumbing in this place was awful- the toilets didnt flush everything down but maybe 1 time out of 5, then we had to wait for it to run it's course to attempt another flush. We found it weird we paid as much as we did and there were just some odd "fixes" you would think paying as much as we did it would be pristine and the handsoaps wouldnt be watered down. A map w/more detail of the property would be nice to know how to get to the beach, pools, etc.

Great family getaway in a stocked rental property

We have stayed in a lot of rentals in Destin, Miramar, and Sandestin over the years. This was by far one of the best supplied homes. PLENTY of towels, extra bed linens, kitchen supplies, and the best beach closet ever! It was so nice not packing our beach wagon, floats, and sand toys from home. We didn’t need to contact the host for anything. We had all the info we needed ahead of time. We walked (with our youngest in a stroller) to four local restaurants. No bikes or golf cart needed. The walk to the beach wasn’t too bad. Nice to have bathrooms at the Emerald Shored beach pavilion. However the concession stand was closed during spring break for construction. No one ever checked the wristbands we paid for… no one else seemed to have them. Maybe save your money unless someone asks you? Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids had lots of space. My in-laws even stayed for a couple nights and we weren’t on top of each other. Tons of families with young kids. Didn’t notice any loud “spring breakers.” Would highly recommend staying here.

Great Family Vacation!!

Beautiful property and house for a family of 6! Great location, super close to the beach and stocked with everything you could possibly need on a vacation. The only thing we needed was beach towels, sunscreen and food. Kids asked if we could go back every year:)

Fantastic place.

This house has everything. The LARGE beach wagon is perfect. It held all our stuff and the short walk to the beach. There are extra beach chairs, toys, floaties, umbrellas, etc. all available. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are nice. My kids and I would definitely stay here again. You won’t find a better place for the price!

Wonderful Property and Location

This is our second time staying at this house, and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time! It is the perfect size for our family and the location is wonderful. It is a short walk to the beach and neighborhood pool, is stocked with toys for the kids, and is clean and comfortable. The owner is very responsive and the check-in process was easy. Five stars all around!!

Doesn’t Disappoint!

We had a fantastic week staying at this property. Bob, the owner, is awesome to work with - he responds to questions quickly. The house is perfect for a family. The extra beach toys were appreciated, as well as the fully stocked kitchen. I couldn’t believe there was even a teapot! Anyone who stays here will not be disappointed.

Wonderful!

This was perfect for my family of 7! Everything was nice and clean, I did have to apologize because my toddler broke a bird statue not even 5 minutes of being there 😭😭. It’s walking distance to the beach with a beach cart shuttle too. Would definitely come back.

Great house

Everything that we needed and more was provided. It was clean and well kept. We really appreciated the cart that was available to haul items to the beach. The burners on the grill might need to be replaced as the whole burners did not light, just the front half. We highly recommend this house.

Enjoyed our stay…

Property was nice. Has some cleaning issues but, upon notifying the owner was quickly resolved. The only problem with staying Marimar Beach right now is that the traffic is AWFUL!! Takes way too long to go anywhere. Until they finish Hwy 98 construction, this will continue to be a major issue.

Great Family Getaway

Property was perfect for our family of five with extra space. Short walk to the beach, also there is a trolley that goes back and forth. Property is fully stocked including everything you need for the beach(wagon,chairs,coolers,sand toys,etc.)
