The host was quick to answer emails. All of the amenities were excellent for a restful weekend. The coffee,teas, and hot chocolate were super for extra cold but restful weekend.

Owners were very responsive with any questions and accommodated some changes we requested with no issues which was so helpful to us. You canā€™t get any closer to the beach! We had an awesome time. A must visit.

Quiet and pleasant. Came during hurricane season and the waters were rough and some flooding. The host Darren was excellent and very helpful and informative.

Awesome Vacation

This was our first trip to the OBX and we couldnā€™t have asked for a better place to stay. House was clean, comfortable and roomy and the view was fantastic!! There were a couple weather related issues but Darren was quick to respond, kept us updated and issue resolved. Will definitely look to rent again if we go back to the OBX.

Amazing Location and a Wonderful Host

This was our first visit to the OBX and staying at Heads Above was excellent! The customer service and attention we received from Darren was timely and top notch. Darren even provides an App for your smartphone on all the "need to know" topics for the house and surrounding area. The accommodations were comfortable, clean and the location couldn't be beat. The best compliment I could give is that I want to go back.

Absolutely Perfect

It was one of the best vacations. It was everything we hoped for. The view is breathtaking and peaceful. The place was clean and so roomy. Darren and Claudia were the best hosts. They checked in to see if everything was okay and if we needed anything. Even got us chairs and an umbrella when I mentioned if they had them there. They couldnā€™t be more accommodating. I will be telling all my friends who want to go to the Outer Banks. We would definitely stay there again. Cheryl C.

OBX House

The inside of the home was super clean, decorated nicely. Extremely close to the ocean. The views are spectacular. Especially from the upper deck. Our only issue was the driveway. There was so much sand that it made it hard to walk to and from our vehicle. The driveway should have been cleared, at least to some degree. I notice other rentals had the driveway cleared.

Dreamy beach getaway

One of our favorite beach trips yet! Perfect for a family with children to let them run wild on the beach. We spent most of our time outside but the inside was just as great!! The location cannot be beat, the home is extremely cozy, and the hosts are great! We will definitely be back šŸ˜€

Great location, amazing host!

Darren is an amazing host! He did a great job of helping me rent the place out last minute and answered every question or concern I had in a timely manner! Heā€™s a great guy and even has his cleaning crew send me my sweatshirt I left behind! The view was absolutely breathtaking and the house itself felt very homey! Would stay here again for sure! Large house, lots of space!

We stayed here with our family and my sisters family. There was plenty of room, owners communicated well, walking distance to most things including the pier. I would definitely come back.

Our best family vacation to date!

Our family agreed that our stay at this property was our best vacation to date! We love OBX and this was our first stay in Rodanthe. The house was perfect and the host was amazing; great communication. The hosts turned what could have been a disaster of a vacation when we were bumped last minute from our original rental into the perfect week. They even arranged amazing weather for usšŸ˜ƒ. 10 out of 10!

Young family very blessed to have two amazing kids and a new little golden doodle named Oliver. I Grew up on the west coast and lived in Washington state and attended college in Hawaii and Pennsylvania. Use to take trips to the OBX while in school. My wife grew up in Argentina and we met while I worked in Huntington Beach, CA. We enjoy traveling and exploring the world. Also, enjoy hiking and golf, and long walks on the beach. Love the outer banks and what the area has to offer. Glad we can share our property with our guests from around the world. We hope you also feel welcome staying here!

When I was in graduate school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania we would have super activities with large groups of young adults in our church on the outer banks of North Carolina. We would rent these large houses on the beach and have big bonfires and sit in the hot tub after a fun day on the beach exploring the area. It was a blast and I have fond memories of that and the amazing beauty of the area. I wanted my family and kids to experience similar things so when the opportunity presented itself we couldn't resist and we bought our first property on the beach in the quaint village of Rodanthe, called "Heads Above"!

O que faz essa propriedade ser Ćŗnica?

This property is unique because it is on the beach. I mean literally on the beach. There are fewer of these type of house left in the area and you can hear the soft tranquil waves crashing on the shore from inside the house. But even better there are 3 decks to observe the majestic sea from above or to watch the magnificent sea birds fly by. Two decks are facing the ocean with unobstructed views on the back of the house and they are large with lots of patio furniture and a hot tub. The front porch deck has sound views with the most amazing sunsets! Great place to escape in the early evenings in the lounge chairs with a favorite beverage. Also there are restaurants and shops close and within walking distance or a short bike ride to the house. Convenient in all respects.
