Casa Ravenala is a charming and romantic 2 bed\2bath mountain retreat. It is nestled in the jungle 1,000 feet above sea-level overlooking the town on Uvita and its famous Whale's Tail located on the south pacific coastline of Costa Rica. It is perfect for a couple who wants to spend a romantic vacation or spending time away to work remotely or for two couples or for a family of 4 with teenagers/young adults who want to spend a fun holiday filled with many adventures available from swimming in the ocean, chasing waves on the boogie boards/surfing, zip lining, hiking to waterfalls, atv tours, snorkeling or scuba diving.

It is located at the end of the picturesque mountain road ensuring privacy and serenity. The road itself is a steep mountain climb. A 4x4 vehicle is ESSENTIAL. At every turn you are rewarded with breathtaking views. While it feels wonderfully secluded, the town of Uvita is only 15 minutes down the mountain and it has well stocked grocery stores, great restaurants and a variety of other services to make your stay comfortable. And in 5 minutes drive you can reach Playa Uvita and Playa Hermosa each offering miles of flat, walkable beach. The clear, warm ocean is great for swimming and surfing. We provide beach chairs and umbrella , 'boogie boards' and coolers to fully enjoy trips to the beach!

The neighboring towns of Dominical and Ojochal offer great restaurants and shopping.

This lush 3.6 acre property is landscaped with fruit trees and shrubs which attract the local hummingbirds and butterflies. Surrounded by the jungle flora you will be visited by howler monkeys, white-faced monkeys and coatis which travel up and down the jungle canopy. The distant rush of ocean waves crashing on the reef blends harmoniously with the sounds of toucans, scarlett macaws and other tropical songbirds. It is a perfect setting for your tropical vacation!

The elevation provides you breathtaking ocean views, warm afternoons and cool evenings - no A\C is required. There are virtually no pesky mosquitos to spoil the experience!

Constructed in 2019, Casa Ravenala is a well designed 2 bedroom\2 bath holiday home. Each room in this one story house has a beautiful ocean view. The home was designed to blend the indoor and outdoor spaces. Everywhere in the house you feel connected to the mountain, the ocean and the jungle. All rooms face the ocean and walk out to the screened in veranda that runs the entire length of the home adding over 500 sq\ft of living space. In the veranda, there is a dining table that seats 6 and two rocking chairs to enjoy your morning tea or coffee.

The extensive 780 sq/ft ocean view deck contains a beautiful day bed to read and relax in. There is a comfortable sitting area to enjoy afternoon cocktails. You can sunbathe during the day and take in the beautiful star-lit skies at night. The view is even more spectacular than you can imagine. It is ever-changing and always beautiful; like live art! At sunrise and sunset the colors are brilliant. The angle of the light shifts the focus of your view from the Whale's Tail to the jungle.

Casa Ravenala comfortably sleeps 4 people. Each of the two bedrooms has an en suite bathroom. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed. The bathroom has a double vanity and a spacious walk-in shower. The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed. The bathroom has a single vanity and a glassed walk-in shower and an adjacent laundry room. There are closet spaces in each of the bathrooms. If an additional sleeping arrangement is required the sofa in the living room hides a double bed.

The house has an open concept living room and kitchen. The modern kitchen is complete with quality brand appliances including dishwasher, stove with gas cook top, toaster oven and microwave. You will appreciate the quality cookware, dishes and utensils. The island provides plenty of counter and storage space. The living room is well appointed. It features a comfortable leather sleeper-sofa and one-of-a-kind furnishings.

There is high speed internet and WIFI which reaches throughout the
house and the outdoor spaces. There is a smart TV so you can get
together and watch your favorite shows or movies on Netflix, or other
available streaming services.
